Did you know that God created His 10 Commandments simply to show sinful mankind their desperate need for a Savior? Attention all citizens! God is Holy and we are not. The bad news is that the penalty for our unholy behavior is not merely physical death, but eternal death in Hell. The good news is that if we acknowledge our sin, and accept Jesus' forgiveness, we can be spared the horrors of an eternal Hell. People of God, if we are ever going to get our society back on track, we've got to remember that the purpose of the 10 Commandments was to convince us we must have a Holy Savior Who will serve as our Substitute for sin. Since no external law can change man's internal heart, we need to be pointed to Jesus through the 10 Commandments. The reason our country is headed to Hell is because too many of our citizens are telling God that is where they would like Him to go. The very fact that we have thrown out this signpost to Jesus tells you that our beloved nation is headed for the Abyss.
