I. Foreign military intervention is underway, following a United Nations Security Council authorization.
Just as we said last week, the military intervention in Bahrain established the precedent that it is acceptable to intervene in these types of conflicts. We said last week that Libya was probably going to be the next country to suffer military intervention.
NEWS BRIEF: "Gadhafi compound hit as Libya strikes go on", CTV News, March 21, 2011
"A cruise missile smashed into an administrative building inside Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's compound in Tripoli overnight Sunday, as international forces kept up their military bombardment ... Explosions and anti-aircraft gunfire had erupted in the Libyan capital earlier in the night, signaling another round of coalition air assaults."
Military strikes by cruise missiles and fighter aircraft began just hours after the UN Security Council voted to authorize the military intervention to force Gaddafi from power. Countries contributing to this military attack were said to be the United States, Canada, Great Britain, France and Italy. the Arab League, which had urged such military intervention before the UN meeting, suddenly backtracked and opposed the action!
"The military operation began overnight Saturday to enforce a UN Security Council resolution ... The resolution authorized a no-fly zone above the North African country and allowed UN members to use "all means necessary" to prevent attacks on civilians."
The Arab League complained immediately that these foreign attacks were also killing civilians. Meanwhile, Gaddafi started arming civilians.
"Despite the international pressure, Gadhafi pledged Sunday to continue fighting. In a phone call to Libyan state television, he said his weapon depots had been opened up to allow civilians to arm themselves against the outsiders. 'We promise you a long war', Gadhafi said. "
The Western powers have the military capability to force Gaddafi out of office in a matter of hours or days; therefore, if this war turns into a "long war", it is because that is the Plan. The Pentagon is claiming that the operation thus far is a success.
"During a press conference at the Pentagon on Sunday afternoon, U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Bill Gortney said naval ships had launched 124 cruise missiles at military installations along the Libyan coast, followed by air assaults from French, British and American fighter jets and bombers against Gadhafi ground forces and air defences. Gortney said the initial assault had been 'very effective in significantly degrading the (Libyan) regime's air defence capability', including its ability to launch some surface-to-air missiles.
" 'We now have the capability to patrol the airspace over Libya, and we are doing just that', he told reporters."
The Western coalition attacking Libya is said to be growing.
"Military forces from Spain, Belgium, Denmark and Qatar are joining the military operation under U.S. command, Gortney said, but a coalition of countries would take over command in the coming days."
In this operation, the United States is performing like a member of an international team, not as the head of the operation.
Finally, this operation thus far is in perfect accord with the strategy known as "The Pentagon's New Map". A strongman standing in the way of his nation melding into Regional Government #7 of the Club of Rome Plan is being forcibly removed!

The "No-Fly Zone" which Western Allied Forces imposed over Libya Saturday became more of a regional zone today!
NEWS BRIEF: "Libya no-fly zone to soon reach 1,000 km - Now A Regional No-Fly Zone", Reuters News, March 21, 2011
"The U.N.-approved no-fly zone over Libya is expanding and will soon cover a 1,000-km area as aircraft from additional coalition countries arrive in the region, the head of U.S. Africa Command said on Monday. U.S. Army General Carter Ham told a Pentagon briefing that coalition air forces were continuing to fly missions to sustain the no-fly zone ..."
We should not be too surprised to learn that the "No-Fly Zone" is now being increased to 1,000 kilometer radius, because the military intervention is being billed as a regional effort. Further, we know that the Libyan operation is part of the larger plan to create Regional Nation #7 of the Club of Rome Plan!
As more news unfolds, it will be very interesting to see which
Arab League Nations are now cooperating. After all, the
22-member Arab League forms almost exactly Regional Government #7.

II. Meanwhile, the strongman dictator of Yemen is feeling the same heat for the same reason: to remove him from power.
The incumbent president suddenly took fire from two sources at once, greatly weakening his hold on power.

"Three top generals in Yemen declared their support for anti-government protests Monday as a wave of officials, including the deputy speaker of parliament, announced their resignations. One of the generals who broke ranks will order his troops to protect protesters demonstrating against the country's longtime president, he told reporters in Yemen. Maj. Gen. Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar's announcement ramps up the pressure on President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who is seeing cracks in his support after 32 years in power. "
One of the common denominators in "The Pentagon's New Map Strategy" is a dictator who has served many years. If regional governments are going to be formed in the poor and backward area known as the "Non-Integrating Gap", then these type of long-term dictators have to be brought down, and replaced by compliant "democratic" governments.
Now, let us return to our featured story:
"At least 22 top officials announced their support for the 'peaceful revolution' on Monday ... They included a provincial governor, the ambassadors to Japan, Syria and the Czech Republic, and top diplomats in the embassies in Washington and Moscow. The ambassadors to Pakistan, Qatar, Oman, Spain and the consul general in Dubai announced their resignations together later on Monday. The envoys to China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Algeria also quit."
Did President Saleh quake in his boots?
"But Saleh is not showing any signs of resigning, the source said. 'I'm bracing myself for military clashes', the official said."
However, Saleh suffered another strong blow: his own tribe turned against him!

"The US-backed president of Yemen took a devastating political blow yesterday when his own powerful tribe demanded his resignation, joining religious leaders, young people, and the country’s traditional opposition in calls for an end to his three decades in power ... Saleh appeared to be trying to hold on."
President Saleh has been consistently pro-West during his 32 years of rule, but that will not help him now. This entire region has entered a new phase, one not predicated on whether the dictator is pro-West or fundamentally Islamic. Regional government is being formed, Nation #7 called "Northern Africa and the Middle East" in the Club of Rome Plan.

The Palestinians are said to be readying a request for the United Nations to
unilaterally declare a Palestinian State!
Prophecy is being fulfilled!

"The Palestinians are planning to ask the U.N. to recognize a Palestinian state and grant them membership of the world body, a top official said Sunday ... The decision to ask the U.N. for recognition had been made by the Palestinian leadership and it is the “choice of President Mahmoud Abbas,” said chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat."
"However, Erekat said no date had been set for the move, which would request the world body recognize a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders and with occupied East Jerusalem as its capital, saying only that it would happen 'as soon as possible'.”
This diplomatic move in the world body means that the Palestinians have given up on any hope that they could strike any kind of deal with the Israeli government. After all, the Israeli leadership is trying to avoid signing a "peace deal" which could destroy the Jewish state, while that is precisely what the Palestinian Authority wants!
So, the Palestinians are turning to the United Nations, knowing full well that world body is horribly anti-Israel.
The key prophecy to keep in mind here is a rather obscure one.
"They shall call its nobles to proclaim the kingdom, but nothing shall be there, and all its princes shall be no more." (Isaiah 34:12)
This prophecy literally means that the "Princes of Edom" (Palestinians today) shall proclaim an empty kingdom, and shall soon thereafter disappear from the scene. This apparently is precisely what is about to occur!

IV. Japan is apparently making progress in her fight against her crippled nuclear reactors.

"TOKYO, March 21 (Reuters) - Japanese authorities have taken a major step in managing a nuclear crisis by connecting all six earthquake-damaged reactors to power supply, but it's too soon to say the crisis has reached a turning point ... Power has been connected but not switched on to crank up most coolers and pumps, which may have been badly damaged in the quake and tsunami that on March 11 triggered the world's worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl. "
Only one pump has been activated, for some reason.
"The damaged reactors and their spent fuel pools at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, 240 km (150 miles) north of Tokyo, urgently need cooling from air-conditioners and from water pumped in. U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu, asked by CNN whether the worst of Japan's 10-day nuclear crisis was over, said: 'Well, we believe so, but I don't want to make a blanket statement'."
"U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Gregory Jaczko added that radiation levels at the plant appeared to be falling. "
Another nuclear expert voiced his opinion:
" 'Reactors 5 and 6, they are now in what's called cold shutdown, and the spent fuel cooling ponds are at normal temperatures', said Tony Irwin, a former nuclear plant manager who now lectures at Australian National University. 'They are in the sort of situation now we would like to see 1, 2, 3 and 4 in'."
For the time being, it appears that no worldwide threat exists from this nuclear calamity from the unprecedented 9.0 quake and the resulting tsunami.
Japan has suffered a grievous blow, but is expected to recover.
