NEWS BRIEF: "The Next, and Final, Arab-Israeli War", Intelligence Digest, 19 September, 1997. "Intelligence received in this office during the past few weeks points to a greatly reduced time frame [for war] in the Middle East. There is now evidence to support the view that the next, and final, Arab-Israeli war could come as early as the second half of 1998 .... since Israel signed a military pact with Turkey in early 1996, we have argued that Syria cannot possibly go to war with Israel until Turkey is neutralized. There are only two ways this can be achieved, and both are being tried."
"The first is to change the nature of Turkey's government, and Ankara does face an increasing threat from the fundamentalist trend, so much so, in fact, that our latest information is that the Turkish army has been making preparations for an Algerian-style Islamist uprising. The second way of neutralizing turkey is through Russia, and it is this prospect that is most worrying. There is now a distinct possibility ... that Turkey could find itself at war with Russia, over the supply of Russian S-300 missiles to Cyprus, by the end of 1998."
"Turkey has said delivery of the missiles would be a cause for war with Cyprus; Russia has said it intends to deliver by the end of 1998; and now, respected former Turkish prime minister, Tansu Ciller ... has warned that, unless there is a change in policy 'Turkey is going to war with Russia'."
When I read this article, I was surprised that Russia would be so willing to risk her developing relationship with the United States, and all NATO European members over a dispute with Turkey! But, the more I read, the more I understood the whys and hows of this almost unbelievable situation. Let us continue with this article, for in the next paragraph, we will discover that Russia's belligerent move into the Middle East possibly fulfills Bible prophecy. Remember, since Israel's rebirth as a nation in 1948, the world has been counting down to the End of the Age, a process Jesus Christ said would not take more than a "generation" to accomplish [Matthew 24:33-34]. Listen to this next paragraph in the Intelligence Digest.
"But why would Russia want to provoke a war with NATO member, Turkey? It is possible ... that Russia has made a strategic decision to make a last-gasp bid to regain its former superpower status to defeat Israel and reconquer Jerusalem."
Russia wants to reconquer Jerusalem? Wow, that reminds me of some pertinent Bible prophecy. Let us do some review:
1) Joel 3 -- An End Times Chapter -- "For behold, in those days and at that time when I shall reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat [the Middle East] and there will I deal with them for their treatment of My people and my heritage Israel ..." [3:1-2]
"Prepare war! Stir up the mighty the men! Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears ... Hasten and come, all you nations round about ... there You, O Lord, will bring down your mighty ones, Your warriors." [3:9-11]
"Let the nations bestir themselves and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there will I sit to judge all the nations round about. Put in the sickle for the vintage harvest is ripe; come, get down and tread the grapes, for the winepress is full; the vats overflow, for the wickedness of the peoples is great." [All above verses taken from Amplified Bible Commentary]
Certainly, we have seen this prophecy come true in the years since Israel has become a nation again, haven't we? Israel declared war in May, 1948, and immediately found herself locked in a death struggle with vastly superior Arab armies. No human being could have expected Israel, who was vastly outnumbered and outgunned, to survive; but, the mighty hand of God was with her, just as in the Old Testament. Israel routed her foes. Israel fought again in 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982. We have had five wars between the Arab and the Jew since Israel's national rebirth in 1948.
But, as all signs point to the appearance of Antichrist, we should expect even greater military conflicts, between much greater forces, than ever before. Listen to the Scripture that follows:
"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." [Joel 3:14, Amplified Bible Commentary] We should see really huge battles between Israel, her Arab foes, and all the other nations in the world, as we move into the final stages of this Age.
2) Zechariah 12 -- An End Times Prophecy -- "Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup or bowl of reeling to all the peoples round about and in the siege of Jerusalem will there also be a siege against and upon Judah."
When God is talking here about a siege around Jerusalem, He is speaking of a Messianic prophecy. Because, in the verses which follow this one, God reveals that He Himself shall deliver Israel during this siege. In verse 9, God says, "And it shall be in that day that I will make it My aim to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem." Notice that God vows to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Thus, if Russia has concluded that she can restore her status as a superpower by conquering Jerusalem, as the Intelligence Digest stated, above, she has just signed her own death warrant! To see how God deals with this Russian invasion of Israel, read Ezekiel 38-39 carefully.
Before we go back to the Intelligence Digest article on a possible Russian war with Turkey, let us examine one more pertinent Bible prophecy. In this Chapter 12 of Zechariah, God says, in verse 3, "And in that day, I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all peoples; all who lift it or burden themselves with it shall be sorely wounded. And all the nations of the earth shall come and gather together against it."
Even though all the nations of the earth will come against Jerusalem in the End Times to destroy her, and conquer her, the Bible says no where that these armies will come all at one time. Rather, other Scripture states that the nations of the earth will come before God's Judgment bar in the Middle East one at a time. Listen: "... For as you [Edom], have drunk upon the mountain of My holiness, so shall all the nations drink continually, in turn, of My wrath; yes, they shall drink, talk foolishly, and swallow down the full measure of punishment, and they shall be destroyed as though they had not been." [Obadiah 16, Amplified Bible Commentary]. In NEWS1035, "Scene Seems Set In Middle East For BOTH Prophesied Wars! Antichrist Comes", we state that at least two (2) major wars seemed to be prophesied before Antichrist can begin his 7-year Tribulation Reign. If you have not read this article, please stop now and read it as background for this article. Now, let us go back to our article from the Intelligence Digest.
"What is the evidence for this [Russia coming against Israel and reconquering Jerusalem]? We know already that Russia is actively arming both Syria and Iran. We know that it is intentionally heading for a confrontation with Turkey over the seemingly small issue (for Russia) of supplying air-defence missiles to Cyprus. And there is something else."
"The final reason why we have previously assumed that the final Middle-East showdown is still some years away is because of America's support for Israel and the still-fresh lessons of Saddam Hussein's ill-fated adventure into Kuwait. We have long argued that the best way to neutralize America would be by using nuclear-armed terrorists to blackmail the US into inaction, but we have also assumed that it is unlikely that any of the Iranian-controlled terrorist groups yet has that capacity. Until now, that is."
In NEWS1025, "Terrorism Advancing New World Order", we lay out the probability of devastating Arab terrorist attacks against US, and maybe European, cities in support of the next war with Israel. We also show that the Arabs will likely institute another Oil Embargo against the United States and all other Western Nations, in support of this next war. But, to our knowledge, this is a rare instance in which an article has run which has been bold enough to suggest it. Remember Tom Clancy's book, "The Sum Of All Fears"? The key plot in this book was the Arab atomic bombing of Denver in retaliation for America's support for Israel. Thus, we Americans have been properly conditioned to believe in this scenario. When it happens, absolute panic will ensue, and great pressure will descend upon President Clinton to give in to the terrorists by not rushing to Israel's aid, even though Israel may be absolutely destroyed. It is during this panic that A Christian Financial Planner, believes our economy might sustain the mighty blow that would send our Stock Market into its final free fall. "Former Russian Security Chief, General Alexander Lebed has recently revealed that not all of the 100 suitcase-sized nuclear bombs, with which Soviet special forces were armed, have been accounted for. Of course, Lebed might be scare mongering for homegrown political reasons; but then again, he might just have been acting under orders when he let this snippet drop into the public domain."
"Whether or not any of these suitcase nuclear bombs have actually gone missing is now almost irrelevant. After Lebed's statement, what American president is going to call the bluff of a terrorist group that says it has one ( or more ) of these bombs (described by Lebed as 'ideal for nuclear terror'), and which it is going to explode in an American city (or cities) in the event that the United States moves to protect Israel against an Arab/Iranian assault?"
Let us look at one verse in the famous prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39, that so graphically portrays a Russian-led invasion of Israel in the 'Latter Days', after Israel comes back to her land. As describing the situation where God foretells that He will bring Russia into judgment by causing her leaders to get the idea of staging an attack on Israel, God lists the nations that will be joining in the attack. These are the nations joining Russia in this infamous attack:
1) Attacking from the North of Israel
* Persia -- Modern Iran
* Gomer -- Eastern Europe
* House of Togarmah -- Modern Turkey
2) Attacking from the South of Israel
* Cush -- Modern Ethiopia
* Libya -- still Libya today
Did you understand the above revelation, that Modern Turkey is prophesied to march with Russia during the End of the Age invasion of Israel? Since Russia today is moving into the Middle East, in the time period when all other End of the Age prophecies are occurring, we should expect to see that Turkey would soon be prepared to join Russia against Israel.
But, Turkey has always been strongly pro-Western and pro-Israeli since Israel became a nation again in 1948. In fact, newspapers in the Middle East have been full of articles lately of the strong alliance developing between Israel and Turkey. This alliance has reached the point where Israeli and Turkish military envoys have exchanged the necessary detailed information necessary for Israel to sell Turkey the money she needs to modernize her armed forces! Israel is depending mightily upon Turkey as a counter weight to Iran and Syria. Certainly, when you look at a map of the Middle East, you will see how crucially located Turkey is, sitting on the northern border with Syria and sitting on the shores of the Black Sea to the north and the Mediterranean to the West. To Turkey's immediate north, Russia lies, just across the Caucasus Mountains. Turkey sits astride the closest, most direct approach to Syria, and Israel. Yet, today, Turkey is staunchly pro-West and pro-Israel.
But, if Russia were to threaten Turkey with an all-out military invasion, I believe you would see Turkey move rapidly into the Russian camp! Unless the United States moves quickly and vigorously to defend Turkey against a threatened attack from Russia, Turkey would certainly capitulate to Russia, rather than risk overwhelming defeat. I believe we are witnessing the fulfillment of this Biblical prophecy that Turkey will join with Russia in her attack on Israel in these Latter Days!
But, now let us return to our discussion concerning the probable threat of city bombing by Arab terrorists, using nuclear weapons easily smuggled in to any city in the United States. The Intelligence Digest continues: "And what of Israel while all this is going on around it? The more information that leaks out about Syrian and Iranian unconventional capabilities, the closer Israel comes to launching its own first strike. With Turkey possibly heading for war with Russia; with Iran and Syria arming themselves with deadly unconventional weapons, and the means to deliver them; and with the Palestinians moving towards an armed intifada in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the temptation to strike first will become intense, as has been openly hinted at by Prime Minister Netanyahu."
"At Netanyahu's 11 September [1997] meeting with US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, he pointed out that Iran would have acquired enough ballistic-missile technology 'within a year to 18 months' so as to not require outside assistance. And because of this, both in the meeting in private and outside the meeting in public, Netanyahu warned: 'There must be an appropriate response in the time that remains.' In other words, both Israel and Iran, and Turkey and Russia, are on an 18-month countdown to war. 1998 is beginning to look like a year to fear."
Before we show you the prophecy concerning the response by Israel's allies during this Russian led invasion, let us remind you that the occult leadership of the New World Order Plan published a pertinent article entitled, "The 25-Year Campaign For The Earth". We cover this intriguing article in NEWS1028, "1997 -- The Year The New World Order Plan Changes To Produce The 'Thinning of Population', and Antichrist". The 5-year segment, 1997-2002, is designed to begin "Thinning The World's Population Centers and Begin Relocation Of People". This term, "thinning" means that people begin to die; the term, "Relocation of People" means that the people that will survive this "thinning process" will begin to be transferred into "Biodiversity Spheres", an activity going on under our noses in the US, and reported in NEWS1101. So, it is beginning to look as if 1998 is the year when the "Thinning of Population" will begin in earnest. It certainly means annihilating war in the Middle East, with Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and the Palestinian people being so wiped out as to cause collapse of these nations! But, it could mean entire cities annihilated in a terrorist nuclear bomb attack!
Now, let us examine the one Bible prophecy concerning Israel's "allies" that is contained within the Ezekiel 38 prophecy of the Russian invasion of Israel. In Ezekiel 38:13, we see the response to this impending invasion from Israel's allies.
"Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?"
In this prophecy, Israel's allies, identified only as "Sheba, Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish", do not vigorously move to defend Israel; rather, they meekly send a mild note of diplomatic protest to Russia, merely asking what Russia's intentions might be!! Incredible!
Who are these nations listed above? Bible scholars are simply not certain of the identity of Sheba and Dedan, but they believe that the "merchants of Tarshish" might be Europe, or Spain, or even Great Britain. During Biblical times, great merchant ships plied the waters from the Middle East, to ports in Spain and Western Europe, and to the Isle of Britain, especially in the time of the Roman Empire. If Tarshish is a reference to Great Britain, then is it not logical to believe that the "young lions" of Tarshish might be those nations who were offspring of Tarshish? Remember that the national symbol of Great Britain is a Lion! The "offspring" of Great Britain include Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States of America!
In the six wars which Israel has been forced to wage since her national rebirth in 1948, the United States has often come to her aid, much to the extreme anger of the Arab nations. In 1973, Israel was so close to military defeat that the United States literally stripped all usable ammunition and extra missiles from the European Theater to resupply the Israeli army. Without that extra ammunition, Israel would most certainly have gone down to defeat. When the United States was coming to the aid of Israel, Russia threatened President Nixon with nuclear attack, and even began to bring her military forces to alert status! President Nixon countered by bringing our nuclear forces to full alert, thus negating the Russian threat. Israel received the necessary resupply she needed to win the war and survive.
In the past two decades, beginning with President Reagan, America has been committed to keeping Israel "significantly" ahead of her Arab enemies in terms of the quality and the high technology of her armed forces. President Clinton has repeated this commitment. Certainly, we would expect that this massive and consistent, support of Israel will continue, right?
Once Russia "persuades" Turkey to join forces with her, then Syria is no longer threatened. At this point, the First Middle East Great War will begin, between Israel on one side and Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinians on the other side. Russia hopes mightily that this war will be successful, resulting in the annihilation of Israel, and the resurrection of Russia as a superpower. If the United States can be humiliated into inaction by the threat of Arab nuclear terrorist attack on her cities, then Russia will truly see her superpower status resurrected. In this Next Great War, Turkey remains "neutral". Israel's defeat will seem inevitable.
However, we know, from Biblical prophecy that God has guaranteed that Israel will never again be defeated once she is nationally reborn [See CE1054, Radio Transcripts, "Modern Day Miracle of Israel's Rebirth" for full details]. If Israel is defeated in this Next Great War, you can throw away your Bibles and start believing in other gods and religions!! But, we know, from Daniel 12:1, that God will command Israel's National Archangel, Michael, to "stand up" to defeat Israel's enemies. We also know, from Obadiah 15-19, that the House of Esau [the Palestinians] will be annihilated in a Last Days' War. Other prophecies that demand fulfillment are the ones calling for the destruction of Damascus, Syria's capital, of Jordan, and of Egypt. Once this Next Great War begins, the Plan calls for the Arab oil-producing states to implement a very tight Oil Embargo, much tighter than in 1973. Very soon thereafter, Arab terrorists armed with small nuclear bombs will threaten to blow up various American cities if we come to the aid of Israel. At this point, I believe, America will turn chicken and not intervene. As the war rages, Israel will decisively defeat her Arab enemies, again against all odds, because of God's intervention. During the final stage of this war, Antichrist could very well come striding, if the occult Plan is on course. [See NEWS1056 and NEWS1057, "Albert Pike's Third World War Planned To Produce Antichrist" for full details].
Then, when Israel defeats her massive, combined enemies, because of God's protection, then Russia will decide that she can no longer depend upon any combination of Arab armies to destroy Israel. Russia will conclude that she must directly invade Israel to destroy her. When she begins to march her armies, and the armies of her allies, Russia will likely repeat this Arab terrorist threat against American cities; again, the United States will decline to intervene.
I believe it highly likely that the fulfillment of this Bible prophecy is beginning to take shape, in front of our eyes and in our daily news. There can be no doubt now: the nations of the world ARE being drawn to the Middle East and to Jerusalem, just as God foretold. And, these developments are occurring at the same time as all the other prophecies are taking shape, all over the globe, all pointing to the soon appearance of Antichrist!!
The End of the Age is very near. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
