NEWS BRIEF: "When Photographs Lie", Newsweek Magazine, July 30, 1990, p. 44-45.

Recent advances in technology have made it possible, even easy, for pictures to be altered in such a way that no one, even a professional film maker, could ever detect the alteration. "Simple alterations...can be accomplished with a series of key strokes on the widely available Scitex Response [Computer] system. The process involves giving 'pixels' -- electronic squares -- a binary code that makes them easy to adjust. Layout design, cropping, sizing, and other changes are made quicker, cheaper, and infinitely more flexible. More complicated matching of resolution and color, which once required a technically trained artist, now merely entails more elaborate digitized systems."

In other words, pictures are scanned so that the image is changed to computer pixels, the building blocks of the computer screen. These pixels are then rearranged to create a new picture. Then, the computer creates the new, false image electronically. The result is a perfect picture with-out any tell-tale lines or differences in color which would alert a professional that alterations had been made. To illustrate this point, Newsweek hired an advertising agency to create a dinner party photograph with the following people present:

* President Ronald Reagan

* Marla Maples, the model involved with Donald Trump

* Mohammar Khaddafi, Libya's dictator

* Queen of England

* Elvis Presley

Obviously, since Elvis Presley has been dead for almost 20 years, this particular group of people could never have actually gotten together for a dinner party. But you would never have realized it just from this picture. Every detail was perfect; there were no tell-tale lines where cutting and splicing had occurred; there were no variations in coloration, either of the people or of any part of the background. The computer rearrangement of the electronic pixels had been perfect in producing a false picture so realistic it could convince a court-room jury.

Over 700 private companies now possess advanced similar electronic-imaging systems. We can no longer accept photo-graphs at face value. Advertisements are regularly being altered, as are news stories and documentaries.

* In 1982, National Geographic utilized this technique to move two Egyptian pyramids closer together so they could fit properly on the front cover.

* Time magazine utilized this technique in 1987 when it published a story about the espionage in Moscow involving the Marine guards. Time shot a studio photo of a Marine and then utilized this computer technology to show him at the American Embassy in Moscow.

* In 1989, Newsweek recreated a photo making it appear that film stars Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman were together when, in fact, one was in Hawaii and one was in New York City.

* ABC News recreated a photo showing accused spy Felix Bloch passing a briefcase to a Communist agent, knowing the picture to be a fraud.

The implications are staggering. Any person or private organization who wishes to discredit someone can now "create" their own false reality with a fraudulent photo-graph depicting the victim doing anything they want him to do. And unsuspecting persons will now believe it because they still believe pictures. And if private companies now possess this technology, you can be assured that Governments across the world possess even more sophisticated technology. We have truly entered into very dangerous waters here. Jesus' warnings in Matthew 24 about being deceived now ring even more true than before. When the Anti-Christ arises, pictures can be created beforehand in a studio that make him appear to be doing things that he really could never actually do. He could be shown with God-like attributes in pictures so real that most people would be deceived. Remember that our story above involved only still photos. I believe it possible that truly leading edge technology could exist and be in the possession of Governments that could accomplish the same feat in moving pictures. If this is true we could literally be faced with such compelling fraud that no one would ever suspect it.

I think it highly likely that, as we get closer to the final entrance into the New World Order, the Government and possibly key private companies may be planning to bring down true Christian leaders by totally fabricating the past and current lives, complete with pictures that never existed.  The American people have been conditioned to believe that they can trust a picture to be true, unless a expert could spot evidences of a "Cut and Paste Job".  However, when pictures are scanned into a computer, and reduced to the pixel level, people and objects that were actually in the picture can be edited out of the picture, and people and objects not originally in the picture can be added in from another scanned photograph!

Since these changes are being made at the very basic level, the pixel level, no one can ever see that the pictures have been edited.  When the edit is done, it is at the pixel level, so when the picture is reprinted, no expert can tell the picture has been changed.  Since our court system has always placed high reliance on picture evidence, it is going to have to change that perception in light of this new technology.

COMPUTER CHANGES THAT CAN DEVASTATE A PERSON'S LIFE

NEWS BRIEF:  Video Movie, The Net, starring Sandra Bullock, Jeremy Northam, Dennis Miller, Diane Becker.

The movie opens with Mr. Bergstrom, Secretary of Defense, committing suicide because he had just been informed he had AIDS, undoubtedly from illicit affairs with women other than his wife.  We learn later that this medical report was totally false, having been placed in his record via computer.

Sandra Bullock stars as Angela Bennettt, a computer system analyst who specializes in beta testing and troubleshooting gaming software for any defects and viruses.  She is recognized by some companies as the best in the business, so some of the largest national companies retain her services.  Angela Bennettt has developed a nerdy type life as a very busy computer recluse, working out of her home.

Suddenly, Angela's life is turned upside down, backwards, and inside out.  One of the top executives of a company called Cathedral Computer Systems suddenly stumbles upon information he never was intended to see.  Immediately, he recognizes this fact, and sends a floppy disk containing the software program to Angela.  Once she gets the disk, she calls this executive and allows him to guide her through the software, showing her how he accessed the information not meant for his eyes.  After a short conversation, he asks if he can fly out to meet her for a few hours before she leaves for her vacation.  He is going to fly out on his personal Cessna.  As he is approaching the Los Angeles private airport, he does not realize his controls are giving him false readings, and suddenly he flies directly into huge towers, killing him instantly.

Chalk the re-programming of the navigational equipment of the airplane of this poor executive up as one of the many crimes Cathedral was going to commit during this movie, using the computer.

Angela is befriended during her vacation somewhere in the Mexican peninsula by a Cathedral hit man.  As he is about to attempt to kill her, he deliberately lets her know that he has been intercepting her "private chat room" conversations with unidentified hackers.  She also realized he knew all of her likes, dislikes, and real past history.

When he fails to kill her, allowing her to escape, Cathedral shifts its attack to the computer.  When Angela wakes up in a Mexican hospital several days later, and finds her way back to her hotel, she finds the following changes have been made by the computer:

1.  The computer at the hotel showed that Angela Bennettt had checked out of the hotel several days earlier.

2.  Her phone calling cards suddenly do not work, giving Angela the message that the numbers she is dialing are invalid.

3.  Since her passport had been stolen, Angela applies to the U.S. Embassy for a new one.  When they brought her the passport, they said they could not find an Angela Bennettt in their system, but the name Ruth Marx kept popping up when they typed in Angela Bennettt.  To get back to the U.S., Angela had to sign as Ruth Marx.

4.  Upon getting back to the LAX, Angela discovers her car is missing.  Her driver's license is also missing from computer files.  She also discovers that her credit cards are suddenly no good, and her bank and savings accounts have been cancelled, with all her money gone.

5.  Upon getting a taxi back to her house, Angela discovers her house is up for sale.  Another woman, possessing all the proper identification as Angela Bennettt, has delivered house mortgage papers to the  real estate company handling the sale.  Oh, yes, all of Angela's furniture and computer equipment have been moved out, leaving the house empty.

6.  The police are called as Angela tries to convince the real estate agent that the woman posing as her was a fake.  The only information available on the scene of the house shows Angela as a "Ruth Marx". As the one of the police officers goes out to his car to run a check on "Ruth Marx", the hit man from Cathedral is sitting in his car, listening to the conversation inside the house.  As the police officer is walking to his car, the hit man uses his laptop computer to get into the L.A. Police Department computer system, and he adds many crimes to the history of this "Ruth Marx", whose picture is that of Angela Bennett.  In the few minutes it took the police officer to get to his car from the house, the new Ruth Marx [a.k.a. Angela Bennettt], had the following history added to her police file:

a.  She had been arrested as a prostitute, on several occasions.

b.  She had been arrested numerous times for possession of cocaine, and the distribution of it.

c.  She had been arrested several times for Petty Larceny

d.  She has a current L.A. warrant out for her arrest

 When the police officer discovers that an arrest warrant is issued for "Ruth Marx", he immediately gets out of his car to go arrest "Ruth".  A chase ensues that drives Angela into the dark, armed only with the cell phone she has lifted [borrowed?] from the real estate agent.  As Angela is calling her former psychiatrist for help, the Cathedral hit man is trying to get a triangulation on her signal to trace her down.  Such technology can trace a person anywhere on earth to within 100 feet.

This psychiatrist is named Dr. Champion, and he does come to Angela's aid.  However, Cathedral soon discovers he is helping her so they plan an attack on him.  Since he regularly takes medicine, Cathedral gets into the computer system of his neighborhood pharmacy to change the medicine he is supposed to take.  When he begins to die from this wrong medicine, he nearly crashes his car, and is taken to the hospital.  During the night, an unidentified nurse walks to Dr. Champion's  bedside and gives him a new IV, containing very deadly poison.

When Angela walks back into the hospital in the wee hours of the morning, she discovers her psychiatrist friend is dead.  But, to her horror, she discovers that the wrong information had been placed into the computer system of the hospital, causing the doctors to treat him during his poisoning spell as though he were a diabetic.  The combination of the poison and the wrongful treatment kills Dr. Champion quite dead. 

As she flees in Dr. Champion's luxury car, Angela looks in her rearview mirror to discover a police car behind her.  They are checking the car out, because a false report had been issued saying the car was stolen.  After a chase, Angela is captured and taken to a jail cell.  During her interview with her court-appointed attorney, Angela said something very special.  She said that American society is so completely dependent upon a computer that if some really bad people got control of the system, they could ruin whomever they want to ruin, and no one would be able to stop them.

Later in the movie, "Angela Bennettt" is able to stop Cathedral by sending proof that Cathedral was deliberately causing crashes of computer systems around the world so they could sell their Gatekeeper Security Systems.  She sent this proof from a floppy disk to the offices of the FBI.  The story ends as the "Good Guys in White Hats" in the FBI arrest the CEO of Cathedral. 

Angela Bennettt gets her life back.  All the "proof" generated by the computer showing all her crimes and all her false history are wiped out, and Angela gets to live happily ever after.

Thank God for the Good Guys in White Hats in the FBI and other places in the Federal Government.  Without the intervention of these Good Guys, the movie would have ended with Angela Bennettt forever on the run as the mythical Ruth Marx.

Contemporary American society is technologically at the crossroads Angela Bennettt traveled, but without any White Hat Good Guys.  The people running our Federal Government are the worst possible Black Hat Bad Guys.  They want to reduce the population of the world by two-thirds; they want to abolish our Constitutional Government, replacing it with a total dictatorship.  They hate Christians and Jews, and Blacks, and all Muslims.  They control the governments of the world, along with the armies, air forces, navies, and nuclear/biological/chemical/weather weapons of the world.  They control the most cutting-edge technologies and research in the world.  And, they are the proverbial Bad Guys.

In America, the Bad Guys are zeroing in on Christians generally and Christian leaders specifically.  They do not mind the Liberal "Christians" who are participating with the World Council of Churches, or with the Pope or with the Mother Earth religions.  Their ire is reserved for the Fundamental Christian leader. 

At this point in world history, just before Antichrist arises, what better way to get rid of the troublesome Fundamental Christian leaders than to launch an attack on them using the computer.  The Federal Government acts as the "Gatekeeper", supposedly guarding the integrity of these Christian leaders than to turn their lives as upside down and backwards as the fictional Angela Bennettt.  Let us list some of the avenues of possible attack using this totally bogus information.

1.  The targeted Christian leader could suddenly discover that all his bills are badly delinquent.  He could discover that the mortgage company considers him so far behind it has initiated Collection as Bad Debts.

2.  The targeted Christian leader could suddenly be defending himself against "proof" in his long past showing that he was a convicted pedophile, for example.  Or, he might suddenly be arrested for sexual assault, or even worse, incest.

This poor hapless Christian leader would then be headed for jail on totally trumped up charges.  Yet, because such frauds are being created by computers and by computer-aided pictures, so the false "evidence" seems very persuasive to a public that does not pay attention to even the large picture, not to mention the small details.

We Christians need to be "wise as serpents but harmless as doves", just as Jesus said we should be, especially now, in the End of the Age. If you hear of Christian leaders suddenly charged with seemingly horrific crimes, we need to maintain perspective and keep that Christian leader in your daily prayers.  That poor Christian leader will probably be guilty of nothing other than obedience to Scripture and/or opposition to the coming New World Order.

But, when such events do happen, remember they are sure signs that the End of the Age is truly upon us.

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
