Al Qaeda’s Iraq wing claims to have abducted and killed three Arab women and a man working Baghdad’s Green Zone. An Internet site showed the pictures of the four identity cards. One woman was identified as a translator.
The body of Qusay Salahaddin, president of Mosul University students union, was found shot dead two days after he was abducted by gunmen. Dec. 21, Salahaddin led a campus demonstration charging fraud in last week’s general election. The charge was heard in mostly Sunni demonstrations continuing Sunday in Iraqi cities.
A US Abrams tank was blasted by a roadside bomb in eastern Baghdad Sunday. No casualties immediately reported.
