I. Damascus is rapidly being reduced to a pile of rubble

Is Isaiah 17:1 prophecy being fulfilled?

"One United Nations agency says life expectancy has plummeted by 20 years in the once-developed nation, while another new study based on nighttime satellite imagery finds that, in the past four years, 83 percent of the country's lights have gone off."

A view from a satellite reveals that, in the middle of the night, Syria is greatly darkened. Her people have literally experienced a "lights out" phenomenon. In large swaths of the country, Syria seems as dark as it was before electricity was even invented!

"In areas like Aleppo, where much of the populace has fled and infrastructure has been pulverized, researchers found that light has been reduced as much as 97 percent ... the nation's education system has collapsed and that the country is descending into poverty ... The problem is so enormous — former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright on Wednesday said, 'What is happening on the ground in Syria is a humanitarian and human rights catastrophe of the first order'..."

Please take a few moments to study the pictures above of the devastation to Damascus. You will see that significant sections in Syria's capital has been reduced to rubble, a "ruinous heap". And, the devastation is only going to get worse, because Syrian rebel forces have now pushed into a Damascus refugee camp and threaten President Assad's residence!

"Fighters from ISIS have a new base of operations just some 6 km from the residence of Syrian President Bashar Assad, after entering Yarmouk, a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus suburbs, amid reports of assistance from the Al-Qaeda-affiliates."

If Damascus suffers further devastation from this new offensive, she very well might suffer the kind of destruction to her infrastructure that is described of Aleppo, above. The prophecy of Isaiah 17:1 is that Damascus one day will cease being a city because she has been reduced to a "ruinous heap". Listen:

"The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." (Isaiah 17:1)

When God begins a pronouncement with the word, "Burden", He is signifying calamitous judgment. In this 'burden', God is foretelling that Damascus, the capital of Syria, will be reduced to a "ruinous heap", and shall cease being a city. This kind of devastation has never befallen Damascus. Archeologists call Damascus the 'longest continuously occupied city in the world". In its long, long history, Damascus has never, ever been so thoroughly destroyed that it has ceased being a city. But, certainly, in this grinding civil war, Damascus could be completely reduced to a "ruinous heap".

Christians have long believed that Isaiah 17:1 would be fulfilled when Israel counterattacked a Syrian attack. But, as these pictures attest, Damascus is being systematically reduced to a pile of rubble.

The other part of this prophecy is that Damascus will cease functioning as a city. When you see people leaving the city to the point of normal city functions grinding to a halt, you will know that Isaiah 17:1 is finally fulfilled.

II. The Kenyan gunmen who masterminded the Christian school massacre was the educated son of a government official!

This shocking reality demonstrates how thoroughly Islam has infiltrated Kenya!

NEWS BRIEF: "Kenyan massacre gunman was government official’s son", The Australian, April 6, 2015

"One of the gunmen who slaughtered 148 people at a college in Kenya last week has been identified as the law-school-educated son of a government official, underscoring the inroads Islamic extremists have made in recruiting young people to carry out attacks against their own country."

"Abdirahim Mohammed Abdullahi, who was killed by security forces on Thursday along with the three other militants who stormed Garissa University College, was the son of a government chief in Mandera County, which borders Somalia ... The chief had reported his son missing last year and feared he had gone to Somalia...."

There is no doubt that the Islamic attackers were determined to murder Christians.

"Somalia’s al-Shabab militant group claimed responsibility for the bloodbath, saying it was retribution for Kenya’s sending of troops to Somalia to fight the extremists. The attackers separated Christian students from Muslim ones and massacred the Christians."

In fact, the Muslim militants beheaded some of the Christians most brutally.

Once again, we must point out the prophetic nature of the violence in Central Africa, a violence that is planned to march southward all the way to the tip of the African Continent. Please see this picture, below.

As you can see, Kenya geographically falls into Supernation #8, in the Club or Rome Plan to reorganize the entire world into precisely 10 supernations.

Further, just as in Supernation #7, the major effort is to overthrow entrenched dictatorships in the region so that no dictator can resist surrendering national sovereignty once the regional government is implemented.

In fact, regional stability is to be eliminated, so that the targeted dictatorships will be easily topple. Thus, even though Kenya elects its officials, it is being targeted so as to destabilize the entire region.

Stability must give way to instability.

Just remember that the REAL goal of all the Islamic violence in Northern Africa / Middle East (Supernation #7) and in Central / Southern Africa (Supernation #8) is to eliminate all stability that might hinder the imposition of these two regional governments.

III. Christians in Middle East pray for better days on Easter

NEWS BRIEF: "Christians in Iraq and Syria celebrate Easter and pray for better days", Euro News, April 5, 2015

"Amid ongoing fighting all over Syria, Christians also celebrated Easter in Damascus. The country’s Catholic Patriarch, Gregorios III Lahham, called for war to end and peace to be installed in the region.

“ 'To the world I say: enough wars, enough killing and enough blood in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Yemen and Saudi Arabia and everywhere. Instead of weapons let us unite on one word. Let us be all in the flow of life and resurrection', Lahham said after Easter celebrations that took place in Zaitoun Church, in old Damascus, where Catholic Syrian Christians participated in the dawn mass."

Today, at a rate unseen for hundreds of years, Islamic hordes are descending upon Christians in murderous rampage.

This, too, is a sign of the End of the Age. We must look up, for our Redemption draweth nigh!
