NEWS BRIEF: "Three arrested in alleged bomb plot", by Dan Barry, The New York Times, The Providence Journal-Bulletin, Friday, August 1, 1997, page A-1, A-8.

"NEW YORK -- "Two men with Jordanian passports and a third from Egypt were arrested yesterday morning in a Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment, where police found components of one or more pipe bombs -- evidence of what the authorities say was a terrorist plot to detonate bombs in the busy Atlantic Avenue subway station and on a commuter bus ... Federal law enforcement officials said the police had recovered a nine-inch pipe packed with gunpowder and nails, and a device in which four pipes had been wrapped together and equipped with toggle-switch detonators. At least three high-ranking investigators said yesterday that the lack of a timer or a remote-control detonator on the device strongly suggested that it was intended for a suicide attack."

"Police Commissioner Howard Safir said that the material was powerful enough to kill anyone within 25 feet of detonation in an enclosed space. The plot was uncovered late Wednesday when a man, describing himself as a co-conspirator in the throes of a change of heart, waved down a police officer to confess. His information carried a chilling resonance: Tuesday, two suicide bombers set off explosions in a crowded Jerusalem market, killing 13 people."

"The discovery of the explosives was yet another reminder of the city's vulnerability to terrorism ... Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and federal officials were careful yesterday to not link the arrests to any single group or nationality. But the mayor said, 'There are indications that at least one of the people involved in this, that was arrested, was yesterday expressing support for what happened in Israel and was gratified that it had occurred.' "

Of course, the event to which Mayor Giuliani was referring was the Arab suicide bombing in Jerusalem, in which 13 innocent Jewish civilians were killed, when two Arabs associated with the extremist group, Hamas, blew themselves up in a crowded shopping market. Hamas is one of the most extreme groups cooperating with Yassir Arafat in his campaign to use the "peace process" as the weapon to finally kill the entire nation, Israel, and finally drive its inhabitants "into the sea".

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. allowed plot suspect to stay: 1 of 2 held in NYC had been given 60 days to leave", by Dan Barry, The New York Times, Providence Journal-Bulletin, Saturday, August 2, 1997, pages A-1, A-4.

"NEW YORK -- Ghazi Abu Maizar, one of two men arrested in a suspected terrorist plot to detonate bombs in Brooklyn, had been detained by federal authorities earlier this year, but was allowed to stay in the United States temporarily even though he told the authorities that Israel considered him a terrorist, officials said yesterday. Since June, 1996, Abu Maizar had been caught three times trying to sneak into the United States from Canada. The third time, officials said, he requested political asylum, claiming that he would face persecution in Israel where he was regarded as a terrorist -- wrongly, he said. Federal officials gave him 60 days -- until August 23 -- to leave the country."

"The revelation left immigration officials scrambling for an explanation and Mayor Rudolph Giuliani seething yesterday. Abu Maizar and Lafi Khahil, both of whom described themselves as Palestinian, were arrested shortly before dawn on Thursday in a Brooklyn apartment where police officers found the makings of two pipe bombs. Officials allege that the men planned to bomb a busy subway station and a commuter bus and that the arrests thwarted the plan at the very last minute."

NEWS BRIEF: "Relatives say suspects had little interest in religion, politics: Ghazi Maizar's only known political leanings were for the leftist Palestinian group called the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine", The New York Times, Providence Journal-Bulletin, Saturday, August 2, 1997, page A-4.

"HEBRON, West Bank --- Abu Maizar was in high school in 1987 when frustration with the occupation grew into an uprising on the West Bank. His only known political leanings were for the leftist Palestinian group called the 'Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine', one of the nine factions that make up the Palestine Liberation Organization."

Thus, we have firm linkage, between this hideous plot to kill as many innocent Americans as possible, the "suspects" and the Arab extremist organization, the PLO. In the Jerusalem attack the extremist Arab terrorist organization, Hamas, claimed responsibility. But, the PLO is equally as vicious as is Hamas, and is equally adamant that Israel must be destroyed. Remember, these Arabs planned on detonating two bombs, with two attacks: one on a crowded commuter bus, and one on a equally crowded subway station. American and Israeli Intelligence have known for some time, now, that the Arab extremists hate America with great fury, because we have so consistently supported Israel since 1948. In several wars since then, Israel would have been defeated in battle had it not been for the vast support of American Presidents, supplying and resupplying Israel's military. In the past 20 years, American Foreign Policy has been intent upon maintaining a "qualitative edge" between Israel's armed forces and that of the Arabs. In other words, America has been firmly committed to keeping Israel's forces technologically so superior to that of the Arabs, so that Israel cannot be defeated. Many of today's Arabs do view America as the "Great Satan", as the late Ayatollah Khomenia was so fond of saying. They understand that America has "guaranteed" Israel's survival for the past 30 years. In their view, if America had not so vigorously acted on Israel's behalf, Israel would have been destroyed by now. Many Americans wonder why we have not been more of a target by Arab terrorists in these past two decades, especially.

This is the commonly accepted viewpoint. Of course, we have two other viewpoints that supersede the commonly accepted viewpoint, also known as "Conventional Wisdom".

First, we know that Omnipotent God is on His throne, ensuring that world events are occurring so that His prophecies cannot fail. We further understand that the rebirth of Israel in 1948 fulfilled many Biblical prophecies, both Old and New Testaments. This national rebirth began the process of producing the End of the Age Tribulation Period, of which Jesus spoke in Matthew 24. Therefore, since 1948, God has been dealing with Israel on the same basis as he dealt with the Israel of the First Covenant, the Old Testament Israel.

Since this is true, we might find it instructive to see how God protected Israel in the Old Testament.

1) Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn." This passage means that God will render every Arab weapon useless at the moment of battle. We have repeatedly shown in our articles that the Arabs have embarked on an intense campaign to acquire the latest in both American and Russian weaponry, in an effort to bring their forces up to par with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). However, all Arab efforts are doomed to fail.

2) Deuteronomy 28:7, "The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways." This promise has been perfectly fulfilled many times in the modern wars of Israel! On many occasions, the Arab armies have outnumbered the Israeli decisively, and yet have been thoroughly beaten. The Lord God has repeatedly sent fear and mental confusion into the minds of the Arab soldiers and generals, allowing Israel to win and win and win again, against all odds!!! This situation will never change; if it does, you can start believing in another God!

3) Joel 3:19-21, "Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land".

20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion." Verse 19 speaks clearly to the Arab actions against Jews in Israel today: "they have shed innocent blood in their land". Then, God speaks His judgment: ""Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom [all Palestinian Arabs, both the PLO and Jordan] shall be a desolate wilderness". We are very, very close to seeing this event occur! But, then, God promises Israel, that she shall "dwell forever" and that Jerusalem shall dwell "from generation to generation". Notice that the issue is not, "Will Israel survive", or "Will Jerusalem remain in Israeli control"? God has already settled the issue: Israel will survive and Jerusalem will remain Jewish. Why? Because "the LORD dwelleth in Zion". Of course, Zion is the Temple Mount area, where the Jewish Holy of Holies within the Jewish Temple is to be located. Today, the Arab Dome of the Rock sits on this area, so we know that it will be destroyed, soon. We find it very interesting that New Age author, Peter Lemesurier, writing in his book, "The Armageddon Script", states boldly that the Dome of the Rock is slated for destruction, just as Bible prophecy foretells!!

4) Amos 9:14-15, "And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, [literally, 'I will bring back the exiles of My people, Israel'] and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God." Once God reestablished Israel as a nation again, in 1948, He promised them that they would never again be "pulled up out of their land".

Therefore, these four verses dramatically show us that God is in firm control over the events of the entire world, including the Middle East. God is allowing the Arabs to vent their hatred toward the Jews, "filling up their sins to the brim", in anticipation of complete destruction at the Judging Hand of Almighty God!! We Born Again Christians should pray for God's protection of Israel, that all events should unfold just as God foretold, so that God will receive the glory when events occur just as He foretold over 2,500 years ago!!!

The second viewpoint we hold is that the New World Order Plan is in human control over these events. A major point of emphasis here in The Cutting Edge Ministries has been that our faith is dramatically strengthened when we realize that events are occurring, or are planned to occur in the New World Order Plan, just as God foretold they would occur!!

In the scenario intended to produce the Antichrist, the New World Order Plan envisions a sequence of events that was foretold in Matthew 24, a gradually increasing series of events that are reminiscent of the "birth pangs" of which Jesus spoke. Certainly, this Twentieth Century has seen unparalleled wars, rumors of wars, diseases, earthquakes, and other natural disasters. But, since we are very close to the birth of Antichrist, we should expect that these "signs" should get even stronger and occur more often!

Wars and rumors of wars have never slowed down in this Twentieth Century.

Natural disasters are definitely on the dramatic increase. Earthquake activity continues to increase exponentially, decade to decade. Earthquakes have been so much on the increase that New Age talk show host, Art Bell, has emphatically declared that all of nature is coming to a climax, a complex event which he calls "The Quickening". You can keep tabs on all the latest earthquake activity on his Web Site [See NEWS1014 and NEWS1016, Art Bell's Web Site]. In this decade of the 1990's, we have seen unparalleled storms which have repeatedly been declared "Once in 500 years", or "Once in 100 years", from hurricanes, to floods, to volcano eruptions.

Famines have been so common in the last 20 years that many political activists in the Western world have organized massive efforts to supply food and medical supplies to the starving people in the affected areas.

So, we Christians are expecting that events are about to finally explode in such a tremendous way as to constitute the final "birth pangs" that will produce Antichrist. Interestingly, the New World Order Plan envisions just such final "birth pangs". As we have repeatedly reported in our Current News articles, the final birth pangs are planned to be very, very intense.

Let us allow New Age author, Bill Cooper, the honor of succinctly stating this Plan. [New World Order Planners] have plans to bring about things like earthquakes, war, the Messiah, an extraterrestrial landing, and economic collapse. They might bring about all of these things just to make sure it does work...The Illuminati has all the bases covered..." [Bill Cooper, Behold A Pale Horse, p. 177].

Then, at the bottom of this page, Cooper goes back to this theme, ""Can you imagine what will happen if Los Angeles is hit with a 9.0 quake, New York City is destroyed by a terrorist-planted atomic bomb, World War III breaks out in the Middle East, the bank and the stock markets collapse, Extra terrestrials land on the White House lawn, food disappears from the markets, some people disappear, the Messiah presents himself to the world, and all in a very short period of time?"

Part of this plan to produce "war" all over this globe, at once, is Arab Terrorism [See NEWS1025, "Terrorism Advancing New World Order"]. This thwarted bomb plot may be just the tip of the proverbial ice berg. If it is, we should expect that there will be another bomb plot against New York City, one that will succeed. Further, we should expect that there will be a series of bomb attacks, beginning a series of terror that might culminate in a small nuclear device being set off in downtown Manhattan.

Remember, we are speaking here of a global series of simultaneous events:

1) Devastating war in the Middle East between Israel and her immediate Arab neighbors. Total destruction of the Palestinians, possibly through nuclear weaponry, the neutron bomb, or some other technology that will kill people without destroying buildings or polluting the land.

2) Arab oil boycott, in support of the Arab side in this war.

3) Arab terrorist attacks, certainly in America, but also possibly in Europe. New York City seems to be the favorite target.

4) War on the Korean Peninsula that threatens the entire world with nuclear war.

5) Presidential announcement that Aliens are real and that they have contacted Earth

6) An American city being hit with a massive earthquake. Cooper has identified this city as Los Angeles, but we shall just have to wait and see. Remember, the U.S. Military has reportedly the ability to cause earthquakes to occur at any place on the globe, at any time, and at any intensity desired. We reported this capability several years ago in our Radio Transcripts.

7) Nationwide panic in our cities, causing National Guard to be activated.

8) Presidential decree that certain Constitutional liberties must be suspended in order to properly deal with this crisis. Congress may also be "temporarily" disbanded.

9) Possible announcement that life has definitely existed on Mars in ages past. Christianity is then "proven" false, causing a great crisis of faith.

10) Suddenly, out of the smoke, dust, and destruction of the Middle East war, a 'superman' will appear, amidst signs and wonders. He will claim to be the first global "Messiah" that can lead the world to a new higher level of spiritual consciousness. He will tell the Christians he is Jesus Christ returned; he will tell the Jews that he is their Messiah for whom they have been waiting; he will tell the Muslims he is Mohammed returned; he will tell the Buddhists he is Buddha returned; and he will tell all the other religions of the world who are waiting for a "Messiah-type" figure, that he is that man. He will claim to be The Christ, but he will be the Biblical Antichrist.

11) Soon after Antichrist arises, tens of millions of people will suddenly disappear. In an effort to calm a most agitated, and frightened, people, Antichrist will announce that these people were suddenly removed from this dimension by the "Masters of the Logos", because they were totally incapable of accepting his claims. Now, the Earth can concentrate on achieving its "higher level of consciousness"!

12) Antichrist zeros in on convincing the Orthodox Jewish priests that he is their Messiah. Once they are convinced, they will officially declare that he is the Jewish Messiah, and they will invite him to "confirm" Israel's new National Covenant [in place since May 14, 1993]. At this signing, the 7-year Tribulation Period will begin!

Thus, this bomb plot against New York City is of great interest. If a terror campaign is about to get under way in that city, and if it is accompanied by these other events, the world may then stand at the threshold of the appearance of Antichrist!

The End of this Age may be very, very close. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
