A cake not turned is uncooked on one side; and so Ephraim was, in many respects, untouched by divine grace: though there was some partial obedience, there was very much rebellion left. My soul, I charge thee, see whether this be thy case. Art thou thorough in the things of God? Has grace gone through the very centre of thy being so as to be felt in its divine operations in all thy powers, thy actions, thy words, and thy thoughts? To be sanctified, spirit, soul, and body, should be thine aim and prayer; and although sanctification may not be perfect in thee anywhere in degree, yet it must be universal in its action; there must not be the appearance of holiness in one place and reigning sin in another, else thou, too, wilt be a cake not turned.

A cake not turned is soon burnt on the side nearest the fire, and although no man can have too much religion, there are some who seem burnt black with bigoted zeal for that part of truth which they have received, or are charred to a cinder with a vainglorious Pharisaic ostentation of those religious performances which suit their humour. The assumed appearance of superior sanctity frequently accompanies a total absence of all vital godliness. The saint in public is a devil in private. He deals in flour by day and in soot by night. The cake which is burned on one side, is dough on the other.

If it be so with me, O Lord, turn me! Turn my unsanctified nature to the fire of Thy love and let it feel the sacred glow, and let my burnt side cool a little while I learn my own weakness and want of heat when I am removed from Thy heavenly flame. Let me not be found a double-minded man, but one entirely under the powerful influence of reigning grace; for well I know if I am left like a cake unturned, and am not. (C.H. I. On Thursday, 12/15, a Kadima MK let it slip that he believed Israel should no insist upon controlling all of Jerusalem. Immediately, conservative Likud members pounced on this statement as proof that PM Sharon really did plan on compromising on control of Jerusalem. Almost instantaneously , support for Kidma dropped 17%!

NEWS BRIEF: "Sharon 'plans to share Jerusalem with Palestinians' ", The Guardian (London), December 15, 2005

"Ariel Sharon was forced on to the defensive yesterday after Binyamin Netanyahu accused him and his new party, Kadima, of planning to give up part of Jerusalem in a future peace deal with the Palestinians. Mr Sharon denied a report in Newsweek which said he was willing to give 90% of the West Bank to the Palestinians and compromise on Jerusalem in return for peace. According to the article, Mr Sharon's opinion poll expert, Kalman Gayer, said the Israeli prime minister would 'in theory' accept 'a compromise on Jerusalem, in exchange for peace'."

A leading Minister of the Knesset added further fuel to this fire: "Yesterday, Haim Ramon, a Kadima member of the Knesset, said he did not know of one sane person who wanted to keep the Palestinian neighbourhoods of Jerusalem. He told Army Radio that it would be a mistake for Israel to retain large Palestinian areas "because it would mean Jerusalem would be the capital of a non-Jewish, non-Zionist Israel".

As you can imagine, words like these are simply incendiary! As Sharon is forming a new "Centrist Party" -- Kadima -- and is promising IDF soldiers that they would never have to force another Jewish settler out of their home, a revelation like this could prove to be politically disastrous. As you can see, below, Sharon reacted vigorously to deny this allegation.

"Mr Sharon rejected his aide's remarks as 'senseless and absurd', adding: 'The entire united Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel forever' ... But Mr Netanyahu, prospective leader of the Likud party that Mr Sharon left, was quick to emphasize the ideological divisions in the new party. He said: 'The cat is out of the bag. Sharon's aides are revealing what he is trying to hide but everyone already knows Sharon will divide Jerusalem and bring the Palestinians back to the 1967 borders'."

Even though Benjamin Netanyahu is just as committed to the Oslo Accords as is Sharon, he knows that is not the public stance he is to take; for this moment, his presence is needed on the opposite side of Sharon. For this reason, Netanyahu is campaigning to lead the conservative Likud Party. Further, Netanyahu knows exactly the power this type of charge carries, for he successfully used in when running for Prime Minister.

"Mr Netanyahu defeated Shimon Peres in the 1996 general election using the slogan: Peres will divide Jerusalem. Israel annexed East Jerusalem in 1967. The east is home to approximately 200,000 Palestinians who do not share the same rights as other Israelis despite annexation." (Ibid.)

I suspect that the real understanding at this juncture is to realize that Sharon is making a play on words. He said, "The entire united Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel forever' ". When you define what he means by "united", you realize that he is promising only that the portion of Jerusalem now occupied homogeneously by Jews will 'remain the capital of Israel forever'. But, what happens to the 200,000 Palestinians in East Jerusalem? That is up for negotiation.

Do not be deceived: the Plan calls for Jerusalem to be an international city, controlled by forces outside of Israeli control. Cutting Edge has written extensively about this portion of the Plan, to which the following articles will attest:

Israel's Jews do not realize that "the fix is in" concerning international control over at least a portion of Jerusalem. Their leaders have already sold them out, but no one has yet told the citizenry. All the current political turmoil is just "window dressing" to cover the reality until the time has arrived to tell the poor Jews that they have lost control of their capital!

The reaction against this revelation from Prime Minister Sharon's pollster did not take long in coming.

NEWS BRIEF: "Kadima Leaders Worried: Support Dropped 17% in One Week", Israel National News, December 15, 2005

"Internal polls by Ariel Sharon's Kadima party show a drastic drop in its public support. Its showing last week translated to 41 Knesset seats; this week - only 34 ... the controversial defections by Likud leaders Tzachi HaNegbi and Sha'ul Mofaz to Kadima have hurt Sharon's party, rather than helped. Both HaNegbi and Mofaz were widely accused of opportunism for their sudden moves ... According to the not-yet released polls, support for both the Likud and Labor is increasing. Likud is showing 15-16 seats, while Labor, led by Amir Peretz, is up to 24 ...

"The Likud is to choose its leader this Monday in nation-wide party primaries. If no candidate receives at least 40% of the vote, a run-off between the top two candidates will be held the Monday afterwards, Dec. 26. It is widely felt that after a leader is chosen and the party begins to recover from the blows it has recently suffered - namely, the departure of its leader Ariel Sharon and a third of the MKs - support for the Likud will further increase."

Most observers will expect that the race will tighten once Likud and Kadima parties line up their leadership and formulate their plans. But, remember that the Plan to implement the Oslo Accords and to compromise over the control of Jerusalem will advance no matter who "wins" this upcoming March election. Each leader of each party is equally Illuminist: Sharon of Kadima, Netanyahu of Likud, and Peretz of Labor.

II. Any discerning person can see that Jerusalem is once again becoming a "hot-button" issue, just as prophecy foretells.

NEWS BRIEF: "Jerusalem Again Takes Center Stage: PA, EU, US, Want City Divided, While Labor Leader Peretz Just Wants 'Peace' At Any Cost", Jerusalem News Wire, December 13th, 2005

"As Israelis prepare to choose a new leader and the international community circles, waiting for the day after when it will unleash renewed pressure for the birth of a Palestinian Arab state, the future status of the divinely-chosen city of Jerusalem has again taken center stage. All leading candidates for the Israeli premiership vow they will never allow the city to be divided between Jewish and Arab states, holding fast to the traditional position that a united Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel. But cracks are beginning to show in that stand, at least as far as two candidates are concerned."

"Finance Minister Ehud Olmert, the prime minister's top deputy and a man known for releasing 'trial balloons' regarding future policy, has on more than one occasion stated Israel would eventually have to relinquish the dream of an eternally united Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty. In refuting the accusations, Sharon also insisted he remains committed to the internationally-backed Road Map peace plan, which he inferred guarantees a united Jerusalem under Israel's control. The Road Map in fact does no such thing, and instead defers the issue to final status negotiations ... Sharon's Labor Party rival Amir Peretz has also gone on record as backing Israeli sovereignty over all of Jerusalem, but made clear last week his primary goal, if elected leader of the nation, will be to conclude a final peace agreement with the 'Palestinians' within one year."

Palestinian Authority Chairman Abbas then reminded all Israeli leaders that no deal on a Palestinian State can occur without compromise on Jerusalem.

This article then shows how the E.U. and the U.S. stands on this issue:

"The European Union recently clarified its position on Jerusalem in a still-unpublished report slamming Israeli activity and the imposition of Israeli law in the eastern half of the city, where several hundred thousand Jews live in the neighborhoods of Gilo, French Hill, Ramat Eshkol and others ... For its part, Israel's top ally, the United States, has never come out in support of Israel's biblical and historical claim to all of Jerusalem, and instead refers to the city as 'disputed'.”

Jerusalem is, indeed, "disputed", just as the Bible foretold in Zechariah 12. In days to come, we shall see even greater hysteria breed in the debate as to who will control Jerusalem.

However, Sharon may have a trump card up his sleeve in this issue after all, as this next news report indicates:

NEWS BRIEF: "Half of Israelis favour deal on Jerusalem - poll", Reuters News, December 16, 2005

"JERUSALEM, Dec 16 (Reuters) - Nearly half of Israelis would support giving up parts of Arab East Jerusalem under any eventual peace deal with the Palestinians, a poll published on Friday showed. The survey in Yedioth Ahronoth said 49 percent favoured giving Palestinians control over largely Arab neighbourhoods of East Jerusalem, which Israel captured in the 1967 Middle East War and annexed in a move not recognised internationally. Another 49 percent said they would oppose relinquishing any of the city Israel regards as its 'indivisible capital'. Palestinians want East Jerusalem as capital of a would-be state."

"The fate of the city, holy to Jews, Muslims and Christians has always been one of the toughest problems facing any peace negotiations."

Year after year of incessant public propaganda directed at the Jewish citizenry has finally brought forth fruit. Now, nearly one-half of all Jewish citizens are so muddle-headed they actually still believe the lie that peace can be obtained with the Palestinians if only Israel would give up more land -- this time Jerusalem!

A top Palestinian chief immediately weighed in on this discussion:

"Senior Palestinian Authority Chief Says: ‘No Jerusalem, No Peace’ ", Israel National News, December 13, 2005

" 'No Jerusalem, no peace', declared PA Prime Minister Ahmed Quriea at a special cabinet meeting of the Palestinian Authority’s government on Monday. Quriea, also known by the name he used as a PLO terrorist, Abu Ala, is a senior PA official, second to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas. He promised that the Palestinian Authority would never give up its demand for sovereignty over Jerusalem and goal of making it the capital of a Palestinian state. That goal, he said, has become the PA’s primary consideration for peace with Israel."

Many people believe that East Jerusalem will become the capitol of the new Palestinian State, while Israel will retain sovereignty over the traditionally Jewish segment.

But, all people do agree: Jerusalem is becoming a more contentious issue every week. What did God foretell at the End of the Age?

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about..." (Zech 12:2)

III. Anti-Jewish hatred once again spilled over this past week, demonstrating that the hatred toward the Jews as revealed in Zechariah 12 is very much in vogue today.

NEWS BRIEF: "Lebanese Largest University: "Just Like Hitler..We Should Fight Jews & Burn Them", MEMRI Research, December 15, 2005

"Lebanon's Largest Government University Hosts Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV Symposium Calling to Wipe Israel Off The Map: 'Just Like Hitler Fought The Jews.We Too Should Fight The Jews and Burn Them'. The following are excerpts from a symposium of students at Universite Libanaise, hosted by Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV and broadcast on November 29, 2005."

"Hisham Sham'as: "The state shouldn't be only within the 1976 borders... Or rather, 1967... Israel must be wiped out."

Mediator: "You mean, reviving the motto of erasing Israel from the map."

Hisham Sham'as: "Israel should be completely wiped out, so the Palestinians will have a country to return to."

Mediator: "If someone tells you this motto is unrealistic, how would you respond?"

Hisham Sham'as: "There is no such thing as unrealistic. ... Just like Hitler fought the Jews - We are a great Islamic nation of Jihad, and we too should fight the Jews and burn them."

As undiscerning people reiterate their naive belief that Israel can achieve peace and security with her Arab neighbors under any circumstances, they need to ponder this unbelievable hatred toward the Jews expressed in these statements. The vast majority of Islamic peoples throughout the world hate Israel in their heart of hearts and want her dead. An admiration of Adolf Hitler and his nearly-successful attempt to wipe out all Jews worldwide also beats in the heart of most Arabs.

Of great interest also is the fact that this TV interview occurred at the state-run Lebanese University, which means that the views expressed probably are shared by the Lebanese government, which is supposedly pro-American. Therefore, you must understand that anti-Jewish hatred flares in the heart of virtually all Muslims, whether they are nominally pro-Western or anti-Western. Hatred of the Jew is the one common denominator linking the entire Islamic peoples worldwide.

Iran's new hardline President uttered two very hateful broadside remarks recently to fuel the fire of Anti-Semitism threatening to engulf the Islamic world.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iranian President Ahmadinejad says Holocaust 'myth' was created by Europeans", Ha'aretz News, December 12, 2005

"Lashing out again at Iran's hard-line president, the Bush administration dubbed as "just astonishing" Mahmoud Ahmadinejad description of the Holocaust as a myth, and said he was digging a diplomatic hole for himself. The assertion by Ahmadinejad 'can only be characterized as outrageous', State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Wednesday. 'These comments are certainly reprehensible'."

"Ahmadinejad, in his latest salvo against Israel, said the Holocaust was 'a myth' and a pretext for establishing a Jewish state in the heart of the Muslim world. The Holocaust, carried out by Germany and its allies during World War II, was designed to destroy European Jewry. An estimated 6 million people were killed."

"Wednesday was the first occasion when the Iranian president said in public that the Holocaust was a myth. 'They have fabricated a legend under the name 'Massacre of the Jews', and they hold it higher than God Himself, religion itself and the prophets themselves', he told a crowd in the southeastern city of Zahedan. His speech was broadcast live on state television."

I find it curious that this new hardline Iranian president would stoop to trying to deny the Holocaust. Curiously, the Lebanese TV interviewers, quoted above, believed that Hitler's genocide against the Jews was an historic event. Therefore, the spectacle of seeing a head of state joining the Holocaust deniers is strange and pitiful, indeed.

But, if you view these remarks as those of a master propagandist trying to stir the hatred of the masses under his sway, this denial of the Holocaust makes a whole lot of sense. If the time has come in world history to stir up 1.4 billion Muslims against Israel, this kind of remark makes complete sense. If the time is drawing near for hordes of Islamic armies to begin swarming against Jerusalem as Zechariah 12 foretells, then this remark will probably hit the very target for whom it is aimed: the rank and file Islamic citizen. Such remarks will inflame those uneducated, uninformed Muslims who will eventually march against against Jerusalem, or who will send their sons to march.

With this in mind, the following article also makes sense.

NEWS BRIEF: "Iranian President Calls To Transfer Israel to Europe: Dismantle the Jewish State and rebuild it in Europe", December 9, 2005

"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad suggested Thursday to dismantle the Jewish State and rebuild it in Europe: 'If the Europeans are honest they should give provinces in Europe… to the Zionists'. Speaking in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, Ahmadinejad implied that guilt for the holocaust led European countries to support the establishment of the State of Israel ... Although we don't accept this claim," Ahmadinejad said, "if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: Is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?"

"The Iranian president then suggested that the State of Israel be dismantled and rebuilt somewhere in Europe: 'If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe, like in Germany, Austria or other countries, to the Zionists, and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe, and we will support it'."

When you marry all these stories together, you can see the master propagandist at work, stimulating the hatred among hundreds of millions of Muslims for the Jew, for their capitol at Jerusalem and for their nation, Israel. If the world does stand at the brink of the appearance of Antichrist, we should understand that we then stand at the brink of the fulfillment of Zechariah 12, where God foretells that He will bring wave after wave of armies against Jerusalem and shall personally guarantee their destruction.

What does prophecy state concerning God's protection of His nation, Israel, at the End of the Age?

When God begins His judgment of the nations all around Israel, He will begin with those who have vigorously hated the Jew following Israel's return to the land in 1948. Very high on that list will be the Palestinian people. Do not be deceived.

IV. People the world over are continuing to view President Bush's wars and his torture scandal as symptomatic of a perverted brand of Christianity. The danger continues to grow that, if President Bush is discredited enough, the brush could become wide enough to paint all genuine Christians with the same hue as President Bush's brand of Christian, thus setting up the expected Christian persecution.

Before you discard this editorial totally because of its anti-christian tone, you should be aware that the views expressed here by Jason Miller, are becoming more and more pronounced throughout the world. Greater numbers of people worldwide are coming to view Christianity in this light because of the horrific wars and terrors unleashed by "christian" President George W. Bush. On the one hand, foreigners can see bombs falling, civilians dying, and entire populations being slowly murdered by Depleted Uranium Munitions; on the other hand, people hear President Bush espouse his Christian beliefs, and they can see and hear terribly misguided Evangelical leaders backing the President and telling their constituents that he is a genuine Christian, and calling his wars "Just".

Let us now return to this editorial.

"One of the rationalizations for the illegal occupation of Iraq (and the murders of over one hundred thousand innocent Iraqi civilians) is that the United States is engaged in a struggle of "good versus evil". In spite of repeated heinous acts committed for years by the United States in the Middle East, including state terrorism resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, installation and/or support of ruthless dictators (i.e. Saddam Hussein, the Shah of Iran) ... these pseudo-Christians have managed to convince many Americans that the US is 'good' and the 'terrorists' (i.e. the Resistance to US occupation in Iraq) are 'evil' ..."

Mr. Miller then identifies his religious background as Methodist.

"Growing up Methodist, my indoctrination into the Christian faith was rather moderate. I do not recall our ministers preaching fire, brimstone, or eternal damnation. Somehow I missed the interpretation of Revelations in which the Christo-Fascists have determined that Christ will return to Earth to 'judge and make war'." (Ibid.)

While it is prophetically true that Jesus will return to earth in great fury and anger to judge the peoples of the world, it is not true that Christian forces operating under the flag of the Christian Church must first seize control of the world for Jesus. That is the teaching of Dominion Theologians, like Pat Robertson and George Bush. Increasingly, peoples of the world are beginning to view President Bush's wars and his calls for "Regime Change" as the logical outworking of Bush's "christian" viewpoint. If allowed to continue, will one day bite genuine Christians in the neck, and probably fatally so.

I believe that genuine Christians are being set up for persecution by these horrific events, and that if the "patron saint" of the Dominion Theologian position -- President Bush -- is ever brought down into disrepute, the prosecution of Christians will not be far behind.

This following article is in much the same vein as this Scoop editorial, which we considered, above. However, "Christo-Fascists" gives way to the term, "Christian Zionists". Both terms refer to President Bush and his Evangelical allies.

V. As anti-war sentiment threatens to engulf his presidency, Mr. Bush decided to take a different tack: he "apologized" for the "Intel errors" which led to his invasion of Iraq.

"WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush said Wednesday the responsibility for invading Iraq based in part on faulty weapons intelligence rested solely with him, taking on the issue in his most direct and personal terms in the 1,000-plus days since the war's first shots.

" 'It is true that much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong', Bush said. 'As president, I'm responsible for the decision to go into Iraq'."

"The president's mea culpa was accompanied by a robust defense of the divisive war. 'Saddam was a threat - and the American people and the world is better off because he is no longer in power', Bush declared, as he has before. During the same week he took the 'blame' for the Iraqi War, the President tried to justify the wanton killing of civilians, saying that 'only 30,000' had died since the invasion."

Of course, by taking this approach, the President avoided having to admit to his people that he and Rumsfeld, and Rice, and Cheney and Powell boldly lied to justify this war. Now, let us examine President Bush's incredible statement in his defense that "only 30,000" civilians died.

In a rare comment by a US leader on the toll, Mr Bush said in a question and answer session after a speech here that roughly 30,000 Iraqis had been killed since the March 2003 invasion, while 2,140 US troops have lost their lives. Mr Bush was in Philadelphia to give the third in a series of speeches ahead of Thursday’s parliamentary elections in Iraq, touting political progress there in a bid to shore up public support for the unpopular war and his strategy to end it"

"He also had harsh criticism for ‘Arabic television stations’ that were ‘constantly just pounding America’ — without naming names. Washington has previously assailed the Qatar-based Al Jazeera satellite television. At a time when the Pentagon has been accused of using a contractor to plant stories in Iraq’s media, Mr Bush said the anti-US ‘propaganda machine is pretty darn intense’. After being pilloried last week for bucking the question-and-answer tradition at the Council on Foreign Relations, Mr Bush took five queries from the crowd — the first a request for an estimate of Iraqis killed.

“How many Iraqi citizens have died in this war? I would say 30,000, more or less, have died as a result of the initial incursion and the ongoing violence against Iraqis. We’ve lost about 2,140 of our own troops,” he said. —AFP"

Of course, what Mr. Bush did not remind his constituents was that, 13 months ago, a respected British Think Tank said that they had carefully calculated that over 100,000 Iraqi civilians had died -- and war has raged for 13 months since that estimate!

""About 100,000 Iraqi civilians - half of them women and children - have died in Iraq since the invasion, mostly as a result of air strikes by coalition forces, according to the first reliable study of the death toll from Iraqi and US public health experts. The study, which was carried out in 33 randomly-chosen neighbourhoods of Iraq representative of the entire population, shows that violence is now the leading cause of death in Iraq ... Last night the Lancet medical journal fast-tracked the survey to publication on its website after rapid, but extensive peer review and editing because, said Lancet editor Richard Horton, "of its importance to the evolving security situation in Iraq". But the findings raised important questions also for the governments of the United Sates and Britain who, said Dr Horton in a commentary, "must have considered the likely effects of their actions for civilians".

The Bush Administration has worked proactively since the beginning of our invasion to downplay both the counts of American soldiers killed or wounded, and of civilian deaths. The official total still stands, as President Bush himself stated, at 2,140 troops, much less than the 14,000 casualty total which Col. David Hackworth estimated in October, 2004.

Let us quickly return to this Guardian article for more insights.

"The researchers criticize the failure of the coalition authorities to attempt to assess for themselves the scale of the civilian casualties. 'US General Tommy Franks is widely quoted as saying 'we don't do body counts'," they write, but occupying armies have responsibilities under the Geneva convention'. This survey shows that with modest funds, four weeks and seven Iraqi team members willing to risk their lives, a useful measure of civilian deaths could be obtained." (Op. Cit, Guardian)

Of course, 100,000 civilian deaths pales in comparison with the ultimate price of the number of people who will ultimately be killed with Depleted Uranium poisoning, but it still serves as a reminder to all Americans that our current President is committing genocide in Iraq. Now can you see why President Bush refused to invade Iraq before he had officially received immunity from war crimes from the International Court? (Read NEWS1933 for full details)

Once again, President Bush continues to hold to fanciful figures and even more fanciful justifications for his "wars and rumors of wars" foreign policy. In fact, his thin line of reasoning and of defense of his policies is getting so "fanciful" that the President even fielded a question as to whether he lives and works in a "bubble" at the White House! "WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush said on Monday that he does not live 'in a bubble' and that he is well aware of what is going on outside the White House, rejecting critics' claims that he is out of touch ... 'I don't feel in a bubble', Bush said in an interview on 'NBC Nightly News'. Bush said he gets 'really good advice' from 'very capable people' and that people from all walks of life provide information to him and his advisers."

" 'I feel very comfortable that I'm very aware of what's going on', Bush said."

"Asked how much television news and newspapers he regularly consumes, Bush moved to dispel a myth that grew a few years ago after he told an interviewer that he does not read newspapers. 'Every morning I look at the newspaper', Bush told NBC. 'I can't say I've read every single article in the newspaper. But, I definitely know what's in the news'."

" 'Occasionally, I watch television. I don't want to hurt your feelings. But it's occasionally', Bush said jokingly."

Why would President Bush even be asked this type of question? Might it not be because the world he presents in his public appearances is so at odds with the harsh reality which most of the people of this nation, and of the world, see when they look at current events? Certainly, as President Bush continues to defend the indefensible -- Iraq War -- he is being viewed by more and more Americans as being "out of touch" with reality.

VI. Iraqis trooped to the polls December 15, 2005, to elect their first permanent government.

President Bush has long been touting the "democracy" he says is taking shape in Iraq. There have been two centerpieces of this fledgling democracy: the passage of a constitution and now an election which will put into place a permanent government. That election occurred Thursday, December 15. Let us view this news story from several angles.

NEWS BRIEF: "Praises for Iraq election", Newsday, December 16, 2005

"WASHINGTON - President George W. Bush hailed yesterday's voting in Iraq as 'a major milestone' in establishing a democratic ally for the United States in the Middle East and moving toward withdrawal of American troops."

Notice the tie-in which this article presents, linking this election with the ultimate withdrawal of American troops. President Bush is hoping for the same type of "window of opportunity" which the North Vietnamese graciously extended to President Nixon, where they allowed American troops to be withdrawn amidst glowing official White House expressions of admiration for the South Vietnamese government and military, and they did not mount a serious attack until one year later. President Bush is hoping for that kind of "window of opportunity".

"The appearance of a buoyant Bush in the Oval Office alongside six smiling Iraqis displaying fingers stained with purple ink - applied at the polls to ensure against multiple voting - was an attempt to capitalize on positive news in Iraq. The parliamentary elections carried high stakes for a White House confronted with increasing public and congressional dissatisfaction with the war. Bush said, 'There's a lot of joy, as far as I'm concerned' about the voting, adding that he was happy with the turnout even without final tabulations. 'We're certain that the turnout was significant and that the violence was down', he said. He congratulated Iraqis for 'refusing to be cowed into not voting' and assured them the United States would stick with the mission there 'until we complete this job'." (Ibid.)

What did the United States expect out of this election?

NEWS BRIEF: "US expectations at stake in Iraqi election", By Paul Tait, Reuters News, December 13, 2005

"BAGHDAD (Reuters) - After losing more than 2,300 troops dead and spending over $250 billion in Iraq, the United States and its allies have an awful lot invested in Thursday's parliamentary election. The vote will not just determine Iraq's first full-term government since the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003, it will also act as significant waymark toward withdrawing U.S. troops from a war that is increasingly unpopular with Americans ... Turnout rose to 64 percent in October's constitutional referendum, which Sunnis narrowly failed to vote down. Hussein al-Hindawi, chairman of the U.N.-backed Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq, told Reuters this week he believed the turnout in Thursday's poll would top 70 percent. U.S. President George W. Bush is likely to need such numbers before he can tout the election as an unqualified success."

Note that the President truly wants to declare "the election as an unqualified success".

Mr. Bush has also lately been touting the success of the rebuilding effort in Najaf and Mosul. However, this next segment gives the lie to that claim.

"Bush has held up Najaf and Mosul as examples of progress in reconstruction efforts, but the plaudits ring hollow to foreign journalists who still cannot walk the streets of those cities without body armor and significant military protection." (Ibid.)

It also seems that the word has spread throughout the Iraqi citizenry is that the one best way to get foreign troops to leave is to vote!

"Predictions of the turnout in Sunni strongholds like the western province of Anbar vary wildly ... 'The Sunni Arab community as a whole understands in a way that they did not understand in the last election that having strong representation in the national government is in their interests', said a Western diplomat in Baghdad."

Indeed, when Iraqis see their government officials -- who owe their jobs and continued life to American power -- setting timetable demands for American withdrawal, and when they see these same officials traveling to Iran, to court Iranian favor, they can understand that the Americans can withdraw more easily if they can create the perception that Iraq is now a democracy and is now strong enough to govern and protect herself.

For goodness sake, that perception is so strong that the Insurgency even cut back their attacks greatly just before the people trooped to the polls. You might even see a lower level of insurgent attacks after the election, if the insurgency is going to make it easy for President Bush to declare "success" and begin withdrawing troops.

However, angry public rhetoric did not cease. Extremists branded this election "satanic".

NEWS BRIEF: "Islamic extremists: Iraqi vote 'satanic'", USA Today, 12/13/2005

"BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — Soldiers, patients and prisoners began voting Monday in national elections, three days ahead of the general population, while insurgents denounced the balloting as a 'satanic project' but did not threaten to attack polling stations ... In a rare joint statement, al-Qaeda in Iraq and four other Islamic extremist groups denounced the election as a 'satanic project' and said that 'to engage in the so-called political process' violates 'the legitimate policy approved by God'."

"The groups vowed to 'continue our jihad (holy war) ... to establish an Islamic state ruled by the book (the Quran) and the traditions of the Prophet Muhammad'."

"However, the statement contained no clear threat to disrupt voting as in the run-up to the Jan. 30 election and the Oct. 15 referendum on the constitution."

For the most part, this statement seems to be an exercise in empty rhetoric.

But, amidst the official euphoria over this election, seasoned observers saw a very dark lining in the official clouds.

NEWS BRIEF: "Only negotiation with Iraq's resistance can bring peace: But the US remains blind to daily national humiliation", The Guardian (London), December 16, 2005

"A more inclusive political process should grow out of the elections. But the US remains blind to daily national humiliation. A thousand days after the American invasion, yesterday's Iraqi election was promising ... The poll is not the only cause for hope. Iraqi leaders from across the political and sectarian spectrum, including members of the current government, recently met in Cairo for an under-reported 'reconciliation' conference that may prove as important as yesterday's vote."

"They agreed to meet again in two months, and to 'demand the withdrawal of foreign forces in accordance with a timetable'. So it is not just the foreign 'cut and run' merchants, whom Washington and London pillory, but also senior Iraqis who are getting impatient. The Cairo meeting condemned attacks on non-military targets as terrorism and stressed that 'resistance is a legitimate right for all people'. The phrase is crucial since it concedes - bizarrely, perhaps, for ministers in the present government who work with the Americans on counterinsurgency - that armed struggle against the occupation is justified."

Did you catch that bit of startling statement? These Iraqi leaders, representing a broad spectrum of politics within that country, have just issued a statement in which they legitimized much of the military struggle of the Insurgency! While paying lip service to the position that "non-military targets" should not be targeted, these leaders then turned around to state that "resistance is a legitimate right for all people" -- in other words, these leaders took the position that "armed struggle against the occupation is justified."

These Iraqi leaders are facing reality after the Americans leave, and they do not like what they see. Their lives and the lives of their families, depend upon separating themselves from the American government. While cooperating with the Americans on many issues, these leaders are beginning to act like Muslims: they are talking with other national leaders, including Iran; and, they are passing resolutions which confirm that military struggle against the American occupation is justified.

As soon as the last American leaves Iraq, the entire "democratic government" is likely to tumble into the dustbin of history, giving total victory to the radical insurgents, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, who have the most actively opposed the American invasion and subsequent occupation.

Is it any wonder that officials at NBC Nightly News felt they had to ask the President if he felt that he was "living in a bubble"?

VII. During this past week, Australia passed through the same Western / Muslim confrontation which rocked France some weeks ago; again, as in France, new emergency laws were enacted which gave police new authoritarian powers. We thus see the same Hegelian Dialectic in play: Create the crises, Step in to "solve" the crisis -- or, to put it another way: "Planned Crises = Planned Authoritarian Powers".

NEWS BRIEF: "Hate at the beach", The Australian, December 13, 2005

" THE bashing of two North Cronulla lifesavers by a gang of Middle Eastern youths a week ago was the trigger for an outbreak of the ugly mob violence on the weekend. Certainly the retaliatory text messages calling on 'Aussies' to attack Lebanese youths visiting the southern Sydney beach fueled what NSW Premier Morris Iemma labelled 'the ugly face of racism', which erupted in two beachside suburbs on Sunday ... And there are threats of more retaliation and violence to come. The latest mobile phone message being circulated yesterday said: 'all arabs unite as one/we will never back down to anyone/the aussies will feel the full force of the arabs as one/brothers in arms unite now/let's show them who's boss/destroy everything/gather at cronulla 18/12/05 midday/spread the message to all arabs/meet up at the lighthouse'."

This is how the riots started. And, just as in France, the trouble spread, nationwide.

NEWS BRIEF: "Mobs riot again as Sydney race tensions explode", The Telegraph News, 13/12/2005

"Racial violence flared in Sydney yesterday in apparent retaliation for earlier clashes in which a mob of 5,000 white youths chanted abuse and attacked people of Middle Eastern origin. The second night of violence brought terror to one of the city's best known beaches. It flared when young men of mostly Lebanese background clashed with police, throwing stones and other missiles. Police reinforcements were drafted in as thugs attacked cars and shops with baseball bats and threatened to do battle with rival white gangs with guns and crowbars. About 200 young Muslim men gathered outside one of the city's largest mosques, some armed with pistols. A white woman in a car was said to have been approached by some men and told: 'We are going to rape you, you Aussie slut'. It was claimed that a shot was fired at the vehicle."

"The cycle of violence tarnished Australia's reputation - often promoted by the government - as a bastion of tolerance and racial integration."

Riots continued to spread even more throughout the country, another parallel to the riots in France.

NEWS BRIEF: "Australian Race attacks spread to Perth, Adelaide", smh.com.au, December 13, 2005

"Attacks on a Middle Eastern family in Perth and a Lebanese Australian taxidriver in Adelaide have been linked to Sydney's race violence. In an alarming sign Sydney's race-fueled problems may be spreading, a family of Middle Eastern origin was attacked in Perth by a group of 11 Caucasian men, who threw eggs, shouted abuse and kicked the garage door ... meanwhile, Islamic Council of Victoria offices in west Melbourne have been vandalized for the second time in a month. A brick was thrown through the front window of the building. Islamic Council of Victoria chairman Malcom (Malcom) Thomas said he believed yesterday's attack was linked to race violence in Sydney."

And, now, the government steps in to pass new emergency powers which they insist are needed to restore order.

NEWS BRIEF: "Emergency powers said needed to stop Australian riots", smh.com.au, December 13, 2005

"An emergency session of NSW parliament will give Sydney police tough new powers to crack down on racial and mob violence, amid signs the city's race tensions are spreading to other states. A massive force of 450 highly-mobile police also patrolled Sydney streets tonight to try to prevent a third successive night of violence following Sunday's Cronulla race riot. Eight people were injured last night as groups of Middle Eastern men in fast-moving convoys of cars roamed southern Sydney suburbs, trashing vehicles and shop fronts.

"Today, with Australia's and Sydney's reputation for racial tolerance under threat, the NSW government moved to end the spiraling violence. An emergency session of parliament on Thursday will give police powers not seen since the 2000 Sydney Olympics. 'These criminals have declared war on our society and we are not going to let them win', said Premier Morris Iemma, who said the criminals had brought 'shame' to Sydney. Under the laws, police will be able to lock down parts of Sydney and search and confiscate vehicles - measures aimed at ending night-time 'smash and bash' raids by carloads of young Middle Eastern men."

"Under the new measures, police will have the power to:

- declare lock-down zones

- confiscate vehicles

- shut down licensed premises

- impose temporary alcohol-free zones

- remove the presumption of bail for the offences of riot and disorder

- increase the penalty for riot by five years to 15 years in jail

- double the penalty for affray to 10 years in jail."

It sounds like Australia may yet get its own version of Patriot Act II, awarding police more power and dictatorial type authority than they heretofore possessed. Advanced countries throughout the world are getting these dictatorial laws passed one way or another, with one crisis or another. The world is marching lock-step toward imposition of a global dictatorship, a global martial law.

VIII. Gay themes have exploded in "popularity" with the Hollywood elite. Right on schedule, Hollywood steps in to reward her own with talk of Oscar nominations.

"Arriving with nudity and explicit gay sex scenes between two cowboys, UNIVERSAL/FOCUS FILMS's BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN has quietly become an award season frontrunner, interviews with Academy members reveal ... 'There was not a dry eye in the house at the screening at Telluride [Film Festival in Colorado]', says the producer, who asked not to be named out of respect for the cast and crew of the producer's own Oscar contender. 'Watch it come out of the gate at the Golden Globes with super controversy'."

The Illuminati knows that controversy sells a great amount of product, so they have never been shy about producing works full of "super controversy". Note in this next segment that even Madonna finds this movie shocking.

"NEW YORK DAILY NEWS critic Jack Mathews predicts the gay cowboy movie, which takes place in Wyoming, may be 'too much for red-state audiences, but it gives the liberal-leaning Academy a great chance to stick its thumb in conservatives' eyes'. Director Ang Lee's movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger won the Golden Lion, the top prize at the Venice Film Festival earlier this fall. But will a movie even Madonna calls 'shocking' sit with the heartland?"

Hollywood right now is not worried about how America's "heartland" is going to view this movie. The movers and shakers in Tinsel Town are lining up the awards, which will confer great legitimacy upon this "Gay Cowboy" movie.

NEWS BRIEF: "Gay cowboy romance 'Brokeback Mountain' positioned itself as a key Oscar competitor Tuesday", My Way News, DECEMBER 13, 2005

"BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) - The gay cowboy romance 'Brokeback Mountain' positioned itself as a key Oscar competitor Tuesday, roping in seven Golden Globe nominations, including best dramatic picture and honors for actor Heath Ledger and director Ang Lee ... The Globes were a triumph for smaller budgeted films over big studio productions. 'This is the first time in the history of the Golden Globes that all of the best (dramatic) film nominees are independent movies made for under $30 million', said Philip Berk, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which presents the awards ... he Globes were the latest recognition for "Brokeback Mountain," a critical darling that has received top honors from critics groups in New York City, Los Angeles and Boston."

"Still, the film has an uphill trail to the Oscars, whose voters may hesitate to anoint a gay-themed movie as its champion."

This next story is from an "alternative" source, and its writers are not shy about their excitement over the "Gay Themed" movies -- such the rage today in Hollywood.

NEWS BRIEF: "Gay themes grab hold", Award Central, Variety, December 13, 2005

"It's red meat for the culture warriors. This year's Globe nominations highlight a year in which lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters played major roles in crossover titles. 'Brokeback Mountain', 'Breakfast on Pluto', 'Capote', and even 'The Producers' put gay characters front and center. 'Transamerica' has a transgender lead, and Pierce Brosnan Pierce Brosnan plays a bisexual man in 'The Matador'."

" 'These are films with universal themes that everyone can identify with', said GLAAD spokesman Damon Romine. 'Brokeback Mountain' is a great American romance where two men happen to be in love with each other'. Gay characters have become routine in film and TV. For the most part, though, those gay characters didn't have any actual sex -- at least, not onscreen. And they were often there to provide sage advice to straight leads."

In fact, this movie is just part of the "gay themed" movie wave cresting to unprecedented heights in American film making, as this quote, above proves.

Just as Scripture foretold, the world is rushing headlong into the abyss called "Sodom and Gomorrah". Remember Jesus' Words?

IX. Teaching in Cutting Edge Seminars One and Two were further confirmed as we learned of one more prominent instance where a major scientist who founded a major company was thoroughly practicing the occult.

NEWS BRIEF: "NASA's John Whiteside Parsons: Anti-Christ Superstar", By Richard Metzger, Red Ice, 2005 12 09

"When the history of the American space program is finally written, no figure will stand out quite like John Whiteside Parsons. Remarkably handsome, dashing and brilliant, Jack Parsons was one of the founders of the experimental rocket research group at Cal Tech and the groups seven acre Arroyo Seco testing facility would eventually become Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA's rocket design center. Werner von Braun claimed it was the self-taught Parsons, not himself, who was the true father of the American space program for his contribution to the development of solid rocket fuel..."

"... what is little known about this legend of aerospace engineering is that Parsons was an avid practitioner of the occult sciences, and for several years, Aleister Crowley's hand-picked leader of the US branch of the Ordo Templi Orientis, the Southern California-based Agape Lodge ... Parsons interest in the occult apparently commenced at an early age and in one of his diaries he claimed to have visibly evoked Satan at the tender age of 13 ... After discovering Crowley's philosophy of Thelema (Greek for true will), Parsons joined the Agape Lodge in 1941. Wilfred T. Smith, the expatriate Englishman who started the order in the early 1930s with a charter from the Great Beast himself, wrote of Parsons in a letter to Crowley: "I think I have at long last a really excellent man, John Parsons. And starting next Tuesday he begins a course of talks with a view to enlarging our scope. He has an excellent mind and much better intellect than myself... John Parsons is going to be valuable."

"Parsons rose quickly through the ranks, taking over the Agape Lodge from Smith at Crowley's decree within a year.

"In one of the most celebrated feats in magickal history, Parsons and pre-Dianetics L. Ron Hubbard (whose role is too complicated to describe in this short essay) performed The Babalon Working, a daring attempt to shatter the boundaries of time and space and intended to bring about, in Parsons' own words, 'love, understanding, and Dionysian freedom' ... In its initial stages, The Babalon Working was intended to attract an elemental to serve as a partner for Parsons elaborate sex magick rituals. The method employed was that of the solo VIII Degree working of the O.T.O, the quasi-Masonic organization reformulated by Crowley in the earlier part of the century in accordance with his Do What Thou Wilt mythos of Thelema ... Parsons used his magickal wand to whip up a vortex of energy so the elemental would be summoned ... Apparently, it worked. In a letter to Crowley dated February 23, 1946, Parsons exclaimed, 'I have my elemental! She turned up one night after the conclusion of the Operation, and has been with me since'."

"The elemental was a green-eyed, flaming redhead named Marjorie Cameron, (later of Kenneth Anger's Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome film, an artist of some reknown and a primary force in the New Age Goddess movement). Cameron was only too happy to participate in Parsons' sex magick and now Parsons could get down to the real business of The Babalon Working: the birthing of a moonchild or homunculus. The operation was formulated to open an interdimensional doorway, rolling out the red carpet for the appearance of the goddess Babalon in human form, employing the Enochian Calls [angelic language] of Elizabethan magus John Dee and the attraction of the sex force of the duo's copulation to this end." (Emphasis added)

Literally, these sex magick rituals were designed to produce the "goddess Babalon in human form" during sex between the human, Jack Parsons, and this demonic "elemental" who had taken the female form. Virtually everything that Crowley and his "Crowley-ites" did was related to staging Antichrist on the world scene; therefore, this radical Black Magick sex ritual must have been geared to this end. Certainly, the occult author of this article believes that Parsons was trying to assist the appearance of Antichrist, or he would not have entitled this piece, "NASA's John Whiteside Parsons: Anti-Christ Superstar".

Can you imagine that the scientist who founded the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and who was instrumental in developing rockets and the fuels by which they were powered, was this involved in Black Magick Satanism?

But, if you had listened to both Seminars One and Two, above, you would not be too surprised, for we demonstrate that the meteoric rise in scientific knowledge the world has experienced since World War I is the direct result of "discoveries" which key scientists who were involved in the occult received. We demonstrate that Satan could not have fulfilled all the Bible prophecies required of him with the technology which existed in 1900. In order to fulfill just the "Mark of the Beast" prophecy Revelation 13:16-18, Satan will have to create a global economy which is cashless and which operates according to an implantable chip. Until the advent of the computer, Bible scholars had no idea how an economy could eliminate cash or how a human being could have something implanted within him which would regulate the buying and selling of merchandise all throughout a global economy.

Today, we know how these prophecies will be fulfilled and we are simply amazed at the unfolding of the requisite technology.

But, did you know that famous scientists through history were members of secret societies? Consider just a short, simple list:

1) Benjamin Franklin -- Freemason, Rosicrucian

2) Henry Ford -- Member of House of Theosophy

3) Thomas Alva Edison -- Member of House of Theosophy

4) Nicholas Tesla (invented fluorescent light bulb, alternating currents and the engines by which they are run, and Scalar Electromagnetic Waves) -- Was identified by one author as a "mystic", but we are not sure of which society he was a member.

These are just a few of the many prominent scientists whose works formed the foundation of modern, technological society. There are many others, as we list them in these seminars.

As we stated, above, Satan could not have fulfilled all the Bible prophecies required of him with the technology which existed in 1900. God has allowed Satan to impart scientific knowledge at specific eras of time -- consistent with God's overall prophetic timetable -- which will allow the Evil One to move toward fulfilling all God's prophecies. In fact, you can rightly think of a secret society as "Satan's church", for it is through these societies that Satan passes doctrine and plans down from generation to generation, and it is through these secret societies that Satan has passed scientific knowledge.

Now, to this list, you can add Jack Parsons, was one of the founders of the experimental rocket research group at Cal Tech, and the founder of Jet Propulsions Laboratory. When not working in his lab, Parsons was engaging in Black Magick sex rituals with a female demon, trying to produce a human/demonic child!

Now you know the real reason Satan loves his secret societies!

X. As this newsletter was being written, the Senate rejected an extension of the Patriot Act!

Before we begin this segment, please understand we have not reviewed this Senate action in depth. It is possible that a thorough review will produce some more surprises, and if that is the case, we shall come right back to you with that news. But, from the strength of this present news story, we offer this explanation.

First, the news:

NEWS BRIEF: "Senate Rejects Extension of Patriot Act", Excite News, December 16, 2005

"WASHINGTON (AP) - The Senate on Friday rejected attempts to reauthorize several provisions of the USA Patriot Act as infringing too much on Americans' privacy and liberty, dealing a huge defeat to the Bush administration and Republican leaders. In a crucial vote early Friday, the bill's Senate supporters were not able to get the 60 votes needed to overcome a threatened filibuster by Sens. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., and Larry Craig, R-Idaho, and their allies. The final vote was 52-47.

"President Bush, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and Republicans congressional leaders had lobbied fiercely to make most of the expiring Patriot Act provisions permanent, and add new safeguards and expiration dates to the two most controversial parts: roving wiretaps and secret warrants for books, records and other items from businesses, hospitals and organizations such as libraries. Feingold, Craig and other critics said that wasn't enough, and have called for the law to be extended in its present form so they can continue to try and add more civil liberties safeguards ... If a compromise is not reached, the 16 Patriot Act provisions expire on Dec. 31."

Sometimes, the give-and-take nature of the Dialectic Struggle makes it difficult to understand when the Illuminati takes one step back. You know that one of the infamous provisions of the Dialectic is "Two Steps Forward, One Step Back". According to this portion of the Plan, forward advance is always ensured because the one step backward is not nearly as much distance as the two previous steps forward. But, taking a step backwards is sometimes deemed necessary for a couple of reasons:

1) Perhaps the enemy has gotten fierce enough that the Illuminati decides a temporary retreat is in order, so that the enemy may feel they have won a great victory;

2) To enduce the enemy to relax their vociferous opposition;

3) To accomplish some other goal along the way.

To see how one or more of these reasons the Plan sometimes envisions taking a step backward in order to achieve more movement forward at a later date, let us go back to this featured news article.

"If the Patriot Act provisions expire, Republicans say they will place the blame on Democrats in next year's midterm elections. 'In the war on terror, we cannot afford to be without these vital tools for a single moment', White House press secretary Scott McClellan said. 'The time for Democrats to stop standing in the way has come'." (Iib.)

My blood ran cold when I read McClellan's statement: "In the war on terror, we cannot afford to be without these vital tools for a single moment".

If another terror attack occurs in an American city -- which is the Plan -- then the Bush Administration could point an accusing finger toward the Democrats, accusing them of allowing this terrorist attack to occur because they stripped the Patriot Act provisions out of the law books. If this type of action occurs, you can bet that, immediately after blaming the Democrats for allowing the terrorist assault, the Administration will demand, and probably get, an even more draconian dictatorial act than Patriot Act I.

Does this action make another terrorist attack on American soil more likely? No, because such an attack is already planned.

Further, you must understand that this Senate rejection of the original Patriot Act is in itself a planned event. Therefore, you have to ask why Democrats equally committed to the Plan have acted to vote against the Patriot Act. We believe it is possible that this vote will be seen as another event in the act of discrediting President Bush, a trend we have been viewing for almost two years now. This next segment speaks to that discreditation campaign.

"But the Patriot Act's critics got a boost from a New York Times report saying Bush authorized the National Security Agency to monitor the international phone calls and international e-mails of hundreds - perhaps thousands - of people inside the United States. Previously, the NSA typically limited its domestic surveillance to foreign embassies and missions and obtained court orders for such investigations."

" 'I don't want to hear again from the attorney general or anyone on this floor that this government has shown it can be trusted to use the power we give it with restraint and care', said Feingold, the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act in 2001. 'It is time to have some checks and balances in this country', shouted Sen. Patrick Leahy, ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. 'We are more American for doing that'." (Ibid.)

As we noted above, it is likely that President Bush is planned to be thoroughly and completely discredited, and maybe even taken out of office. If he goes down to complete and utter defeat, he will drag down with him the two institutions which the Illuminati fears the most: 1) National Sovereignty; 2) Christianity.
