President Bush Nominates Rice As 66th Secretary of State

Dr. Condoleezza Rice, 50, is nominated 66th US secretary of state - first African-American woman to fill post. Her deputy Stephen Hadley replaces her as national security adviser.

Bush says she will represent US to the world with grace. He stressed positive new direction for solving Palestinian-Israel conflict through Palestinian state and securing “our good friend Israel.”
