I. As the Eighth anniversary of the Iraq War slips by us, we must consider the draconian results of that war. The Iraq invasion stands as the ultimate symbol of our teaching that one must look in the opposite direction of the public rhetoric in order to discern the truth (Read full details of NEWS1558)! NEWS BRIEF: "A look back at 8 years of war in Iraq: Conditions worse than ever - Depleted Uranium still killing", by Medea Benjamin and Charles Davis, Al-jazeera News, 21 March 2011 "Eight years after the US entered Iraq to topple Saddam and liberate the people, conditions are worse than ever ... It was sold to the American public as a war to defend our nation and free the Iraqi people. US deputy secretary of defence Paul Wolfowitz said our soldiers would be greeted as liberators and that Iraqi oil money would pay for the reconstruction. Vice president Dick Cheney said the military effort would take 'weeks rather than months'. And assistant defence secretary Ken Adelman predicted that 'liberating Iraq would be a cakewalk'. As the invasion was getting underway, President Bush dubbed it "Operation Enduring Freedom", a title which was exactly the opposite of what has actually occurred. The nation of Iraq is now dying and will soon become uninhabitable, because of the Depleted Uranium poisoning, as the above DVD fully testifies. Let us now view the individual parts of this Opinion column, saving most of our comment on the Depleted Uranium poisoning until the end. Here are the reasons this author presents to demonstrate that Iraq is far worse off today than before Skull & Bones President Bush ordered the invasion. 1) "4,400 US soldiers lost" -- This official total easily surpasses the 3,000 lives lost during the attacks of 9/11. However, as we demonstrated repeatedly during the progress of this war, American casualties are far higher than this official death toll would indicate. How is this possible? The major technique for hiding true casualty figures was for medics to not count any soldier who died outside Iraq; for example, if a soldier was whisked away from the battlefield by airplane, but died enroute to the American military hospital in Germany, that soldier's death was not counted in the official war total! 2) "Bankrupting the nation" -- In 2008, Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz and Harvard University's Linda Blimes put the cost of the Iraq war at roughly $3tn, or about 60 times what the Bush administration first said the invasion would cost. While a staggering figure, Stiglitz and Blimes now say that their estimate 'was, if anything, too low'." 3) "Power still out" -- Thirteen years of bombings and sanctions crippled the infrastructure and basic services of what was once a wealthy country. Then came the 2003 invasion, which destroyed electrical plants, sewage systems, water treatment facilities, hospitals and more. Eight years later, the living conditions in Iraqi are worse than under Saddam Hussein, with the country plagued by a continued lack of electricity, clean water, medical care and security." 4) "Millions fled their homes" -- since 2003 "more than 4.7 million Iraqis have fled their homes, many in dire need of humanitarian care" – hardly an endorsement of life in the 'liberated' nation." 5) "Forced into prostitution" - "The Iraqi government estimates there are up to 3 million widows in Iraq today. Meanwhile, violence against women – including honour killings, rape and kidnapping – has increased ... Just to make ends meet, tens of thousands of them – including girls 13 and under – have been forced into prostitution, particularly in Syria." 6) "Trading one strongman for another" -- "Saddam Hussein was a bad guy. Yet his worst crimes, including the 1980 invasion of Iran, came when he was backed by the US government, which was well aware of his penchant for torture and extrajudicial killings – talents American officials were fine with as as he was slaughtering Iranians. Now, his US-backed successor, prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, is torturing and killing those who speak out against his rule. " 7) "Recruitment ad for al-Qaeda" -- "As US intelligence agencies recognised after the invasion, 'the Iraq war has made the overall terrorism problem worse' ... Indeed, there was no better recruitment ad for terrorists than the images the Bush administration and its allies providing foreign troops who were destroying Iraqi society. And there's no better way to create a committed enemy than to kill someone's family - or in the case of Abu Ghraib, to humiliate and torture – sometimes to death – an innocent loved one." After the torture scandal at Abu Ghraib became public news, we issued a series of articles entitled, "Blood in the Streets" strategy. This tactic calls for the deliberate angering of an inferior opponent for the express purpose of so angering them that they would attack your superior force! Please read: NEWS1913 -- "ENRAGING 1.4 BILLION WORLDWIDE MUSLIMS -- "BLOOD IN THE STREETS" STRATEGY -- Part 1" - Sexual Abuse and Specific Humiliation of Iraqi Prisoners NEWS1979 -- "AMERICAN FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIANS AND/OR PATRIOTS HAVE MUCH TO FEAR FROM AN ATTORNEY GENERAL GONZALES" This brings us to the final reason this article gives as to why Iraq is far worse off than before Bush's invasion to "liberate" her. 8) "Hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis" -- "For an invasion sold as an act of liberation and of 'profound morality' by propagandists like Jeffrey Goldberg, the US and its allies sure managed to kill a staggering number of those they were liberating. The organisation Iraq Body Count (IBC) has documented at least 99,900 violent civilian deaths as a direct result of the US-led invasion. But that's an extremely conservative estimate based largely on deaths reported in Western media, an approach bound to undercount the massive death toll from the invasion." "A 2006 study by researchers at Johns Hopkins University published in the Lancet medical journal found that in just over three years there were 654,965 'excess Iraqi deaths as a consequence of the war', with Iraq's death rate more than doubling due to gunfire." "Then a 2008 analysis by British polling firm Opinion Research Business estimated "that over 1,000,000 Iraqi citizens have died as a result of the conflict which started in 2003". As Cutting Edge covered the daily war news everyday, we constantly reported on the brutality of American soldiers. But, the truly horrible news is that this figure of over 1 million civilian deaths will prove to be low by about 20 fold as events occur over the next 20 years. This current article, to its credit, brings out the horrific unfolding story of the poisoning of the entire country through Depleted Uranium weaponry! "The US military dropped thousands of bombs across Iraq laced with depleted uranium ... In Fallujah, which was bombarded more than anywhere else in Iraq, British researchers uncovered a massive increase in infant mortality and rates of cancer, with the latter exceeding "those reported by survivors of the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki," according to The Independent." Do you remember that President Ronald Reagan had to almost completely rebuild the American military because Presidents Ford and Carter and a rebellious Congress had let it become so obsolete and poorly maintained? What few people know is that, when Reagan rebuilt the American military machine, he built a war machine armed with Depleted Uranium munitions! We encourage you to read our D.U. section because most people today are not aware that, when we went to war in Iraq - both in 1991 and 2003 - we exploded so much uranium munitions into fine dust that, over the next 10-20 years, virtually the entire population of Iraq will die. In January, 2003, a Pentagon general testified to Congress that America would need to field an army of 400,000 soldiers in order to gain victory in Iraq. Defense Secretary Rumsfeld only fielded less than one-half of this amount! While the smaller American force could not gain a traditional victory, it was large enough to blow up many thousands of tons of Depleted Uranium munitions. Furthermore, the unbelievable sandstorms which blow every single year in this area of the world effectively are picking up the contaminated dust in Iraq and blowing it 1,000 miles away!
But, it seems as though America is continuing to spread her nuclear madness to the rest of the Islamic Middle East. You will realize that Western Global Elite is continuing to wage a silent nuclear war against the entire Middle East. When this war is finished, Supernation #7 of the Club of Rome Plan will have been set in place, but at a horrific cost in human lives -- perhaps as many as 1 billion Muslims in the Middle East may die over the next 20 years. II. The Western assault on Libya is now in full swing. Is the real purpose of this war to take out Gaddafi? NEWS BRIEF: "Fighting across Libya intensifies", The Hindu, March 22, 2011 "The Libyan opposition forces and government troops, unable to achieve substantive strategic gains, are locked in a string of battles across Libya ... With the threat of a takeover of Benghazi by government forces removed after Western air strikes earlier blew up the regime's tanks and heavy weapons near the city, Ajdabiyah, a strategically located city 160 km from Benghazi, has become the new frontline." "There have been air-strikes on regime targets in Ajdabiyah by Western aircraft on Tuesday but it is unlikely that their impact has been decisive ... On Tuesday, the opposition forces appear to have recorded a significant success in the city of Zintan, 106 km south of Tripoli ... anti-Qadhafi forces have succeeded in breaking the regime's siege around the city. Heavy fighting has also been reported from Misrata, Libya's third largest city, only 200 km east of Tripoli."
"... in a possible setback to the anti-Qadhafi forces, there has been growing opposition across the globe against the possible use of air power that can cause 'regime change', especially after Baab Aziziya, Mr. Qadhafi's residential compound was attacked on Sunday night. There are also fears that 'regime change' can be accomplished if Western powers provide coordinated fire power from the air to anti-Qadhafi combatants." Of course, "Regime Change" is the not-so-hidden plan for all these "protest movements", as we have been saying for months. Libya is one of the nations lying in the geographical area of the Club of Rome plan, shown above. Removal of dictator Gaddafi will allow a compliant new government to be set in place, one who will not resist efforts to establish Regional Government #7 -- "Northern Africa and the Middle East".
III. Regional Government #8 in the Club of Rome Plan seems ready to explode in the Ivory Coast civil war which will remove the resistant strongman dictator! The West's hand-picked successor is standing in the wings! NEWS BRIEF: "Thousands Of Gbagbo Supporters Enlist To Join Ivory Coast Army ", RTT News, March 22, 2011 "Thousands of supporters of Ivory Coast's disputed President Laurent Gbagbo have enlisted to join the Army with the intention of assisting their embattled leader in the fight against rebels loyal to his rival and internationally recognized President elect-Alassane Ouattara ... Situation in Ivory Coast has been tense ever since Gbagbo refused to concede defeat in the November 28 presidential run-off and quit office in favor of the internationally recognized election-winner Ouattara." "Both Gbagbo and Ouattara have since declared themselves winners of the run-off and formed their own governments. While Ouattara is backed by the international community and a rebel group that controls the country's north, Gbagbo has the support of the country's leading Generals." This next news article makes it quite plain that the struggle against the strongman dictator, Gbagbo, is occurring according to the Libyan template! In other words, the same forces of the Global Elite are behind this civil war in the Ivory Coast! NEWS BRIEF: "Ivory Coast’s recognized president asks UN to use ‘legitimate force’ to protect civilians ", The Washington Post, March 22, 2011 "ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast — Ivory Coast’s internationally recognized president is calling for the United Nations to authorize the use of “legitimate force” to protect civilians after a mortar attack last week killed at least 25 people." The United Nations moved to vote for Western airstrikes only because of their 'intense concern' for the livelihood of civilians! What a neat ruse. Western powers immediately moved well beyond just protecting civilians in a bombing campaign designed to overthrow Col. Gaddafi. Therefore, the Ivory Coast's elected President knew exactly what propaganda buttons to push: Send your warplanes to protect our civilians, he intoned. "Ouattara on Monday accused the U.N. of being too passive in protecting civilians amid an increasingly violent political crisis. He called for a rapid intervention force, permanent checkpoints in strategic parts of the city and the destruction of the arsenal held by incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo, who refuses to cede power." Therefore, the struggle is on in the Ivory Coast to destabilize the entire region, sweeping it clear of all resistant strongmen. The Ivory Coast is simply the first of many "regime changes" coming in this region. Only then can Regional Government #8 be established.
IV. Electrical power is now being reconnected to Japan's crippled nuclear power plants, thus enabling engineers to gain an upper hand in controlling this crisis. However, Japan is now gripped with multiple disasters! NEWS BRIEF: "Power lines reconnected to Japan's quake-damaged nuclear plant", Los Angeles Times, March 22, 2011 "Lights are turned on in the control room of reactor No. 3 at the Fukushima complex, but officials warn that equipment must be checked before the restored electricity can be used to operate cooling systems at the plant. Meanwhile, the death toll from the quake and tsunami rises to nearly 10,000, with more than 13,000 still missing." However, Japanese are now struggling with extended crisis which are growing to disaster proportions with every day that passes. Some of these disasters are: 1) "Many Japanese in the tsunami zone, meanwhile, were still experiencing acute shortages of food and gasoline, which caused long lines and shorter tempers." 2) "Convenience stores were running out of food, and at several locations lines stretched around the block with people seeking such staples as water and rice." 3) "But perhaps the lingering gasoline shortage presented the toughest challenge on Day 10 of the multi-fronted disaster ... Most gas stations around the region remained closed. Those still open drew lines that left people waiting 12 hours or more, and then only to fill a portion of their tanks."
