NEWS BRIEF: "Libya on brink as protests hit Tripoli: Muammar Gaddafi's son warns of civil war", The Guardian (London), 21 February 2011

"Muammar Gaddafi's son went on Libyan TV to defend his father's 41-year rule of Libya as protests spread to the capital Tripoli. The most violent scenes so far of the wave of unrest sweeping the Arab world were seen as Gaddafi relied on brute force to crush what began last week as peaceful protests but now threaten his regime. After a bloody crackdown that saw troops and mercenaries shooting unarmed demonstrators in the country's second city of Benghazi, the death toll rose to more than 230."

Just as Egyptian President Mubarak initially resisted the protestors, the Gaddafi government resisted the forces coming against it.

"But the regime went on the attack when Saif al-Islam appeared on state TV to say it was a 'tragedy' that Libyans had died but warned of 'civil war' unless order was restored. 'There is a plot against Libya', said Saif, blaming 'an Islamic group with a military agenda' for the bloodshed in Benghazi. Libya would see 'rivers of blood', an exodus of foreign oil companies and occupation by 'imperialists' if the violence continued, he said."

This blustery talk reminds me of the proclamation by Saddam Hussein just prior to the U.S.-led invasion, as he called upon his troops to fight "the mother of all wars"! If this Libyan turmoil follows the Egyptian model, blustery talk will suddenly give way to feeble resignation and flight of dictator, Muammar Gaddafi.

Bahrain

NEWS BRIEF: "Clinton calls for restraint in Bahrain", China News, 21 February 2011

"U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton on Sunday called for restraint in Bahrain during a phone call with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal ... Clinton said the United States has welcomed steps by Bahraini Crown Prince Selman bin Hamad al-Khalifa to initiate a meaningful dialogue with 'the full spectrum' of Bahraini society.

"She hoped that 'Bahrain's friends in the region and internationally' will support this initiative as a constructive path to 'preserve Bahrain's stability and help meet the aspirations of all of Bahrain's people'."

Unless the exceedingly rich King removes his opposition to the loss of his national sovereignty in a new regional government, he will soon be counted among the removed strongmen!

Somalia

Thick smoke rose into the sky and human remains were scattered near the station, said officer Mohamed Abdi. 'If the car could have got deeper inside, there would be have been a big loss', Abdi said. The target was a training station for government troops..."

NEWS BRIEF: "Mogadishu minister seized in Somaliland", Africa Review, 2/21/2011

"The authorities in the self-styled republic Somaliland have reported arresting a deputy minister of Somalia’s Transitional Federal Government ... The self-made republic prohibits officials from the rest of Somalia to enter its territory. The authority in Somaliland declared independence from Mogadishu on May 18, 1991 following the collapse of the dictatorial regime of General Mohamed Siad Barre ... "

Algeria

NEWS BRIEF: "Algerian police break up crowd at pro-reform rally", Excite News, 2/19/2011

"ALGIERS, Algeria (AP) - Algerian police thwarted a rally by thousands of pro-democracy supporters Saturday, breaking up the crowd into isolated groups to keep them from marching. Police brandishing clubs, but no firearms, weaved their way through the crowd in central Algiers, banging their shields, tackling some protesters and keeping traffic flowing through the planned march route."

"The gathering, organized by the Coordination for Democratic Change in Algeria, comes a week after a similar protest, which organizers said brought an estimated 10,000 people and up to 26,000 riot police onto the streets of Algiers ... Saturday's march comes as the pro-democracy fervor sweeping the Arab world is gaining ground, moving from neighboring Tunisia and Egypt, where longtime autocratic leaders were forced from power, to protests in Yemen, Bahrain and Libya."

"Authorities have promised to lift a 19-year-old state of emergency - that outlaws public gatherings in the capital, Algiers - by the end of February."

Senegal

NEWS BRIEF: "Man dies after setting himself on fire in Senegal", Excite News, 2/19/2011

"DAKAR, Senegal (AP) - A man who set himself on fire in front of the presidential palace in Senegal on Friday died from his wounds hours later in the latest self-immolation on the African continent ... A private radio station said the man was a soldier and that he was wearing his military fatigues when he set himself on fire. This self-immolation comes on the heels of similar protests in Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria and Senegal's neighbor to the north, Mauritania."

Mali and Niger

NEWS BRIEF: "French ask volunteers in Mali, Niger to leave: Due to the growing threat of kidnappings by an offshoot of al-Qaida", Excite News, 2/18/2011

"BAMAKO, Mali (AP) - The French government is asking citizens who are volunteering for charity organizations in Mali or Niger to leave immediately due to the growing threat of kidnappings by an offshoot of al-Qaida ... The government's request indicates that the terror group's reach is growing. Although large sections of the Sahara desert including the portion stretching across northern Mali and Niger has been considered too dangerous for foreigners for some time."

Djibouti

NEWS BRIEF: "Protesters in Djibouti rally to replace president", Excite News, 2/18/2011

"NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Authorities used batons and tear gas against thousands of protesters in the tiny nation of Djibouti on Friday, the latest in a series of rallies modeled after demonstrations across Africa and the Middle East ... About 6,000 people turned out at the demonstration, but only about 3,000 remained by the time authorities showed up, according to Democracy International citing an observer."

"President Ismail Omar Guelleh has served two terms and faces an election in April, but critics lament changes he made to the constitution last year that scrubbed a two-term limit from the nation's bylaws. Guelleh's family has been in power for more than three decades, and Friday's rally was aimed at getting him to step down."

This is the common denominator: strongmen rulers who have ruled for a very long time are under this pressure to step down so their nation can meekly submit to the coming scripted regional government. Where is Djibouti and why is it so important?

American Defense Secretary Gates again admitted that American troops were going to be withdrawn; he just did not know how quickly and in what numbers.

"Defense Secretary Robert Gates said the Pentagon does not yet know how many troops will draw down from Afghanistan this year. Though most of the $42 billion drop can be attributed to the pullout from Iraq, Gates said the DOD is not taking chances ... 'But that’s not to say that we will have 98,000 troops at the end of FY12. NEWS BRIEF: "Teenager dies, 39 hurt in fresh clashes in Iraq's Kurdistan", CNN News, 2/21/2011

"Baghdad (CNN) -- A teenage boy was killed and 39 people were wounded Sunday evening when hundreds of demonstrators clashed with Kurdish security forces in Sulaimaniya in northern Iraq ... Most of the demonstrators opposed Massoud Barazani, Kurdistan regional president, and the ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party."

"Saturday's protesters shouted ' Down, down with Massoud Barzani' in a demonstration that began at 11:30 a.m. and lasted several hours."

NEWS BRIEF: "12 killed, 18 wounded in Iraq's Samarra suicide bombing", China's English News, 2/21/2011

"TIKRIT, Iraq, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The death toll of a suicide car bomb attack targeting Iraqi security forces in Samarra city of Salahudin province on Monday rose to 12, with 18 others wounded ... The attack occurred in the morning when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden car into a military base belonging to a quick reaction police force in northern Samarra, some 110 km north of Baghdad..."

The target of the blast was Shi'ite.

"The attack hit the police force tasked with protecting Shiite pilgrims who usually come to the Sunni-dominated city of Samarra to visit the al-Askari shrine. The shrine, which contains the tombs of Ali al-Hadi and Hisson Hassan al-Askari, the 10th and 11th of the Shiite's 12 most revered Imams, was visited by Shiite pilgrims from all over the world."

Ivory Coast

NEWS BRIEF: "Ivory Coast police open fire on crowd", Excite News, 2/20/2011

"ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AP) - Witnesses say security forces fired on protesters for the second consecutive day in Ivory Coast's biggest city, following a call for an "Egypt-style" uprising to depose sitting president Laurent Gbagbo. The witnesses say military police encircled a group of supporters of Alassane Ouattara in the Abobo district of Abidjan on Sunday afternoon, before opening fire. There were reports of several injured, though their numbers could not be independently verified."

"An African Union delegation is due to arrive Monday to attempt to find a resolution to the crisis. Gbagbo is refusing to cede power even though results certified by the United Nations showed Ouattara had won the Nov. 28 election. Ouattara's prime minister has called on supporters to rise up like in Egypt."

Uganda

NEWS BRIEF: "Uganda president wins new term; opposition rejects", Excite News,

"KAMPALA, Uganda (AP) - Uganda's longtime president has won another term, the country's election commission said Sunday, but the top opposition leader alleged the election was fraudulent and vowed to reject the results. The electoral commission said Sunday that President Yoweri Museveni won 68 percent of votes in Friday's poll, allowing him to extend his 25-year hold on power. The commission said challenger Kizza Besigye took 26 percent of the vote."

"Besigye has previously threatened Egypt-style protests if the results are not in line with what he and his supporters believe the true returns are."

Madagascar

NEWS BRIEF: "Ousted Madagascar president barred from returning: Ruling strongman dictator refusing to let him come home", Excite News, 2/19/2011

"JOHANNESBURG (AP) - Madagascar's ousted president was on Saturday barred by officials in his homeland from returning from exile in South Africa, but the politician told reporters at Johannesburg's airport that he would keep trying to return ... The democratically elected Ravalomanana has been in exile in South Africa since being ousted in a 2009 military-backed takeover led by Andry Rajoelina, a former disc jockey turned Antananarivo mayor. Rajoelina has been shunned by the international community and has so far rejected attempts by South Africa and other neighbors to mediate a solution that would restore democracy. Rajoelina has refused to allow Ravalomanana to return."

This "undemocratic" strongman ruler will have to step down in order to meld easily into Supernation #8, Tropical Africa!

Kenya

NEWS BRIEF: "Kenya's President insists on rejected nominees", Africa Review, 2/21/2011

"Kenya was headed for a deadlock Friday as President Mwai Kibaki came out strongly in defence of his controversial nomination of four top State officers. Addressing a news conference over Speaker Kenneth Marende's rejection of the nominations, President Kibaki said that his action was 'within the law', but pointed out that he will await the decision of the Constitutional Court."

"Raila also allayed fears that the country was on the brink of collapse as a result of the ruling that termed unconstitutional President Kibaki’s nominations of Alnasir Visram as the Chief Justice, Githu Muigai as Attorney General, Kioko Kilukumi as the Director of Public Prosecutions and William Kirwa as Controller of Budget."

Imagine that! Another nation on " the brink of collapse".

The greater the destabilization of each country within this region, the easier it will be to create Regional Government #8, Tropical Africa!

Cameroon

NEWS BRIEF: "Cameroon rebels release 11 local government hostages", Reuters Africa, 2/18/2011

"YAOUNDE (Reuters) - Kidnappers have released all 11 local government officials taken hostage in Cameroon's oil-rich Bakassi Peninsula region earlier this month, the central African state's government said on Thursday ... The hostage-taking was suspected to be the work of a local rebel group called the Africa Marine Commando (AMC). The AMC is a splinter faction of the Bakassi Freedom Fighters group, which is seeking compensation on behalf of Nigerians compelled to leave the Bakassi Peninsula after the disputed land was handed over to Cameroon in 2008."

III. Even some secular media recognize this scripted "popular unrest" as being the creation of the United States and Europe!

This media even understands that Regional Government leading to Global Government is the ultimate goal!

This media just does not see Bible prophecy being fulfilled!

DVD III. Do Bo rn Again Christians love Israel more than do the Jews?

How is this even possible? The Book of Hebrews may provide the answer.

NEWS BRIEF: "See who likes Israel more than the Jews!", By Bob Unruh, World Net Daily, 2/20/2011

"A new survey reveals literally hundreds of millions of Americans have a strong affinity for Israel and believe the U.S. should intervene if Israel is attacked by Iran. The poll for WND by Wenzel Strategies also documents that Christians, especially those who describe themselves as born-again believers, largely hold stronger feelings regarding Israel than do Jews."

When I first read this story, I was in shock. How could Born Again Christians have stronger feelings for Israel than the Jews themselves? Immediately, I sought answers, specifics. These areas are the ones in which more Born Again Christians felt about a particular subject than did Jews:

* "To the question, "Agree or disagree: Israel is a flawed nation-state like others but remains, as the Bible says, the apple of God's eye," while 22.4 percent of those affiliating with the Jewish faith said they strongly agreed, 60 percent of those who identify as born-again Christian responded that they strongly agree. Another 21 percent said they somewhat agreed."

Therefore, 81 % of Christians believe that Israel is still " the apple of God's eye"!

* "Fifty-eight percent of the Jews said they agreed with the statement that the U.S. does not provide enough moral support to Israel, but more than 62 percent of the born-again Christians held that view."

* "Thirty-nine percent of the Jews believe the U.S. is undermining Israel by pushing a Palestinian state, while almost 56 percent of the born-again Christians believe that."

* "Fifty-one percent of the Jews believe the U.S. should make support of Israel the primary plank in Middle East policy, but more than 72 percent of born-again Christians hold that perspective."

* "Some 22.4 percent of the Jews believe the U.S. will be judged by God according to the way it treats Israel, but 2 of 3 born-again Christians agreed with that statement."

I find no problem believing this fact, since Fundamental Christians are far more likely than secular Jews to literally believe Biblical injunctions about Hell and God's Judgment. Furthermore, Christians revere the New Testament, believing that it fulfills the Old and that the Old Covenant under girding the Old Testament was completely replaced by the New Covenant of Jesus Christ (Read full details in the Book of Hebrews).

Listen to one specific passage in which the Holy Spirit revealed to the Apostle Paul how and why the Old Covenant was slated to be abolished, replaced by a superior New Covenant under Jesus: (Hebrews 8:6-10; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary)

"But as it now is, He [Christ] has acquired a priestly ministry which is as much superior and more excellent than the old as the covenant (the agreement) of which He is the Mediator (the Arbiter, Agent) is superior and more excellent, because it is enacted and rests upon more important (sublimer, higher, and nobler) promises. For if that first covenant had been without defect, there would have been no room for another one or an attempt to institute another one."

"However, He finds fault with them, showing its inadequacy, when He says, Behold, the days will come, says the Lord, when I will make and ratify a new covenant or agreement with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant that I made with their forefathers on the day when I grasped them by the hand to help and relieve them and to lead them out from the land of Egypt, for they did not abide in My agreement with them, and so I withdrew My favor and disregarded them, says the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

Finally, Paul provides the clincher:

"When God speaks of a new [covenant or agreement], He makes the first one obsolete (out of use). And what is obsolete (out of use and annulled because of age) is ripe for disappearance and to be dispensed with altogether." (Hebrews 8:13; Ibid.)

But, while the New Testament reveals God's Mercy and Grace to a lost and dying mankind, Jesus taught more of Hell and God's Judgment than any other person in the entire Bible. Christians who study the New Testament and who believe it literally are more aware of Hell and Judgment than a Jew who simply depends upon the Old Testament for the totality of his understanding of God's nature.

* "While 55.2 percent of Jews believe Americans should be very concerned about Israel's national security, that figure was 71.1 percent for born-again Christians."

Since the beginning of Modern Israel in May, 1948, American Christians have been a backbone of support upon which the Israeli State depended. Numerous Israeli Prime Ministers have openly courted support of American Christians. During the time Chris Pinto and I were researching material to complete the series, "Secret Mysteries of America's Beginnings", I believe God raised up a Christian America as the major tool by which Israel was returned to her land against all historic odds.

But, Christians need to realize that Israel was returned to her land in 1948 "without spirit" (Ezekiel 37:8d), just as this prophecy declared. Jews are foretold to be deceived into believing that the coming Masonic Christ is their national Messiah, only to discover he is Antichrist. Two-thirds of the Jews will be killed by Antichrist before Jesus returns at Armageddon.

This is the Israel Christians should be looking toward, realizing that the only way in which this kind of Israel can be realized is if she is never annihilated by her many enemies.

Summing up, Fundamental, Born Again Christians should be expected to be the strongest supporters of Modern Israel!
