Starting in the first week in August, Chris Pinto will begin shooting testimony from several key expert witnesses. Since Presidents Washington and Jefferson are so well known, Chris has to try to find an actor who looks similar to popular pictures of these two Founding Fathers. Chris has found such an actor for Washington, but is still looking for one who looks like Jefferson.

Gideon ordered his men to do two things: covering up a torch in an earthen pitcher, he bade them, at an appointed signal, break the pitcher and let the light shine, and then sound with the trumpet, crying, "The sword of the Lord, and of Gideon! the sword of the Lord, and of Gideon!"

This is precisely what all Christians must do. First, you must shine; break the pitcher which conceals your light; throw aside the bushel which has been hiding your candle, and shine. I. Israel continued to escalate her war with the Palestinian militants, especially Hizbullah in Lebanon. The objective became quite plain, and it was what we stated last week, i.e., to decimate the war-making capability of the Palestinian militants.

Let us review the war action. You will see that Israel's bombardment is fierce.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel masses tanks, troops on Lebanese border: Hizbullah militants fire at least 11 rockets at Haifa", Chronicle News, July 21, 2006

"BEIRUT, Lebanon — Israel massed tanks and troops on the border today and warned civilians to flee Hizbullah-controlled southern Lebanon as it prepared for a likely ground invasion to set up a deep buffer zone. Hizbullah militants fired at least 11 rockets at Israel's port city of Haifa, wounding five people. Israeli warplanes pounded Lebanon's main road link to Syria, collapsing part of Lebanon's longest bridge. A U.N.-run observation post near the border was hit, but no one was hurt .... After 10 days of the heaviest bombardment of Lebanon in 24 years, Israel appears to have decided that a large-scale incursion is the only way to push Hizbullah back."

"The Israeli ground forces massed on the border were preparing for a limited incursion in the near future, military officials said ... As sunset approached, long lines of tanks, troops, armored personnel carriers and bulldozers lined up on a two-lane highway in northern Israel ... An Israeli military radio station warned residents of 12 border villages in southern Lebanon to leave before 2 p.m. today ..."

"Top Israeli officials met Thursday night to decide how big a force to send in, according to senior military officials. They said Israel won't stop its offensive until Hizbullah is forced behind the Litani River, 20 miles north of the border — creating a new buffer zone in a region that saw 18 years of Israeli presence since 1982. Israel has stepped up its small forays over the border recently, seeking Hizbullah positions, rocket stores and bunkers. Each time it has faced tough resistance.

"Israeli warplanes fired missiles that partially collapsed a 1.6-mile suspension bridge linking two steep mountain peaks, part of the Beirut-Damascus highway in central Lebanon. The bridge has been hit several times since the fighting began ... Renewed attacks struck the ancient city of Baalbek, a major Hizbullah stronghold."

Interestingly, Baalbek is supposedly the birthplace of the pagan god, Baal. For those familiar with Old Testament Scripture, God railed again and again against Israel's persistent love of Baal.

As we continue with this featured article, we see that Hizbullah is hitting back.

"Air raid sirens wailed in Haifa, Israel's third-largest city, and at least 11 rockets struck in two barrages. Five people were wounded, with 23 treated for shock. More rockets were fired elsewhere into northern Israel, the army said, with strikes reported in Rosh Pina, Safed and in several communities near the Sea of Galilee. Hizbullah has fired hundreds of rockets from the Lebanese border since fighting began, forcing Israelis into underground shelters. Eight people in Haifa were killed July 16." (Ibid.)

Even a United Nations military observation post was hit, supposedly by Israeli fire.

"A U.N. official, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said an artillery shell fired by the Israeli military made 'a direct hit on the U.N. position overlooking Zarit'. An Israeli military spokesman said the rockets were fired by Hizbullah guerrillas at northern Israel. The differing accounts could not immediately be reconciled."

In recent days, Mass Media has published stories touting the desirability of UN peacekeepers to be sent to the region to separate Israel and the Hizbullah. Even Russia stated that she would be willing to send such troops. The reality is that this trial balloon was "dead upon arrival" from the beginning, because Israel has discovered the hard way that such peacekeepers are worse than being ineffective -- they are dangerous impediments to solving any problem.

Since Hizbullah has deeply buried their most dangerous military stocks -- including their arsenal of rockets -- ground troops are necessary to locate all underground bunkers and destroy them with sophisticated charges. Therefore, it is no surprise that IDF ground forces are being sent in.

Because an extended ground offensive is in the making, Israel began calling up reservists, probably in the skilled positions she requires for this type of operation.

NEWS BRIEF: "Israel calls up several reserve battalions", Reuters News, July 21, 2006

"JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel's army on Friday ordered several battalions of reserves to report for duty, the Israeli YNET news Web site reported, as signs grow that the army might be preparing for a ground invasion of southern Lebanon. The army was not immediately available for comment. One battalion can comprise up to 1,000 soldiers."

When Israel begins to call up its Reserves, that is a sign that an extended ground operation is planned. Toward this effort, an Israeli general warned his troops that the operation might be a long one.

NEWS BRIEF: "IDF Chief Halutz Warns His Soldiers: Fighting may last a long time", YNET News, July 20, 2006

"Senior Israeli officials have said that the operation in Lebanon is not limited in time, Washington provided a 'green light' to continue the operation, and the IDF chief of staff has began preparing the soldiers and the public opinion for an extended operation. In a special and first letter to Israel Defense Forces soldiers since the fighting in Lebanon broke out, and since the beginning of the current confrontation in the Gaza Strip – Lieutenant General Dan Halutz wrote to his soldiers: "The State of Israel is in the midst of fighting against radical Islamic terror organizations, who deny Israel's right to exist and who are sponsored by Iran and Syria, whose goal is to harm Israel's sovereignty."

"The fighting intensified because of the blatant provocation by Hizbullah and Hamas who carried out terror operations in Israel's sovereign territory during which IDF fighters were injured and killed and Corporal Gilad Shalit, and reserve soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped. We are responsible for defending the independence and safety of our country and the safety of its citizens', Halutz said. 'The fighting in the north comes in addition to the fighting in Judea and Samaria and the Gaza Strip and is meant to last a long time; he said."

We have said for the past week that Israel must destroy the war-making capability of all Palestinian terror groups -- of which Hizbullah is the most powerful -- before Prime Minister Olmert can begin to withdraw from the West Bank. Everything Israel is now doing seems consistent with this long-range goal. During the time of the West Bank withdrawal, Israel may maintain a deep buffer zone on the Lebanese border -- up to 20 miles deep, if the above story any indication.

But, for now, she must locate and destroy all Hizbullah weaponry and supplies.

II. Israel even tried to assassinate the head of Hizbullah, Nasrallah, and his entire leadership cadre!

NEWS BRIEF: "Nasrallah's Exact Fate Unknown: Israel Air Force fighter planes dumped 23 tons of explosives on a bunker believed to be housing the senior Hizbullah leaders -- Attempted assassination of Hizbullah leaders, Israel National News, 20 July 2006

"Israel Air Force fighter planes dumped 23 tons of explosives on a bunker believed to be housing the senior Hizbullah leaders Wednesday night ... According to intelligence received by the IDF, the bunker, located in the Bourj al-Barajneh area of southern Beirut, housed the terror organization’s most senior leadership. The intelligence was considered sufficiently reliable to justify a massive attack at around 8 PM, and another one at 11 PM. Dozens of planes took part in the attacks, and the building was totally destroyed."

Hizbullah denied that this building was being used by its top leadership.

"Following the attack, Hizbullah released a statement via its Al-Manar TV broadcasts that the building was no more than a mosque under construction, and that the Hizbullah leadership was untouched. IDF sources say it is possible that the above is true, given the depth of the bunker under the building. However, even if so, it is felt that keeping the charismatic Hizbullah leader Sheikh Nasrallah trapped or leashed to an underground bunker - either the one that was bombed or another one - is also an achievement."

Now that Nasrallah knows that he is a target of the IDF, his ability to effectively lead might be compromised over the long term.

This next segment speaks directly to the fact that Hizbullah has constructed deep, well-fortified bunkers. You can now understand why Israel must send ground troops if she hopes to totally and thoroughly destroy these numerous bunkers.

"A senior IDF officer told Arutz-7's Kobi Finkler that Hizbullah has 'dozens or more fortified bunkers along the border with Israel. The IDF will employ various means to find the bunkers, some of which have in fact been hit over the past few days'. The officer said that the bunkers are dug to a depth of up to 40 meters (130 feet), and include 'stocks of weapons and ammunition, as well as communication equipment for giving orders'." (Ibid.)

As Israel prepared to order her ground forces across the border, she warned Lebanese residents to evacuate.

"In the meantime, the IDF continues Arabic broadcasts urging residents of southern Lebanon to evacuate the region, in order to avoid being targeted in the war against Hizbullah terrorists. Reports continue to indicate that Hizbullah is working to prevent the southern Lebanese area residents from traveling north; Hizbullah needs the civilians where they are to serve as their human shields." (Ibid.)

Israel has always carried out "targeted assassinations" of Palestinian terrorist leaders, so this massive attack on Nasrallah should not be that shocking. All Palestinian terror groups have been hard hit by the repeated loss of their well-trained, well-motivated and experienced leadership over the years Israel has been carrying out this tactic. The loss of Nasrallah would hurt the terror group immensely.

Predictably, UN's Kofi Annan demanded an immediate ceasefire, a demand heard loudly and often from beleaguered Arabs hunkered down in "harm's way". Just as predictably, American and Great Britain refused to put any pressure on Israel.

III As we concluded in our Headline News article posted this past week, the major powers -- led by the United States and Great Britain -- are providing diplomatic protection for Israel's devastating military campaign.

NEWS BRIEF: "Britain and US defy demand for immediate ceasefire: Superpowers provide diplomatic cover for Israeli attacks", The Independent (U.K.), 21 July 2006

"Israeli warplanes continued their bombardment of Lebanon yesterday, defying a demand by Kofi Annan for an immediate end to fighting on the ninth day of a war that has led to the 'collective punishment of the Lebanese people'."

This statement must have come from an Islamic propaganda room, for this military operation is not necessarily intended to punish the Lebanese people, per se, but to eradicate the ability of Hizbullah to wage war.

"Two countries, the US and Britain, defiantly refused to back the international clamour for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hizbullah guerrillas ... Mr Annan, the secretary general of the United Nations, used his emotive statement to the Security Council to reflect the deep-seated international unease about the human cost of Israel's response to the onslaught of rockets from Hizbullah guerrillas backed by Syria and Iran. 'What is most urgently needed is an immediate cessation of hostilities', he said. However, he added that there were 'serious obstacles to reaching a ceasefire, or even to diminishing the violence quickly'." (Ibid.)

"An official close to the secretary general said he had taken soundings with 'everyone' before making the statement. Mr Annan was also due to brief the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, last night on the findings of a UN mission which concluded there should be a temporary cessation of hostilities ... The statement was sharply criticised by Israel and the United States. In London, the Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett, told the Cabinet that those calling for a halt to hostilities, including the French government, were in effect demanding a one-sided ceasefire 'with rockets still going into Israel'."

"Using similar language, the Israeli ambassador to the UN, Dan Gillerman, said: 'The first thing that must be addressed is cessation of terror before we even talk about cessation of hostilities'. John Bolton, the American ambassador, said: 'As we've said repeatedly, what we seek is a long-term cessation of hostilities that's part of a comprehensive change in the region and part of a real foundation for peace, but still no one has explained how you conduct a ceasefire with a group of terrorists'." (Ibid.)

As we have stated beforehand, when President Bush strongly backed Israel's "right to defend herself" by launching this attack, we must realize that backing from the Superpower before the invasion means that the Superpower and her influential friends are working to not only allow Israel the time to carry out her destruction of the military capabilities of the Palestinians, but they are also working to keep this conflict limited to just the Palestinians. In other words, President Bush and his colleagues on the European Continent are working to ensure that Israel's attacks do not cause the governments of Syria, Jordan, and Egypt to enter the fray.

For then, Regional War would be underway -- before Israel has withdrawn from the West Bank.

This next news story illustrates just how much pressure the United States is putting on the Palestinians, how much she is supporting Israel, and how much she is using her military and diplomatic power to keep the conflict contained so that Syria, Jordan, Iran, and Egypt do not get involved.

NEWS BRIEF: "US to deliver 'smart bombs' to Israel: US is rushing deliveries of precision-guided munitions to Israel", YNET News, 22 July 2006

"Washington - Smart bombs on the way: The Bush administration has complied with Israel's request for an expedited delivery of satellite and laser-guided bombs, the New York Times reported Saturday. The newspaper reported that the decision could anger Arab countries who have accused Washington of giving Israel the green light to push ahead with its offensive against Lebanon ... The delivery is part of a multimillion-dollar arms sale deal signed between Washington and Jerusalem last year, which Israel can draw on as needed.

"But US officials said the arms delivery is not similar to that supplied by Washington to Israel during the Yom Kippur War of 1973, which helped Israel gain momentum against the attacking Arab armies. Estimates are that Israel needs a large number of precision-guided bombs to bombard Hizbullah bunkers with little collateral damage ... last year's agreement included 100 precision-guided bombs weighing two and a half tons each. The bombs are used to destroy underground concrete bunkers. Israel is eligible to purchase 'bunker buster' bombs capable of penetrating underground Hizbullah bunkers. The bombs can be fitted on F-15 jets."

Obviously, the value of this urgent arms delivery goes beyond the pure military value; this type of arms delivery signals to Syria, Jordan, Iran, and Egypt that America is guaranteeing Israel's survival and success in this current military operation, and that any Arab nation should simply get out of the way.

As we said from the beginning of this conflict, America and Great Britain are acting to limit the scope of this war, keeping it from becoming a Regional War.

IV. As is the case in the Iraq conflict, Iran may turn out to be the major Arab winner from this conflict. Already, Hizbullah has used Iranian missiles to inflict casualties amongst the Israeli Defense Force.

NEWS BRIEF: "Conflict might increase Iran’s influence in region", The State, July 21, 2006

"CAIRO, Egypt — The shocking flare-up of Mideast violence really might be, beneath it all, a fight about Iran and its place in the region. While Israel, the United States and some Arab countries hope the Islamic regime suffers a blow, Tehran might count on emerging from the crisis with its power intact and its influence even broader. Many analysts in Iran and abroad believe Tehran remains firmly at the helm of all important Hizbullah decisions, including last week’s cross-border attack that touched off the worst fighting in 24 years.

The most open "secret" recently in the Middle East is that Iran and Syria have been providing Hizbullah with arms, expertise, and money.

"So far, the battleground has been limited: Lebanon being hammered by Israeli aircraft, and Israeli cities pounded by missiles of the Iranian-supported Hizbullah guerrilla movement. But the underlying struggle is between Israel and others who view Iran as a threat that must be confronted, and Iran and its allies within Lebanon, Syria and even Iraq ... All that means the fighting could last a long time. Iranian officials often say that places with the greatest troubles offer their country the best opportunities. For instance, Iranian influence in Iraq has surged since the U.S.-led invasion three years ago, and its reach into Afghanistan continues to grow. Now, the fighting in Lebanon could make Iran an even more important player in the Islamic world."

Do you remember the "Lighting Many Fires" concept which Iranian leadership was spreading to the Islamic world in late March, 2003, even as Coalition Forces were crossing the Iraqi border? Cutting Edge posted an analysis article in early April, 2003, pointing out that Iran was the only Islamic nation in the Middle East which had a coherent policy as to how to defeat the Americans in Iraq.

Let us examine the pertinent details of that Headline News Article, NEWS1910, entitled, "HAS IRAN 'IGNITED MANY FIRES' TO SET OFF MIDDLE EAST REGIONAL WAR?"

"'The American Great Satan will never accept an Islamic system. It is coming to Iraq to complete its encirclement of our Islamic Republic before it moves against us ... UNLIKE THE accommodationists who foresee an easy American victory, the confrontationists believe that US involvement in Iraq could become 'the beginning of its end.' He explains:

" 'Iraq is a swamp', Khamenei said in his address to the guards. 'The Great Satan will get caught in that swamp; and that will speed up its inevitable collapse'. In a recent article Velayati spelled out a strategy aimed at 'confronting the Great Satan in a number of fronts.' "

He then spelled out those "number of fronts".

With the possible exception of Azerbaijan, Iran has successfully confronted Coalition Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, Iran can only believe that this overall plan has to be working in Israel, as well. Today, untold numbers of millions of Islamic militants throughout the Middle East are now looking to Iran as their great hope of defeating Israel and America. After all, since America has proven so inept in Iraq, Muslims throughout the world can only cheer Iran onward as her forces quietly work behind the scenes to thwart Israel in this conflict.

V. Rocket Defense is again in the news, and propaganda again appears to be the order of the day. Limited systems are discussed as though they represent the latest technology, when Scalar Wave Technology remains the "Real Deal".

NEWS BRIEF: "Lasers: Israel's Rocket Defense?", Defense Tech, 7/18/2006

"It was, perhaps, the most successful laser gun in the history of energy weapons. Now, it could just prove to be the key to Israel's defense. Maybe. In the early part of this decade, the Israeli and American militaries worked with Northrop Grumman to build the Tactical High Energy Laser, or THEL. During tests at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, the chemical-powered energy weapon blasted out of the sky 28 Katyusha rockets -- just like the ones now assaulting Israel. Another 18 artillery shells and mortars were successfully zapped, as well. No other laser has ever come close to building up that kind of track record."

" 'All my career, I've been interested in fielding lasers', Jeff Sollee, a veteran Northrop laser scientist, told Defense Tech earlier this year. "THEL was as close as they come'."

While this type of defense system sounds great, it does have some drawbacks.

"But generating the THEL's megawatts of laser power required hundreds of gallons of toxic chemicals — ethylene, nitrogen trifluoride. The weapons grew bulky; one proposed small-scale version was supposed to be kept in a mere eight cargo containers, each 40 feet long. A mobile THEL, on just a couple of trucks, proved to be too complex, and too expensive to contemplate. Worse, after a few shots, the lasers would have to be resupplied with a fresh batch of reactants. The logistics of hauling those toxins either through the air or across a battlefield made generals shiver. Israel eventually dropped out of the program. Then America did, too, turning its focus instead to solid-state, electric lasers."

"Now, Northrop is pushing an upgraded THEL, under the name SkyGuard. The system is being pushed for airport defense, to keep jetliners safe from shoulder-fired missiles (kind of like this microwave-based missile-zapper from Raytheon I reported on last year). But 'Northrop executives have pitched [the] laser system in meetings with Israeli officials, including Defense Minister Amir Peretz', the Wall Street Journal reports. 'Based on Israel's expression of interest in the laser technology, he said, Northrop has begun the process of applying for an export license'."

"SkyGuard is about a quarter the size of the original THEL, although not much smaller than the eight-container proposal. Northrop claims that the system's exhaust is mostly helium and steam, and requires a 'keep out zone' of only 30 meters, Aerospace Daily notes. The price: maybe $200 million, plus $1,000 per shot."

"Raytheon is also pitching Israel on air defense, too -- but not the microwave system. A few years back, the company began modifying its Phalanx 4,500 round-per-minute gun, originally designed for ship defense, to knock down mortars. The WSJ says that 'six batteries currently are deployed in Iraq'. And from the reports I've heard, the Phalanxes are performing rather well, with several confirmed kills. Presumably, the systems could be shipped to Israel in fairly short order. The laser-based Skyguard is still very much on the drawing board, however. So Israel would still have to wait quite a while for its speed-of-light defense."

Tesla Dome

All this is nothing but propaganda, for Israel has a 100% effective missile shield, should she choose to implement it. Firing a missile to physically hit an incoming missile has been described in the past as a "bullet hitting another bullet" in mid-air. Of course, that is an impossible task, just as it has been virtually impossible to hit an incoming missile with another missile. When you understand that real-life missiles fired under battlefield conditions will possess defensive capabilities to deter any missile shoot-down, the concept of hitting a missile with a missile will become very impossible.

But, yet that is the only anti-ballistic missile system America is said to possess, and will be the anti-missile system which will be shown to fail once North Korea launches her missiles as she acts out her plan in the World War III scenario (Read NEWS1781, "NORTH KOREA HAS 100 NUCLEAR WARHEAD ARSENAL AND INTERCONTINENTAL BALLISTIC MISSILES TO DELIVER THEM TO NEW YORK CITY!"]

We submit to you that this story is akin to the "sleight-of-hand" magician who gets the viewer to look underneath the wrong shell, while the object is really under a completely different shell. In this instance, the Israeli people are being encouraged by these bogus tests to look under the wrong "shell", while the real anti-missile capability lies in a completely opposite direction, under a far different "shell".

The real capability which protects Israel and the United States from incoming missiles and air craft with this Tesla Dome Shield (shown above) -- a capability Israel certainly has because she possesses scalar wave technology, according to LTC Bearden in "Oblivion: America At The Brink". This drawing illustrates a Tesla Dome being erected over a modern city, in this case, Atlanta, Georgia. You will discover that no fleet should sail if its scientists cannot deploy an effective Tesla Dome; no army should march and no air force should deploy without this protective Dome.

Let us pick up Bearden's explanation:

"On 12 November 1986, the Soviets even placed a giant 'dummy shield' (practice) over Atlanta, Georgia. If the shield had been real and not just practice, any aircraft and missiles flying into it would have been instantly exploded and destroyed. That mode -- 'bottling up' a strategic weapons area -- is useful to nullify an entire strategic ICBM launch complex or a large bomber base, etc. It can also 'bottle up' a large carrier task force at sea, including the aircraft and the Tomahawk missiles, the shells from the naval guns, etc. With a real shield, aircraft or missiles flying into it (from inside or from outside) explode and are destroyed."

Further, if Russia were to erect a Tesla Dome over Tehran or over the entire country of Iran, for example, none of our weapons could penetrate to reach the targets! You can see that any weapons system today must move under the protection of a Tesla Dome. In other words, the Dome must always march overhead and around the naval ships, the aircraft, and the armies moving toward their destination. As you can imagine from this artist's recreation, a Dome can be made to continuously move with the aircraft, at the speed of the aircraft, so it will always surround the plane. The fact of the matter is that the Dome can move at the speed of modern aircraft, or it can remain fixed and static over an entire target location -- even if it is around an entire continent!

You see, the vast power to operate such a Scalar Dome is drawn from the very core of the earth. The same power source is also used to create and steer hurricanes with Scalar Wave technology.

In discussing the terrible effects of a huge Tesla Dome, we read further:

"As shown ... two scalar hemispherical surfaces are created, using multiple frequency transmitters and truncated Fourier series expansions. Interference of the two scalar hemispheres creates a great, glowing hemispherical shell of ordinary electro-magnetic energy. In the shell, the energy density is sufficient to lift Dirac matter from the Dirac Sea of vacuum. The shell is thus filled with a glowing plasma."

The enormous energy required to form such a defense shell is obtained by a 'scalar power tap' into the molten core of the earth itself, as previously explained. Therefore, Israel does not need to be able to hit a missile with a missile, for no missiles can penetrate into her entire national airspace, should she decide to utilize her Scalar Wave system! Can you see how this ridiculous story, above, is conditioning people to look in the wrong direction so that they would be totally incapable of knowing the truth? Knowing the truth about missile protection is going to be critically important as the world spins toward the end of the preparatory period which will culminate in the appearance of the Masonic Christ (Antichrist).

Of course, Israel cannot afford for her people to know this technology exists and is in place, for terrorist rockets are raining down upon their heads even as we speak. These terror rockets are being allowed to come through right now, because PM Olmert and the leadership of the IDF need people to feel the terror that these rockets do bring to a civilian population, because they will then back the government more completely and, once the crisis is "solved", will be the more likely to support the government in whatever it decides is in Israel's best interests, i.e., a complete and unilateral withdraw from the West Bank.

VI. Russia and China are said to be back-tracking on their commitment to Western powers to bring meaningful pressure on Iran to stop her nuclear enrichment process.

"July 20 (Bloomberg) -- China and Russia may be reneging on commitments to demand that Iran stop enriching uranium, a British diplomat said after giving the United Nations Security Council a resolution threatening the Islamic nation with economic penalties for refusing to comply. 'We have seen this happen before with China and Russia,'' U.K. Deputy Ambassador Karen Pierce said. ``They think that if they can row back a bit, why not try'?''

"Pierce said she was concerned about remarks by Russian Ambassador Vitaly Churkin that he's in no hurry to adopt a UN resolution on Iran and with Russian proposals that would delay adoption of the measure ... Chinese and Russian foreign ministers agreed at a July 12 meeting in St. Petersburg with their U.S., U.K. French and German counterparts to a statement pledging to make it ``mandatory'' that Iran stop enriching uranium. In the event of non-compliance, the statement said they would adopt a measure that invokes the UN Charter's authorization of economic penalties and the severance of diplomatic relations. Iran says its enrichment program is for peaceful purposes."

However, the Russians recently began to sing a different tune.

" 'We are not in a rush at all',' Churkin told reporters after a meeting yesterday on Iran with the U.S., U.K. France and China. 'We are giving some freedom to Iran to respond. We do not want to dictate things to Iran'.''

As we have stated time and time again, Russia and China are truly friends of Iran on this issue and will do everything in their power to keep the world body off Iran's political back. After all, Iran is doing nothing illegal in pursuing uranium enrichment capability, for that is allowed under international protocols.

And, our readers know that the nuclear weapons development charge is sheer falsehood, for Iran has possessed nuclear weapons since at least early 2002 (Read NEWS1660; "MUSHROOM CLOUDS IN THE MIDDLE EAST?" Part 2)

VII. Are the Iraqi Insurgents preparing a Vietnam-style Tet Offensive against Baghdad? An American general seems to think so. In fact, given the progress insurgents have been making against Coalition Forces, a major ground action on the lines of a Tet Offensive seems a logical action to undertake.

NEWS BRIEF: "Baghdad bracing for assault", Times Union, July 21, 2006

"BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Bombings and shootings soared by 40 percent in the Baghdad area in the past week, the U.S. military said Thursday. An American general said extremists were preparing 'an all-out assault' on the capital in a decisive battle for the future of Iraq ... U.S. military spokesman Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said there had been an average of 34 attacks a day involving U.S. and Iraqi forces in and around the capital since Friday -- up sharply from the daily average of 24 registered between June 14 and July 13."

"Caldwell said insurgents were streaming into the capital for 'an all-out assault against the Baghdad area. Clearly the death squad elements, the terrorist elements, know that Baghdad is a must-win for them', he said. He added, 'Whoever wins the Baghdad area, whoever is able to bring peace and security to that area, is going to set the conditions to stabilize this country'."

The general seems to be talking about a Tet Offensive style of battle for Baghdad. When the Viet Cong launched the Tet attack in March, 1968, they suffered annihilating losses, but they inflicted considerable casualties on American forces and set in motion the belief in America that the attack had successfully achieved the objectives set by the enemy. This battle was won by America militarily on the Vietnam battlefield, but was lost in the arena of public opinion back home.

Given the repeated successes of the Iraqi insurgency in the last three years, plus the falling popularity of President Bush, the time may be right to launch an offensive on the scale of the Viet Cong's assault in Vietnam in March, 1968. At first, the Viet Cong scored some success, especially against the South Vietnamese forces. Even the American forces were taken aback by the ferocity of the attack.

However, within a few days, American forces counterattacked and in the next few days dealt the Viet Cong a devastating defeat from which that guerilla group never recovered. However, the impression in the United States was far different than on the ground in South Vietnam. Even as the Viet Cong were laying dying in the dust of South Vietnamese cities, Americans back home believed that American and South Vietnamese forces had suffered a grievous loss, thus turning the tide of public opinion against President Lyndon Johnson and his war policy.

Could the same type of offensive be carried out suddenly, and without much warning, in Baghdad? Of course, it could. And, the result could be much the same as in Vietnam. An American victory on the battlefield may easily be portrayed back home as a defeat, sending President Bush's popularity ratings plummeting to politically fatal levels.

 

VIII. Islamic militants are attempting to completely eradicate black African peoples in the Sudan. This specter of death proves once again that Muslims are just as racist as any other group on earth.

"We're a group of ordinary citizens - students, professionals and work-at-home moms - who are trying end the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. We are determined to get 100,000 petition signatures asking President Bush to lead a multi-national peacekeeping force to Darfur. "President Bush, during your first year as President you wrote in the margins of a report on the Rwandan genocide 'Not on my watch.' We urge you to live up to those words by leading a stronger multinational force to protect civilians in Darfur."

While Cutting Edge does not want to propose any action which would strengthen the coming global government and military force, we do want you to be aware that Sudanese blacks face a concerted effort by Muslims to annihilate them simply because of the color of their skin. We do not often see this aspect of Islam; while we know of their absolute religious intolerance, most people are not aware of the inherent racism within Muslim ranks.

IX. Horror of All Horrors! American soldiers say they were under orders to kill all military age males during Iraqi operation.

NEWS BRIEF: "Soldiers say they were told to kill 'military age males' ", Chron.com News, July 21, 2006

"EL PASO - Four U.S. soldiers accused of murdering suspected insurgents during a raid in Iraq said they were under orders to "kill all military age males" ... The soldiers first took some of the men into custody because they were using two women and a toddler as human shields. They shot three of the men after the women and child were safe and say the men attacked them."

" 'The ROE (rule of engagement) was to kill all military age males on Objective Murray', Staff Sgt. Raymond L. Girouard told investigators, referring to the target by its code name. That target, an island on a canal in the northern Salahuddin province, was believed to be an al-Qaida camp. The soldiers said officers in their chain of command gave them the order.'

The "Chain of Command" gave the orders to kill all military age males -- that is a War Crimes statement. However, the Pentagon will vigorously deny this charge, claiming the Iraqi civilian deaths were caused by four out-of-control American soldiers who are now trying to justify their crime

Yet, one has to wonder if the Chain of Command really did issue those orders. Some intrinsic reason has caused the American military machine to kill 100,000 Iraqi civilians -- as of October, 2004. In the October 30, 2004, newsletter, paragraph VIII, we reported:

"About 100,000 Iraqi civilians - half of them women and children - have died in Iraq since the invasion, mostly as a result of air strikes by coalition forces, according to the first reliable study of the death toll from Iraqi and US public health experts. The study, which was carried out in 33 randomly-chosen neighbourhoods of Iraq representative of the entire population, shows that violence is now the leading cause of death in Iraq ... Last night the Lancet medical journal fast-tracked the survey to publication on its website after rapid, but extensive peer review and editing because, said Lancet editor Richard Horton, 'of its importance to the evolving security situation in Iraq'."

In light of this current news story, above, that American soldiers are claiming that they were under orders to kill all military age males, one has to wonder if this type of order is the real reason 100,000 Iraqi civilians were reported killed as of October, 2004? One can only guess how high that number is now.

As I stated earlier, this story is the stuff of which War Crimes charges are made.
