SPECIAL Prayer Request From David, Mary And Danny Bay
June 18, 2008
Update on our twin Granddaughters, Julie and Alanna
Alanna had her heart tests yesterday at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, RI and we are very thankful and happy to tell you that her heart is normal in every way! Praise the Lord! Although Alanna was born with Polysplenia, she has none of the other defects that are usually seen. Julie has all of them, however. On July 1st, Julie will be seen by the surgeon and a date will be set for her surgery to correct her duodenum and to take out her appendix. We are praying that the Lord will give her heart strength to take her through her life or until some treatment will be available. For now, we are thankful that they are both healthy, growing and not in any kind of pain. Please continue to keep this family in prayer as there are still some hurdles to cross in the next few months with their finances. With gasoline costing well over $4 a gallon, it is costing our Son about $30 a day to drive to work and back in his little car. That is double over this time last year. But all in all, things are really going well. We are thanking God and are praising Him!
These pictures were taken on May 11th, Mother’s Day in the U.S.A. The girls were dedicated on that day.
Blessings from our family to yours,
David and Mary Bay

Update on Granddaughters, Julie and Alanna
Dear Friends and Family of Cutting Edge
We sincerely thank you for your prayers, gifts to Ryan and Marcia, emails, letters, cards and calls. We cannot possibly answer all of your emails although we really want to! We love you all for continuing to pray and ask about these beautiful little ones.
We are so pleased to tell you that at 2 months, Julie weighed 10 lbs. 8 oz. and Alanna weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz at their one-month point.
Alanna goes to the Children’s Hospital on May 1 for her gastro-intestinal tests. Please pray that all is well with her. She has her heart tests on June 17. Julie goes back to the surgeon on July 1. The surgery date will be set at that time to correct her intestinal problems, including removing her appendix, which is on the left side. Polysplenia causes all of the birth defects found in Julie (heart, bi-lateral left-sidedness, duodenum).
In the process of this, Ryan and Marcia are seeking to be first-time homebuyers as the lease on their tiny 550 square foot apartment is up June 30. They have lived in that same apartment for eight years, the last four of which they have raised little Isaac. Now, with Julie and Alana, they simply cannot live in this small of an apartment any longer. They desperately need more room and to be able to drive up to the door of either an apartment, rental home or purchased one. Apartments in Rhode Island are in very short supply and are expensive.
However, homes have declined in price so much that to purchase a home makes sense. There is a glut of homes for sale now because of the mortgage debacle in the United States; and, they have already been preapproved for a loan!
Please pray that they will find the place that the Lord wants them to have.
Danny and I may fly to Rhode Island in June as I have a buy-one, get one free airline voucher that expires on June 30. We were expecting Ryan and family to move here the last week of June and since that is not possible, we really want to see the babies and Isaac. Mary will fly up there to help out when Julie has surgery.
Again, we cannot thank you all enough for the outpouring of love for our family.
Please be in much prayer for all of us at this most difficult time.
May Jesus Richly Bless You,
David, Mary, and Danny Bay
