Pertinent Background Information

For the past three years, President Bush has been threatening Iranian leadership with "dire consequences" if they did not completely and immediately abandon their nuclear power program, a program which the President has repeatedly stated is designed to produce nuclear warheads. Many Western leaders have joined with Bush in urging Iran to comply with these demands.

Iran, for her part, has insisted that her program is designed only for peaceful electrical uses.

Cutting Edge has been predicting for these past three years that Iran will not be attacked sufficiently hard to bring down the present hardline Islamic government, for Iran (Persia) is depicted as marching with Russia in the Latter Day invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38-39). Therefore, it seems that Iran is protected by prophecy from destruction now. For three years, that has been our teaching, a position so far backed up by actual events.

Even the Pentagon recently got into the act when a Fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations suddenly took a solid stand against any military attack against Iran. Seymour Hersh, one of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) favorite journalists, shocked a lot of people when he announced that the Pentagon is solidly opposed to any military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities because they do not know what targets to hit!

NEWS BRIEF: "LAST STAND": The military’s problem with the President’s Iran policy", by SEYMOUR M. HERSH, The New Yorker, Issue of 2006-07-10

""... the U.S. Strategic Command, supported by the Air Force, has been drawing up plans, at the President’s direction, for a major bombing campaign in Iran. Inside the Pentagon, senior commanders have increasingly challenged the President’s plans, according to active-duty and retired officers and officials. The generals and admirals have told the Administration that the bombing campaign will probably not succeed in destroying Iran’s nuclear program. They have also warned that an attack could lead to serious economic, political, and military consequences for the United States."

We have listed the many consequences of an attack on Iran --

1) That nation is so much more powerful than Iraq ever was;

2) Iran can shut down the Straits of Hormuz, through which about 60% of all crude oil passes;

3) Iran could immediately attack the weak Coalition garrison at Basra with overwhelming forces;

4) Iran truly does have terrorists in place throughout America, Great Britain and the European Union which could immediately wreak such havoc that Western Civilization would truly fall.

While these are parts of the plan of the coming World War III which will produce the Masonic Christ, they will not be triggered before all elements of this coming global war are ready to jump into action. Therefore, until Israel has withdrawn from the West Bank and is ready to annihilate all Palestinians in fulfillment of Obadiah 15-18, neither America nor Israel will not trigger a war with Iran by an ill-advised military strike.

Now, let us get back to Mr. Hersh for more additional insight as to why the Pentagon considers a strike on Iran to be foolhardy and nearly worthless.

"A crucial issue in the military’s dissent, the officers said, is the fact that American and European intelligence agencies have not found specific evidence of clandestine activities or hidden facilities; the war planners are not sure what to hit. 'The target array in Iran is huge, but it’s amorphous', a high-ranking general told me. 'The question we face is, When does innocent infrastructure evolve into something nefarious?' The high-ranking general added that the military’s experience in Iraq, where intelligence on weapons of mass destruction was deeply flawed, has affected its approach to Iran. 'We built this big monster with Iraq, and there was nothing there. This is son of Iraq', he said."

Truly, the Bush Administration is simply regurgitating the same phony intelligence scare tactics against Iran which she used to justify an attack on Iraq. However, this time, Russia and China are determined not to allow Bush to attack Iran. This Seymour Hersh article seems to also be a warning to President Bush not to attack Iran, only this time the force behind the warning is the CFR.

Please also take note that the Pentagon is admitting that American Intelligence has not provided any specific hard target locations, so the Pentagon does not know where to strike. In fact, Pentagon officials are not even sure if the Iranian nuclear program has turned "nefarious" (evil, terrible).

In fact, the position the Pentagon is taking seems very close to the Iranian position that they have every right to pursue a civilian nuclear program, and that means they have the right to enrich uranium. that is the meaning of the general's rhetorical question, "When does innocent infrastructure evolve into something nefarious?"

But, the bottom line is, why should Iran risk such international condemnation and possible military strike to actually produce her own nuclear capability, since she has possessed nuclear weapons since early, 2002 (NEWS1660)?

Before we leave this subject, note that the Pentagon is admitting that, in Iraq, "there was nothing there".

This next segment demonstrates just how phony the Administration's case against Iran is.

"In President Bush’s June speech, he accused Iran of pursuing a secret weapons program along with its civilian nuclear-research program (which it is allowed, with limits, under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty). The senior officers in the Pentagon do not dispute the President’s contention that Iran intends to eventually build a bomb, but they are frustrated by the intelligence gaps. A former senior intelligence official told me that people in the Pentagon were asking, 'What’s the evidence? We’ve got a million tentacles out there, overt and covert, and these guys'—the Iranians—'have been working on this for eighteen years, and we have nothing?' " (Ibid.)

The key words here are:

* "What’s the evidence?" Or, as Ronald Reagan said in one of his Presidential debates, "Where's the Beef?" The Bush Administration is shouting empty hot air, on the basis of no evidence! Remember that fact the next time you pay nearly $3 a gallon for Unleaded Gas.

* "We’ve got a million tentacles out there, overt and covert" -- And yet --

* "we have nothing"

We encourage you to read this full Seymour Hersh article, for it contains other critically important issues, all of which argue against the probability that President Bush will ever order an attack. For all his faults, Bush is not a "loose cannon", but is merely acting his role in the global Illuminati Plan. And, remember, that the Illuminati Plan is following Biblical prophecy, because God's Omnipotent Power is forcing them to do so. In this vein, Cutting Edge has always believed that Iran is protected by the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 (Read full details in NEWS2014)

Current July 12 Deadline Has Come And Gone -- Little To No Western Response

In June, Western powers set a July 12 deadline for Iran to answer the American - European Union proposal.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iran Has Until July 12 to Stop Enrichment", My Way News, July 3, 2006

"VIENNA, Austria (AP) - Western powers will reactivate efforts to punish Iran through possible U.N. Security Council sanctions unless it suspends uranium enrichment and agrees to talks on its nuclear program by July 12, diplomats said Monday. The envoys - some of them senior U.N. diplomats, and all familiar with details of the six-nation drive to persuade Iran to compromise on its nuclear activities - spoke just two days before a key Iran-European Union meeting in Brussels meant to make clear to the Iranians that their time is running out. On Wednesday, senior EU envoy Javier Solana will urge top Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani to commit his country immediately to suspending enrichment and starting negotiations ... They also said Russia and China were closer than ever to supporting the West on U.N. Security Council action - including sanctions - if Tehran refuses the package of incentives meant to wean it off enrichment."

"We are looking forward to hear from Iran ... the official response," said Cristina Gallach, Solana's spokeswoman."

Thus, the gauntlet has been thrown down. Since Iran has not responded in the positive as Western powers have demanded, has the matter gone before the United Nations Security Council as threatened? The answer is clearly, "No". Instead, Western powers have responded with timidity rather than forcefulness.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iran Does Not Respond to Six-Nation Incentives--Bush, Putin Concerned", MosNews, 7.17.06

"President Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin, who differ on whether to impose UN sanctions on Iran, expressed concern on Monday that Tehran had not responded to an incentives offer ... The two leaders made a show of unity in a joint statement declaring their intention to try to limit the proliferation of nuclear weapons, including the cases of Iran and North Korea. 'We are especially concerned by the failure of the Iranian government to engage seriously on the proposals' made by the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany, Bush and Putin said .... Iran has refused to respond to an offer made in early June of economic incentives, prompting Washington to refer the case to the UN Security Council."

"While Britain, France, the United States and Germany support economic sanctions if Iran fails to cooperate, such measures are not currently backed by Security Council veto-wielding Russia and China."

Iran has certainly refused to cooperatively respond. But, no automatic Western response sending the issue to the Security Council was forthcoming after the date of July 12 had passed. Rather, mere bluff and empty words continued to flow out of the mouths of Western leaders. Remember, Russia and China wield a veto power in the Security Council, which means that any debate is likely to go nowhere.

Further, Russia and China have successfully painted President Bush into a Security Council corner. Listen:

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. Accepts Draft on Iran That Omits Use of Force", New York Times, May 30, 2006

"WASHINGTON, May 30 — The Bush administration, seeking to enlist Russian support for a United Nations Security Council resolution on Iran, has agreed to language ruling out the immediate threat of military force, American and European officials said Tuesday. The American agreement has improved the chances that the Russians will go along with the resolution ... Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's office announced that Ms. Rice would fly to Vienna on Wednesday for more talks on Iran with top Russian, Chinese and European envoys. "

This next segment shows how the Russians guided this issue in a way in which the Bush Administration originally did not want to go -- in order to prevent a reenactment of the Iraqi invasion.

"For months the United States has demanded that pressure on Iran must increase through passage of a Security Council resolution under Chapter VII of the United Nations charter. This chapter invokes the Council's power to demand compliance of member countries on certain matters and threaten punishment if they refuse. Russia, fearing a replay of the run-up to the Iraq war in 2002 and 2003, has opposed any invocation of Chapter VII, on the ground that the United States might seize upon its approval as a justification for acting unilaterally to impose economic penalties or use military force against Iran. To placate the Russians, the United States has agreed to invoke only Article 41 of Chapter VII, and not the whole chapter. Article 41 makes no reference to the possible use of force, and therefore offers the Russians a means to support it."

Now, you can see why the Russians and Chinese could support the Vienna proposal, as they had already guided the negotiations in a way designed to protect Iran.

Just for good measure, Russian President Putin reminded America and the European Union that there was no immediate need to rush this matter into the U.N. Security Council any time soon.

NEWS BRIEF: " 'Premature' to speak of Iran sanctions: Putin", Iran Mania, Tuesday, July 18, 2006

"LONDON, July 18 (IranMania) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Iran to respond to a plan for resolving the impasse over its nuclear program, but said it was too early to speak of sanctions on Tehran ... 'It is premature to talk about sanctions with respect to Iran," Putin said at a news conference after the conclusion of the Group of Eight (G8) summit ... Putin spoke after the G8 countries, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the United States, issued a statement calling on Iran to accept the proposal from the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany for resolving concern over its nuclear program. That proposal calls on Iran to drop plans to enrich uranium itself in exchange for a package of incentives, including assured access to nuclear power."

Therefore, the world is likely to spin along as it has for the past three years regarding Iran. President Bush and his Cabinet members will continue to complain, moan and groan, but take no significant military action. Just as we have seen for the past three years.

Listen as Jesus has the last (prophetic) Word:

"And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars..." (Matthew 24:6)

Iraq and Afghanistan are truly "wars" but Iran is just a "rumor of war".

As we progress toward the final climactic World War III which will produce Antichrist, we must be able to distinguish the differences.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones.
