The wording of this carefully parsed sentence leads me to believe that this pastor and the congregation may have reconsidered their position. However, breaking news occurring just as we were posting this news letter said that the church had decided to ignore all the warnings and proceed with the Koran burning. Doubtless they have received threats from Muslims in the area. A few years ago, I was repeatedly threatened by Muslims for my firm support of Israel. These militants threatened to murder me, but only after they had slit my son's throat; Danny was almost 6 years old at the time. This is the true spirit of Islam. Immediately after the intentions of this Florida pastor were made known, Islamic protests erupted in various places on the globe. NEWS BRIEF: "Afghans protest US church's plans to burn Quran", A.P News, September 7, 2010 "Hundreds of Afghans railed against the United States and called for President Barack Obama's death at a rally in the capital Monday to denounce an American church's plans to burn the Islamic holy book on Sept. 11." Some Muslims said they believed that this church was secretly supported by President Obama. "We know this is not just the decision of a church. It is the decision of the president and the entire United States," said Abdul Shakoor, an 18-year-old high school student who said he joined the protest after hearing neighborhood gossip about the Quran burning." I have trouble with this plan for two basic reasons: 1) There is no Scriptural foundation for this action whatsoever. By burning the holy book of another religions -- even a false one -- this pastor is putting himself and his congregation on the same low plane as he perceives his enemies to occupy. We are told to be different from the world and to lift Jesus Christ up to a lost and dying world. In no way, shape or form does this action glorify our Lord. 2) This pastor and his congregation demonstrate that they truly believe the government lie that Muslim terrorists attacked the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on 9/11/2001! Cutting Edge has spent the last nine years trying to educate the people that Muslims were simply the official scapegoats for the attack that Illuminati forces carried out.

If this pastor and his congregation realized that the Muslims did not carry out the attacks of 9/11, but forces directed by our government carried out those attacks, they would not be interested in burning the Koran in commemoration of 9/11.

III. Incredibly, President Obama actually took credit for the victory in the Iraq War! He must be counting on a vast ignorance of recent history from his key supporters. "Just minutes into his short address President Obama shamelessly declared 'This was my pledge to the American people as a candidate for this office'. Speaking about the drawdown of troop levels and handover of security responsibility to the Iraqi security forces, he tried to make it sound like the victory in Iraq was part of his platform ..."
The truth is somewhat different. President Bush negotiated a "Status of Forces Agreement" which set a deadline of August 31, this year, for the pullback of troops out of combat areas, and for the final withdrawal of all troops by December 31, 2011. This withdrawal schedule was set by Bush and carried out by Obama. But, no one won this war, as the entire world will come to realize when all-out civil war breaks out between Sunni and Shi'ite, catapulting the entire country into the kind of collapse which will tempt the Kurds (the Ancient Medes) into attacking what is left of Iraq -- just as God foretold in Isaiah 13.
