In order to fill pews and build ever-larger churches, evangelical churches have succumbed to the modern humanistic approach as to how to preach and teach in such a way as to please people and get them to fill your church. This modern marketing approach is selling out the true church simply because it disobeys Scripture and replaces the role of the Holy Spirit with human philosophy and leaders that appeal to human sensibilities rather than to the Bible. The Christian church has grown cold, with Easy Believism, and a lack of proper focus. Pastor Gilley calls for these churches to return to Scriptural roots.
