Some Christians are sadly prone to look on the dark side of everything, and to dwell more upon what they have gone through than upon what God has done for them. Ask for their impression of the Christian life, and they will describe their continual conflicts, their deep afflictions, their sad adversities, and the sinfulness of their hearts, yet with scarcely any allusion to the mercy and help which God has vouchsafed them. But a Christian whose soul is in a healthy state, will come forward joyously, and say, "I will speak, not about myself, but to the honour of my God. He hath brought me up out of an horrible pit, and out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings: and He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God. The Lord hath done great things for me, whereof I am glad." Such an abstract of experience as this is the very best that any child of God can present. It is true that we endure trials, but it is just as true that we are delivered out of them. It is true that we have our corruptions, and mournfully do we know this, but it is quite as true that we have an all-sufficient Saviour, who overcomes these corruptions, and delivers us from their dominion.

In looking back, it would be wrong to deny that we have been in the Slough of Despond, and have crept along the Valley of Humiliation, but it would be equally wicked to forget that we have been through them safely and profitably; we have not remained in them, thanks to our Almighty Helper and Leader, who has brought us "out into a wealthy place." The deeper our troubles, the louder our thanks to God, who has led us through all, and preserved us until now. ---------- This Weeks Hot News ----------

I. Fox (FX) TV aired "Meltdown", a made-for-TV-movie on Sunday, June 6 and again Thursday, June 10, which confirms Cutting Edge teaching that our soldiers are being poisoned to death with Depleted Uranium (D.U.). This represents the first time that a major Mass Media outlet has publicly broken the story that Depleted Uranium is killing our soldiers. Prior to this TV movie, the only major news outlet to break the story of D.U. was The New York Daily News, when they tested nine soldiers returning from Iraq and discovered that four were already testing positive for D.U. contamination (NEWS1907).

Now, let us quickly review the story line of this movie.

Seven black-clad terrorists parachuted onto the San Juan Nuclear Power Station in central California. Easily do they capture the site from the woeful security force "protecting" the plant. Even though alarms are sounded before the terrorists can seize the plant, they easily turn back police units attempting to enter through the front gate, while other terrorists successfully seize all the plant, including the inner control room.

At first, the FBI agent on hand, Tom Shea, believes the terrorists are Muslim, since they speak Arabic, leave behind Muslim materials, and reference Allah in their public communications. However, Shea (who also fluently speaks Arabic) begins to pick up clues indicating that all factors do not correctly add up. Even the Arabic dialect spoken by the terrorists does not quite seem right.

Old-fashioned detective work on the ground locates the mistress to the head terrorist who reveals that his real name is Eddie Sands, a former Special Forces soldier in Afghanistan. This mistress informs Shea that Eddie is dying of a "syndrome" as he calls it, caused by uranium poisoning from American bombs! This "Eddie Sands" turns out to be Major Edward Sands, a much-decorated Delta Force commando. He and his entire seven-man team are dying from Depleted Uranium contamination which they caught because they fired D.U. munitions and spent much time in the contaminated battlefield known as Afghanistan.

The purpose of this commando take-over of the San Juan nuclear power plant was NOT to cause massive casualties, but simply to force public recognition of the dangers of Depleted Uranium munitions -- the raw material for which was taken from power plants like San Juan. These men are portrayed as patriots who are simply furious over the actions of military and government leaders in poisoning our soldiers in the first place, and then lying to them and the public in the second place.

Throughout this movie, the viewer sees how many times the government lies to the people and how callous about lying officials truly are. Even the Pakistani-born nuclear engineer who was in charge of the plant when the terrorists take over becomes angry as he sees news feed giving blatantly false scientific information to the people about the dangers of a meltdown. As the movie reaches its conclusion, eight people know the truth about Depleted Uranium and government lying who are not supposed to know. All eight of those people are killed by elite SWAT team members of the National Guard unit. One soldier and the Pakistani-born engineer are executed at point-blank range. They did not need to die -- but they knew too much.

Their deaths enabled the government to announce at the end of the siege that the terrorists had been identified as Muslim extremist fundamentalists who were part of a splinter group in The Philippines. This cover story held because the only eight people who could expose the false story were dead. All members of the government team who knew the truth were trusted insiders; they lived.

We have always said that THE most important story of the Afghanistan - Iraq war was that we were poisoning our own soldiers with our own munitions, and that we were poisoning the entire land and the people dwelling on that land. While this movie did not mention the poisoning of the Afghani people, it did clearly report that our own soldiers are being condemned to death by the very weapons they were called upon to employ. In fact, this movie depicted that 100% of the soldiers exposed came down with D.U. contamination. Listening to our expert medical and military advisers, Cutting Edge has held that this death rate is likely to be 7 to 8 out of 10.

We are gratified that a major Mass Media outlet has finally broken the story that Depleted Uranium munitions is killing our own soldiers. We hope the impetus will now build for more and more outlets to break this story, so the world can finally see that we have unleashed "silent nuclear war" against Afghanistan, Iraq, and the American patriotic soldier.

II. A recent article from The Independent from London reported that Iraqi children are now suffering terribly from D.U. munitions. We posted an article on this subject, NEWS1927, entitled, "IRAQI CHILDREN UNDER FAR WORSE CONDITIONS THAN UNDER SADDAM! DEPLETED URANIUM SICKENING THE POPULATION!!"

This Independent news article was the first we have seen which reported that the Iraqi population at large was being poisoned by D.U. Therefore, we have now seen two major news breaks on this most important subject in a very short time. Let us review some of the most pertinent excerpts of NEWS1927. Prepare to be shocked:

"NEWS BRIEF: "Rise in birth deformities blamed on Allies' deadly weaponry", By Nigel Morris, Independent.co.uk, 13 May 2004

"The number of babies born deformed and children suffering leukaemia have soared because of the 'deadly legacy' of depleted uranium shells used by British and American forces in Iraq ... the country's youngsters face a worse existence today than they did under Saddam Hussein's dictatorship."

Let us repeat the important phrase, just in case you did not get it:

Caroline Lucas, a Green Party Euro-MP who recently visited Basra, said doctors there told he that the number of children born with severe deformities, such as shortened limbs or eye defects, had increased sevenfold since 1991. In addition, they were treating several new cases of leukaemia every week -- before 1991, the condition was very rare."

" 'Women in Basra are afraid to become pregnant because there are so many deformed babies,' said Lucas 'We are leaving a deadly legacy for generations to come."

Since D.U. poisoning lasts for 4.5 billion years, Coalition Forces have polluted this part of the world for as long as God allows the earth to exist. Remember the warning given me last April by our medical doctor in a foreign army, trained in modern desert warfare: Depleted Uranium poisoning is likely to be so intense that, in a generation at the most, the land will be unlivable and will have to be abandoned.

In NEWS1927, we quote an Indian Admiral as saying that this poisoning has already been detected in the food and water chain in Iraq. This insidious process of rendering Iraq unlivable has most definitely begun. A humanitarian catastrophe is gradually unfolding, in our daily news.

III. In late May, the Bush Administration launched a full-scale offensive designed to extend our current exemption for war crimes, which was granted shortly before March, 2003, when we began our invasion of Iraq. In light of the Depleted Uranium poisoning issue, discussed above, should we be surprised that our leaders now are anxious to avoid global prosecution?

"UNITED NATIONS—The United States is pushing for a new UN Security Council resolution aimed at exempting its troops from prosecution for war crimes when they serve in any UN peacekeeping operations. If granted, the request would renew an exception first permitted in 2000 and grudgingly repeated by the world body in 2003. It comes as the international community is outraged at abuse, including torture, committed by US soldiers and other personnel against prisoners in a jail in occupied Iraq ... An Asian diplomat, speaking on condition of anonymity, told IPS he is confident the United States will exert enough pressure on Council members to get the resolution adopted ... The atrocities committed by US soldiers warrant war crimes prosecutions, according to some constitutional lawyers, but the United States cannot be brought before the International Criminal Court (ICC) because it has refused to accede to the Rome Statute that created the ICC ... the United States has concluded a series of bilateral treaties, including with nations that are party to the ICC, obliging states not to hand over US personnel to the world court."

Obviously, the Bush Administration is concerned that our soldiers and the men commanding them might be hauled before the International Criminal Court (ICC). The next story gives us some more information as to the progress of our demand for exemption from war crimes.

NEWS BRIEF: "UN Delays Vote Exempting U.S. From War Crimes Court", Wired News, May 21, 2004

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - A scheduled U.N. Security Council vote that would exempt U.S. peacekeepers from prosecution by a global criminal court was delayed from Friday until Monday at the request of China, U.S. officials said. But the Security Council will still conduct a public debate on Friday on the resolution, requested by nations who support the new International Criminal Court, the world's first war crimes tribunal ... The new court, the first permanent global war crimes tribunal, was set up to try perpetrators for the world's worst atrocities -- genocide, mass war crimes and systematic human rights abuses."

What worse atrocity can a nation deliver upon another than genocide which might reach 100% over the next generation? Truly, the spirit of Antichrist is loose in this world; can you hear the approaching footsteps of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

IV. Events occurring in Iraq are happening so fast as the June 30 "handover" date draws near. We shall examine several pertinent events.

A. Let us begin almost a week ago, the final Interim Governing Council which was selected received unanimous United Nations support.

NEWS BRIEF: "U.N. Endorses Iraq Sovereignty Transfer", by Edith M. Lederer, MyWay News, June 8, 2004

"UNITED NATIONS (AP) - The U.N. Security Council gave resounding approval Tuesday to a resolution endorsing the transfer of sovereignty to Iraq's new government by the end of June. President Bush said the measure will set the stage for democracy in Iraq and be a 'catalyst for change' in the Middle East. The unanimous 15-0 vote came after a last-minute compromise allowed France and Germany to drop their objections to the U.S.-British resolution ... The compromise gives Iraqi leaders control over the activities of their own fledgling security forces and a say on 'sensitive offensive operations' by the U.S.-led multinational force - such as the controversial siege of Fallujah. But the measure stops short of granting the Iraqis a veto over major U.S.-led military operations as France and Germany wanted. France's U.N. Ambassador Jean-Marc de La Sabliere said, however, that 'France cannot imagine that the multinational force would go against the opinion of Iraq's sovereign government'."

Once again, we can only remark how strange it is that President Bush would give even an impression that the new Iraqi government could demand that our troops leave Iraq after June 30. If a superpower can really be ordered out of a country they invaded without valid pretext, by a weak government, that superpower is finished. Further, if we cannot win this insurgency battle now, as our military officials admitted (story below), how much more hopeless are matters going to get if this weak Iraqi government can veto "sensitive offensive operations"?

Once we get beyond June 30, the Bush sleight-of-hand will become more obvious. For right now, we can only wait to see how matters are going to unfold.

B. Even with unanimous U.N. support, the Interim Iraqi Council is starting out on shaky ground.

NEWS BRIEF: "EDITORIAL: Iraq's shaky new start", The Toronto Star, June 11, 2004

"The United Nations Security Council may have given Iraq's new government a rock solid 15-0 endorsement this week, but the new regime in Baghdad is off to a shaky start. President Ghazi al-Yawer, a Sunni sheik, is popular, but a figurehead. The real power is held by Prime Minister Iyad Allawi. He's a Shia who once worked for Saddam Hussein, then turned against the Baathist regime ... As yet, al-Yawer and Allawi have scant legitimacy. They were selected, not elected, by Iraq's discredited outgoing council, itself installed by the U.S. ... U.S. President George Bush's plea fell flat at the Group of Eight summit for $120 billion in debt forgiveness for Iraq, plus more troops to shore up the regime. Iraqis will be lucky to see half that money, and a few extra troops. Still, a 'sovereign' Iraqi government can now take over June 30, with the world's blessing, ending the formal U.S. occupation and removing the pretext for a violent Iraqi resistance."

Do not believe, for a moment, that the establishment of this Interim Governing Council is going to "remove the pretext for a violent Iraqi resistance." The Iraqi insurgency views this council as a puppet of the American government and its individual leaders as traitors. Every single member of this council, and their staffs, are going to be targeted for assassination and intimidation by the insurgency.

We may see a brief lull in insurgency fighting until after June 30. If America's hands are going to be tied in any way, shape, or form by this United Nations resolution, the insurgency might just decide to lay low until after the official hand-over date. Then, we might just see a tremendous explosion in warfare.

C. American forces are curtailing their battle operations so they can prop up this new shaky Iraqi government.

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. Military Shifting Focus in Iraq", Fox News, June 11, 2004

"BAGHDAD — The U.S. military will consult Iraq's interim leaders before engaging in future offensives and is shifting its priorities from fighting guerrillas to training Iraqi troops and protecting Iraq's fragile new government, the U.S. general who heads military operations said Thursday. 'Combat becomes a lower priority than it has been for much of the insurgent fight to date', said Lt. Gen. Thomas F. Metz, who took command of the new Multinational Corps Iraq headquarters last month. Metz said American forces 'certainly have the right' under a U.N. Security Council resolution approved Tuesday 'to conduct operations as we would like to'. But decisions on U.S. operations will be made in concert with Iraq's incoming leaders, through liaisons sprinkled through coalition and Iraqi military units, Metz added."

This arrangement sounds a lot like the furious effort the Nixon Administration undertook to create and then prop up a South Vietnamese government, army, and police units so we could have the fig leaf cover necessary to exit the country after the 13 year war was to end. If you remember well, we cooperated with the South Vietnamese in much the same manner, only to see our effort smash to the ground only months after our last soldiers left. When the North Vietnamese Army launched her final offensive, South Vietnam collapsed like a house of cards.

Likewise, expect the same scenario here. The only question remaining is how long the Interim Iraqi Government will last against the insurgents, especially if the Interim Government consistently vetoes American military operations against insurgency warfare. When the insurgency possesses the provable capability to assassinate Iraqi Government members, how stridently pro-American do you think these council members are going to be? They are likely to object to so many offensive operations that the total military picture might just get ugly in a hurry.

D. After repeatedly declaring that Saddam and his entire Baath Party were so corrupt they all had to go, the Bush Administration has now been caught placing about 12,000 former Baath Party members in power throughout the country.

NEWS BRIEF: "Former Baath members to return to public service", Middle East Online, June 10, 2004

"BAGHDAD - More than 12,000 former members of Saddam Hussein's Baath party are in the process of reintegration into public service a year after losing their jobs under a now abandoned policy of punishing loyalists of the ousted regime, a senior official said Thursday. In a backtrack on its once hardline stance, the so-called National De-Baathification Committee ... reinstated the public servants. When US overseer Paul Bremer arrived in Iraq one year ago, he issued a decree expelling all senior Baathists from the administration and dissolving the armed forces.'

Once again, we witness the dissolving of one more reason given for our invasion. After declaring that Saddam's Baath Party was just as evil as he was, we are now bringing 12,000 of them back into positions of leadership throughout Iraq? Are we simply handing Iraq back to Saddam's people? The only difference I can see is that Saddam's tight secular hold has given way to a fundamentalist Muslim control over the country.

E. Christians are beginning to flee Iraq before the June 30 handover date!

NEWS BRIEF: "Christians Begin Exodus From Iraq", by Ken Joseph Jr., Insight Magazine, June 8, 2004

"The long-predicted exodus of Christians from Iraq has begun. Facing a June 30 deadline for transfer of power, a temporary constitution that reads, in Article 7, that Islam is the 'Official Religion of the State', and the most recent humiliation for the community -- the failure to receive even one position on the Executive Council and only one ministry post, the Ministry of Emigration -- the Christians of Iraq are voting with their feet ... Most of the Christians in Iraq are Assyrians -- people who claim to be the original inhabitants of Iraq. The Assyrians were the people of Nineveh -- present-day Mosul -- the city to which God sent the biblical Jonah. Because they are Christians and seen as allies of the West, the Assyrians have long been subject to persecution ..."

We should not be too surprised at this turn of events. After all, American officials have long bent over backwards to placate Muslims, even to the point where we have ignored the plight of other religious groups. Additionally, if our military is admittedly locked in a stalemate against a radical Muslim insurgency, Christians must be getting very uneasy as to their future in Iraq.

Finally, when the prison torture and sexual degradation scandal broke, most Muslims in the region saw this affront as coming from a Christian American President on a "Crusade" to invade and forcibly remake Iraq into his own image. Last week, we reported that some Muslim prisoners were tortured in the name of Jesus! Iraqi Christians undeniably suffered a tremendous loss of credibility. Our local church enthusiastically sent missionaries into Iraq soon after the Fall of Baghdad, and we fervently prayed that the Holy Spirit would begin a mighty work amongst the Iraqi Muslim community.

What damage has this prison scandal done to these efforts? I find it not surprising to hear that many Christians are leaving Iraq prior to June 30

F. In addition to supposedly handing over "full sovereignty" to the Iraqi Government on June 30, American officials are desperate to hand over the prison system as well.

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. Wants Quick Handover of Its Prisons in Iraq", By Vicki Allen, Wired Magazine, May 18, 2004

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States will hand control over military prisons in Iraq to a new Baghdad government as quickly as possible, U.S. officials said on Tuesday ... But Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz and Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage said there was no timetable for transfer of the prisons, where sexual humiliation and physical abuse by U.S. forces have sparked international outrage ... Sen. Barbara Boxer, a California Democrat, described a photo from the prison that she said haunted her of 'a beautiful Iraqi woman who is staring into the camera with dead eyes and then in the next shot she is lifting her blouse and she is exposing her nudity to the camera with the same dead eyes'."

Given the international outrage to which America and her soldiers have been subjected because of this torture and sexual humiliation scandal, you can understand how our officials are anxious to transfer the problem to the local Iraqi police. Rather than subject our control of the military prisons to Congressional and/or U.N. control, it is much easier to just hand control to Iraqi police.

G. Senior military officers admitted that a military victory over the Iraqi insurgency was not possible.

"WASHINGTON - Fourteen months after reaching the zenith of their influence on US foreign policy with the invasion of Iraq, neo-conservatives appear to have fallen entirely out of favor ... In the past month, the neo-con retreat has turned into a rout, particularly as reports of Chalabi's coziness with Iran gained currency and, just as important, senior military officers indicated that a military victory over the Iraqi insurgency was not possible."

When you read the daily news reports of battles fought and soldiers lost, remember that Bush invaded Iraq on the basis of two lies -- Saddam had WMD and he was cooperating with bin Laden terrorists. Remember also that generals in the Pentagon warned Rumsfeld that twice as many troops were needed to win this war as he ultimately committed.

Now, the really somber news arrives from "senior military officers" -- we cannot win.

V. Israeli Prime Minister Sharon won both a narrow and a broad victory this week in the question as to whether to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza AND whether to forcibly remove "illegal" settlements located within the Palestinian population. One news story last week caught the ploy perfectly.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israeli Cabinet Approves Gaza Withdrawal, Delays Vote on Removing Settlements", By Ramit Plushnick-Masti Associated Press Writer, June 6, 2004

"JERUSALEM (AP) - Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's government on Sunday approved an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in principle, but a last-minute compromise with Cabinet hard-liners diluted the historic decision, leaving uncertain the future of 21 Israeli settlements. The wording of the decision was sufficiently vague to allow both Sharon and rebellious ministers from his Likud Party to claim victory. It deferred a political crisis, but did not resolve the deep divisions within Sharon's center-right coalition over the dismantling of settlements."

Did you see the ploy Sharon so deftly used to gain approval of his unilateral withdrawal from Gaza? He agreed to delay the vote as to whether the settlements were also going to be removed. By thus agreeing, Sharon gained historic approval to unilaterally withdraw from Gaza, thus "creating a new reality on the ground". Under this concept, the really important decision was to allow Israel to withdraw from Gaza. That approval was of paramount importance. Once that decision had been officially approved, the new reality would soon sink in, that the isolated settlements would absolutely have to come down. Once Israel has withdrawn from Gaza, the settlers now adamant that they not be removed will suddenly realize the overwhelming pressure the Palestinian population will be placing upon them; these outposts will then realize they are far more open to devastating terror attacks.

Since this is the reality, we are not surprised to hear quick pronouncements that, even though the settlement question had been delayed, the Israeli government was most definitely committed to carrying out the plan to remove all settlements. What caught the settlers by surprise was the quickness of the announcement of a new timetable for removal of settlements, a timetable measured in two months rather than 1 and 1/2 years.

NEWS BRIEF: "Annan offers international help in implementing pullout plan", By Moti Bassok, Haaretz Correspondent, Haaretz News, 11 June 2004

"Justice Minister Yosef Lapid said Friday morning that it is important to accelerate the implementation of the disengagement plan, while also alleviating settlers' concerns for the future."

Did you catch that pertinent phrase? "it is important to accelerate the implementation of the disengagement plan". In Sharon's view, the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza is inseparably linked to the forced removal of the settlers. Therefore, when the Justice Minister called for an "acceleration" of the process, that meant there would be an acceleration of the forced removal of the settlers. However, Israel is trying to sugarcoat this forced removal, as this next article reveals.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel offers cash to settlers as Sharon pushes Gaza plan", Associated Press, reprinted in Gulf News, 11 June 2004

"Jerusalem: The Israeli government plans to offer financial incentives, including cash advances, to Israeli settlers who leave the Gaza Strip voluntarily, officials said yesterday, in a sign that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon wants to complete much of the pullout well before a September 2005 deadline ... Sharon wants to dismantle all 21 Israeli colonies in Gaza as well as four in the West Bank by 2005. Earlier this week, the Cabinet approved the plan in principle, but in a compromise with hardliners, Sharon agreed to hold a separate vote before taking down settlements. However, a proposed withdrawal timetable obtained by The Associated Press showed that most preparations for dismantling colonies would be completed well before the next Cabinet vote, set for February."

Truly, Sharon is one smart politician! He gained support from various right-wing groups within his governing coalition for Gaza withdrawal by agreeing to put off an official vote on settlement removals. Then, having gained this new reality, he publishes a timetable for settlement withdrawal that is shocking in that it sets dates for settlement removal which are far sooner than any of his opponents realized. Another story captures the essence of this politician's "dirty trick" very well.

NEWS BRIEF: "Pullout time line sparks furor", by Herb Keinon, The Jerusalem Post, 9 June 2004

"Taken aback by the furor caused by the leak of a disengagement time line, senior officials in the Prime Minister's Office said Thursday that the final plan is still being worked on and needs to be approved by the security cabinet, and that all dates are tentative. The National Security Council on Wednesday presented the steering committee overseeing the disengagement with a working plan that included a number of dates, and also the possibility of advance compensation by August to settlers who express a willingness to leave their homes ... According to the plan, settlers will be given three different 'time windows' in which they can leave the Gaza Strip."

"According to the plan, Sharon is to bring the first stage of the disengagement plan – the evacuation of Kfar Darom, Morag, and Netzarim – to the cabinet for approval in February. The fourth and last stage is to be approved by July 2005. August 14, 2005 has been proposed as the last date for settlers to voluntarily leave. After this date, Gaza and the four northern Samaria settlements will be declared closed military areas and off limits."

When the IDF declares an area a "closed military area and off limits", that means no Jewish citizen will be allowed to go into the area: Period.

At this time, the physical separation of the populations will be nearly complete. The Security Fence should be completed by then, which will further shut off Palestinian from Jew. Once this population separation is complete, the stage is likely to be set for the outbreak of Regional War and the annihilation of the "House of Esau", the Palestinians, both in Israel and in Jordan. VI. Former President Ronald Reagan passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004. The nation immediately went into mourning as Americans remembered the most charismatic President since John F. Kennedy, and perhaps of all time.

"Ronald Wilson Reagan, the 40th president of the United States, died Saturday at his home in California. He was 93 years old and had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease. 'My family and I would like the world to know that President Ronald Reagan has passed away after 10 years of Alzheimer's disease at 93 years of age', Former First Lady Nancy Reagan said in a statement. 'We appreciate everyone's prayers'."

"In Paris, White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan said President Bush was notified of Reagan's death in Paris at about 4:10 p.m., EDT, by White House chief of staff Andy Card. Bush offered his condolences to Reagan's widow shortly thereafter ... The United States flag over the White House was lowered to half staff within an hour."

At a moment like this, most people tend to forget specific policies, accomplishments and failures, to remember only the personae of the man. Whatever you may think of Ronald Reagan as a President, he was extremely charismatic. When he spoke, personal charisma just poured forth into his audience. Since he was so very likable even his enemies liked him as a person. Listen now to evidence of this fact:

"Across the country Sunday, makeshift memorials to the former president blossomed. Americans came in droves to his birthplace and boyhood home in Illinois, to his presidential library in Simi Valley, Calif., to his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and to the mortuary's lawn. All day long there, mourners gently placed gifts to the Reagan family. They planted small U.S. flags in the ground and brought flowers, photographs, a cowboy hat -- even jars of jelly beans, Reagan's favorite candy. Some mourners stood on the lawn, bowing their heads in prayer near a cardboard sign that said, 'God Bless the Gipper'. A sailor in dress whites came to salute. This last paragraph seems to capture the essence of the depth of feeling for this President held deeply within the heart and soul of probably a majority of Americans. On Friday, June 11, President Reagan was memorialized in a formal ceremony at the Washington National Cathedral. The Cathedral was packed and the ceremony was Mainline, formalized Christian, with overtones of Ecumenism. After the moving memories provided by the ceremony, President Reagan's body was taken to its final resting place. A breaking news story captures some of the essence of this moving service.

"WASHINGTON (AP) - In a final hail to the chief beneath marble arches and somber skies, the nation bade a lingering good-bye to Ronald Reagan on Friday, mourners remembering his 'lightness of spirit' and his stoic widow placing a tiny kiss on his casket before the westward journey to a hilltop grave. A stately service at Washington National Cathedral dropped the curtain on a week of American majesty, with dozens of world leaders, the four living ex-presidents and lifelong friends as witness. 'Ronald Reagan belongs to the ages now', President Bush said in his eulogy, 'but we preferred it when he belonged to us'."

"The service drew a large contingent of foreign guests, including 25 heads of state or government, 11 former leaders and more than 180 ambassadors and foreign ministers ... "Ronald Reagan does not enter history tentatively - he does so with certainty and panache," said Mulroney, who shared Irish ancestry with Reagan and once sang 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling' with him on stage. 'At home and on the world stage, his were not the pallid etchings of a timorous politician. They were the bold strokes of a confident and accomplished leader'. Thatcher praised Reagan for facing the world's greatest challenges with 'almost a lightness of spirit'. President Bush said Reagan's convictions 'were always politely stated, affably argued and as firm and straight as the columns of this cathedral'."

It seems fitting that we end our discussion here. While I am keenly aware of Reagan's role in the molding of the world so the New World Order could be established, that discussion can await another day. For now, it is enough to say "good-bye" to the only politician I have ever liked as a person. He was so likable, he disarmed his opposition. Our country will probably never see another equally charismatic leader.

VII. The much-anticipated late June meteor strike was revealed last week as a hoax.

He has posted at BushCountry.org a series of messages detailing his work over the years as an astronomer, and warning of the impacts to come this month: '18th-20th June: Impact 1; 24-25th June Impact 2; 26th-27th June 'anomaly'. He has included supposed computer printouts that look convincingly like computations of object tracking and estimated time of arrival information. He has woven together a tale of governmental cover-up and intimidation, and has warned everyone to get their affairs in order, for the end is near ... 'Aussie Bloke' has successfully fooled many people. How long will it be before a group of terrorists will use the internet to spread hysteria as part of a larger, more carefully orchestrated plan to disrupt our way of life?"

All during the week, we received numerous emails from readers asking how we stood on this meteor strike, and what "our take" on it was. From the beginning, we were skeptical, for we could not verify any of these reports with hard data. However, what troubled the Cutting Edge team the most was that we could not see any Biblical prophecies foretelling a meteor strike before Antichrist arises.

While the Illuminati Card Game does have a "Meteor Strike" card, we noted in our article, NEWS1859, that the only instance in prophecy we could find which seems to be a meteor is in Rev 8:10-11.

Because we could not match up this supposed major event with Bible prophecy, we held off making any statements. You see, Cutting Edge has a philosophy which comes from the old-time Maritime industry, a philosophy which has guided us well throughout the years. In the "olden" days, when a Mariner was bringing a ship into port, he would line up three (3) physical marker points. He would keep his ship moving on a straight line formed by these three points. He knew he could not rely on only two points, for two points can be lined up incorrectly. Three points kept him firmly on line and brought the ship safely into harbor.

Likewise, Cutting Edge has always attempted to line up every event, both planned and carried out, according to three (3) major points:

Whenever we read or hear of an event supposedly planned to produce Antichrist, we line that event up with Bible Doctrine and Bible Prophecy. Using this methodology has caused us to reject many occult plans; just as God allowed Adolf Hitler to achieve only a fraction of the plans he had for Germany and the world, so also will God only allow those plans which are consistent with Doctrine and Prophecy. Further, we could not find any New Age writings which talked of a meteor strike before "The New Age Christ" arises.

This supposed meteor strike did not line up.

VIII. Why has the U.S. Navy suddenly dispatched 10 of its 12 carrier attack groups to the open sea last week? This sudden flight from port to open sea is historically unprecedented and caused many people to ask, "Why"? This event made most people's list of weird things that are supposed to happen in June. Since one of the reasons to suddenly put a naval attack carrier group to sea may be to have the ships out of the harbor should a large natural disaster occur, people believed that this sudden departure strengthened the possibility of a meteor strike.

Let us begin with a look at the official explanation.

NEWS BRIEF: "Huge Navy deployment to test emergency plan: Seven carriers among dozens of ships to sail", By James W. Crawley, SignOnSanDiego.com., June 3, 2004

"Seven aircraft carriers – more than half the nation's flattops – along with several dozen escort ships and about 40,000 sailors will be at sea starting this week for the first demonstration of the Navy's emergency deployment plan. Known as Summer Pulse 04 ... The seven carriers – virtually every aircraft carrier that can sail – will be at sea during all or part of the exercise, which ends in August."

How significant is this sudden deployment?

"Central to the new operating plan is the Navy's ability to 'pulse' or 'surge' its aircraft carriers to one or more trouble areas simultaneously. The plan says the Navy will deploy up to six carrier strike groups within 30 days of receiving orders and, within 90 days, two more carrier groups. So, in three months, according to the plan, the Navy could have two-thirds of its carriers steaming near a war zone. Not only will the Navy be coordinating the movement of several dozen ships around the world, but also keeping them supplied simultaneously with everything from aircraft spare parts to fuel to food."

This is the official Navy response and it does make sense. However, when you consider that the number of American carrier groups deployed has risen to 10, further questions arise.

"This brings the number of carriers over the horizon to 10. This would prove to be a most COSTLY exercise if in fact this is ONLY an exercise. OR, are they all on emergency operational deployment? Of the remaining 2 carriers only USS Nimitz is deployable, as the USS Eisenhower is having its nuclear power plant refueled and will be out of commission for several years ... Notice how the article (SignOnSanDiego.com) says that the seven carriers deployed represent every carrier that is seaworthy. When in reality there are now 10 carriers at sea. Completely unprecedented." [Emphasis was in the original]

If these 10 carrier groups have gone to sea in an unprecedented maneuver, and they are not there to avoid a meteor strike, what are they doing? Certainly, the official Naval explanation sounds reasonable; however, in this era of forced "Regime Changes" of "Non-Functioning States" (NEWS1833), we wonder if these carrier groups are not heading for distant locations offshore of some "Non-Functioning States". Listen as we quote the original article from the Naval War College on which NEWS1833 is based. You can then form your own opinion.

According to Illuminist thinking, there are only two types of nations in the world today:

In NEWS1906, we further revealed that President Bush is using Special Forces assigned to the U.S. Embassy in "Non-Functioning States", to set the stage for a coup or an assassination which would change the regime's leadership. These S.F. soldiers would operate with Diplomatic Immunity because they were officially part of the Embassy Staff.

Now that you understand the principle of why America, Great Britain, and the European Union are invading all these Third World Countries, let us examine a most informative statement by this author of the Naval War College article.

"Any time American troops show up -- be it combat, a battle group pulling up off the coast as a 'reminder', or a peacekeeping mission -- it tends to be in a place that is relatively disconnected from the world, where globalization hasn't taken root because of a repressive regime, abject poverty, or the lack of a robust legal system. It's these places that incubate global terrorism. Draw a line around these military engagements and you've got what I call the Non-Integrating Gap ... So where do we schedule the U.S. military's next round of away games? The pattern that has emerged since the end of the cold war suggests a simple answer: in the Gap." [Page 174, 176; Emphasis added]

Are these 10 carrier groups on their way to effect some more "Regime Changes" so America can "take real ownership of their strategic security"? Only time will tell, but we must remain alert.

IX. Republican leadership on Capitol Hill has quietly inserted inflammatory language into a "Hate Crimes" bill which may well make it illegal for a Christian to state his opinion of homosexuality based on the Bible! We have watched in horror as this same kind of bill recently passed in Canada (NEWS1858), believing that we probably had a few years before such a condition faced us in American. The fact that we do not have a few years seems to indicate that a general "quickening" of events is underway.

NEWS BRIEF: "U.S. Hate Crime Bill Could Criminalize Biblical Truth, Pro-Family Spokesman Fears", By Bill Fancher and Jenni Parker, May 27, 2004, American Family Association

"(AgapePress) - A controversial hate crimes bill has been resurrected on Capitol Hill -- this time under Republican leadership. The Culture and Family Institute (CFI) says the legislation is being pushed by the homosexual lobby ... Two U.S. Senate Republicans have introduced the new legislation, the language of which is virtually the same as that in an earlier attempt by liberal lawmakers to put a hate crimes law on the books -- an effort that was defeated. However, this newly introduced bill would attach 'sexual orientation' to the language of the previous bill ... Even though this bill is sponsored by Gordon Smith and Orrin Hatch -- both Republicans -- it's really the old Kennedy hate crimes bill that's been resurrected. And it's a very dangerous bill, because it adds 'sexual orientation' to hate crimes law, and it greatly expands federal jurisdiction."

We have always taught that there is "not a dime's worth of difference between Republican and Democrat", and this event confirms that analysis. Members of both parties are equally committed to the establishment of the ungodly New World Order. In this instance, we have just discovered that there is no difference between a Kennedy and an Orrin Hatch -- and that is staggering news to a great many undiscerning people.

However, the risk from this bill does not stop at the "'sexual orientation" language.

"Also, the pro-family spokesman is concerned that the proposed law would require law enforcers to give priority to investigating and prosecuting crimes against homosexuals."

Therefore, if the police do not have the resources necessary to investigate and/or prosecute a crime against a heterosexual plus a crime against a homosexual, this bill may require them to devote their resources to the homosexual case.

But, the horror goes still further.

"Another major worry is that the hate crimes bill proposed by Smith and Hatch, if passed, will put the First Amendment rights of Christians at risk, making them subject to prosecution simply for expressing biblical views about the homosexual lifestyle. Knight notes that such a bill has already been approved by lawmakers in Canada, where he fully expects it to 'muzzle public discussion of homosexuality and even someday silence pastors' ... The Canadian bill does contain a religious exemption in the 'hate speech' section of Canada's Criminal Code. But in a recent news release, the Christian Coalition Inc. of Canada (CCIC) noted that the exemption places the burden of proof on the accused and is too vague and open to interpretation to serve as an adequate defense against charges of hate speech." Any time in world history where the burden of proof falls upon the accused -- to where he must prove himself innocent -- gross injustices have occurred. The situation got so bad in England that our Founding Fathers specifically designed American jurisprudence so that the accuser must prove the guilt of the accused, and not the other way around.

What did Jesus foretell would occur in society at the End of the Age?

America has become a new Sodom. Last year, the Supreme Court legalized Sodomy (NEWS1830) and just a few weeks ago, Massachusetts legalized same-sex marriages. Now, Christians are threatened with a "Hate Crimes" bill designed to further the influence and power of the homosexual lobby on the one hand while silencing dissent from the Christian on the other hand.. We are truly at the End of the Age.

Beloved, in fighting with sin without and within, with error doctrinal or practical, with spiritual wickedness in high places or low places, with devils and the devil's allies, you are waging Jehovah's war, and unless He himself can be worsted, you need not fear defeat. Quail not before superior numbers, shrink not from difficulties or impossibilities, flinch not at wounds or death, smite with the two-edged sword of the Spirit, and the slain shall lie in heaps. The battle is the Lord's and He will deliver His enemies into our hands. With steadfast foot, strong hand, dauntless heart, and flaming zeal, rush to the conflict, and the hosts of evil shall fly like chaff before the gale.
