THE CUTTING EDGE
In case you have not already guessed, I am fascinated by the prospect of the rapture of the Church, the rise of antichrist, and the subsequent apostasy of professed believers. For many years I bought into the popularly held notion that the rapture would occur first and then the apostasy and antichrist would come along. But now I believe, as I indicated in my last article, that the rapture will be concurrent. to some extent. with these events. The main reason that caused me to change my mind is the discovery that 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 actually tells us that the day of the Lord's return will be when people are saying "Peace and Safety." This obviously cannot refer to the Second Coming of Christ, because no one is likely to be talking about peace or safety during those awful last days of the tribulation period prior to His return. Notice too that verse four says:
"But you are not in [given up to the power of] darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief" (1 Thessalonians 5:4, Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary).
This leads us to believe that the Lord. s coming of verse 2 must refer to the rapture of the Church because believers will be looking for it and will not be surprised by it. plus the context places it immediately after Paul. s teaching concerning the rapture in verses 13 to 18 of chapter four.
Now then. back to the "Peace and Safety" issue. What could possibly cause the people of the world in general (or perhaps Israel in particular) to be talking about peace and safety? Does it seem reasonable that people would be talking about these things during a prolonged period of relatively calm conditions? I don't think so. It seems far more likely to me that people would be discussing these topics after having survived a time of war and political/social/economic turmoil. (But just when they think that they "have it made," the roof is going to fall in on them in the form of the tribulation period.) Another issue to consider is that it just stands to reason that human nature must be overcome for any one man to be received as the supreme leader of the entire world. The Bible teaches us that God instilled nationalism and patriotism into mankind at the tower of Babel when He separated us into nations, so that we would remain apart. After thousands of years these binding forces are still as strong as ever and will have to be circumvented before antichrist will be received by the masses. Perhaps God Himself will take care of this when he sends the lost inhabitants of the world "strong delusion" (2 Thess.2:11) so that they will believe "the lie" (the definite article is in the original). But it also seems clear that "to cover all of the bases" the antichrist. s rise to power is going to attended by all kinds of "signs and lying wonders" (verse 9). The fact that purported "Marian apparitions" today draw crowds from around the world should give us some insight into the mystical power of the "miraculous" to move certain segments of society.
The Internet news agencies (World Net Daily and others) have been reporting over the last few days that China and Australia are experiencing numerous outbreaks of UFO sightings. This is not very unusual for Australia, but it definitely is for China. when we consider that it is the Communist controlled official news outlets that are reporting it. As a matter of fact, the Internet has been awash with sightings for several years. but the U.S. news agencies have been strangely silent. Why? I do not know! But I am completely convinced that when the antichrist does appear on the scene, "space aliens" and UFO phenomena will accompany him. My intuition tells me that some type of massive trauma to the collective psyche beyond that of war and economic crisis will be required to make the world capitulate to its new leader.
Where are we now in relation to these future events? I still believe that we are on the verge of seeing things unfold which will be totally unprecedented in all of history. Israel continues to negotiate with Syria. her most intractable enemy in the Middle East. over the painful issue of the Golan Heights. Russia is already geographically poised and pre-positioned in Chechnya where her military forces can invade Israel at such time as they appear to be most vulnerable. China is still rattling the saber over Taiwan. North Korea is still a "loose cannon" and could attack South Korea at any moment without provocation. Our military is demoralized, depleted, and dispersed around the world. every bit as susceptible to a surprise attack as was the case at Pearl Harbor, prior to WWII. All of these things, taken together, are a sure recipe for disaster. and in my opinion, have been carefully and skillfully manipulated toward that end.
It is also my observation that the overwhelming majority of the world's inhabitants are caught up in the mundane activities of daily life and are totally unaware of what is about to become a deadly reality for most of them. Spiritual blindness is rampant and the Gospel message is all the more urgently needed to pierce the darkness of men's souls. Only our Sovereign God has the power to delay the inevitable, so the petitions of His children to stay His hand of judgment are all the more necessary at this hour.
We are living in an era of great deceit. things are seldom as they seem and the practice of deception has become an art. Our nation has honed the skill of propaganda to a fine edge and the U.S. News and Information Agency (among others) continues to manipulate the public through selective and creative versions of actual events. If you doubt the existence of such propaganda schemes, I call your attention to what happened in the U.S. during WWII. Shortly after we entered the war in both Europe and the Pacific, the propaganda machine (greatly utilizing Hollywood. s "movie magic") shifted into high gear and began promoting public animosity toward the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan). This was done to insure a united front during the national effort to draft eligible young men into the military and to produce war material. This patriotic "flame" was fanned throughout the war years and proved to be very successful. When the war was over, the whole process had to be reversed in order to rebuild Europe and Japan. thereby further enriching those who planned and profited from the war! And as they say, "the rest is history." American public opinion was re-shaped, hatred for the Axis Powers was defused, and we are living happily ever after. Neat isn't it?
In a very similar manner, we are presently being herded (like the cattle we are seen as being) into what I refer to as "accepting the unacceptable." When we see "magic tricks" or illusions performed by David Copperfield, Seigfreid and Roy, "Street Magic", etc., we are entertained but realize that there is nothing actually miraculous about it. even though we are always baffled as to how they did it. However, when the Statue of Liberty disappears in front of a live audience backed up with multiple TV cameras and Bengal Tigers suddenly pop up in ways that defy reason, I must admit that my natural inclination toward disbelief is strained! Again, you may laugh at me if you wish, but it is my opinion that in very subtle ways we are slowly being conditioned by all of this to overcome our natural skepticism. In David Bay's "Cutting Edge" articles the point is made over and over that the Illuminati leaves nothing to chance. When they finally decide to unveil their unholy superman. attended by "signs and lying wonders" (2 Thess.2:9). the world's immediate acceptance of this individual is vital to their interests. I further propose to you that this same agenda is being carried out within the professing church through an ongoing preoccupation with that which is miraculous. Let. s face it. multiplied thousands of churchgoers today are constantly seeking "a second blessing", "the gift of tongues", spiritual healing, miraculous protection from snakebites associated with handling them (and isn't it interesting that the majority of those who insist upon the validity of tongues, etc., will not take up serpents and drink poison? [Mark 16:17-19] If one is still Biblically valid, then they all are! Also those who insist upon these things fail to recognize and/or admit that casting out demons and raising the dead were "sign gifts" as well.) It is not my intent to offend. My only desire is that all of us within the body of Christ get our heads on straight, wake up to the lateness of the hour, and see that Satan is trying to do a number on us! If we allow our spiritual lives to be consumed with "feeling good" and a constant desire for the miraculous, we are playing right into the hands of those who are doing the programming.

I cannot possibly over-emphasize the fact that the unregenerate masses of humanity are totally blind to what is taking place at this hour. Like lemmings they are walking in lockstep toward the sea of no return and blissfully ignorant of it. If they have even heard of the antichrist, it is in the most general of terms and not something they really understand. And when this evil individual does appear, he too will doubtless "come as a thief in the night". unexpectedly. in the same manner as the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church (1 Thess.5:2). However, we must understand that the element of surprise pertains only to the majority of those who are lost. not to those of us who are born again, indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and members of the Body of Christ. I say the majority of those who are lost, because I believe that some Illuminists and certain members of other occult groups comprise a cadre of genuine believers who follow Satan (and are therefore fully knowledgeable of "the plan"). These individuals may be Satan's version of the elect. the genuine members of the Body of Christ. the Church.
Where are we now relative to the timing of the prophetic events surrounding the rise of antichrist, the great apostasy, and the rapture of the Church? All I can say is that they are still "imminent" and could begin to occur at any moment. Many of us have tried our best to peek into the future and glean some insight into a more precise chronology, but it is impossible to determine specific dates. The best we can do is to keep our spiritual eyes open and be aware of the general flow of events around us. We may not know the "day and hour" (Matt.24:36), but we can sure discern that the "day is approaching" (Heb.10:25). My own personal awareness of the lateness of the hour has been greatly sharpened through the knowledge of what the enemies of Christ are planning. In their writings they are on record as having set specific dates, but as we have now seen, several of those dates have come and gone without incident. To what should we attribute these failures on their part to achieve their goals by a set time? It's really very simple! Our Sovereign God is in absolute and complete control of the entire situation and His timetable will be followed to the very split-second! Satan is a very powerful spiritual entity, but he is not even in the same league with our God and Savior.
It goes without saying that God knows what is best for His children and it is very obvious that He does not want us to know anything beyond what He has already revealed in His Word. Perhaps you have never really thought about it, but it does make complete sense that He would keep that information from us. Think about it. if we knew precisely when the Lord was coming for His Bride, a couple of things would likely happen because of our fallen nature. (1) If the date were beyond our normal life expectancy, we would lose the beneficial pressure of His imminent return. that is, the additional incentive to keep short accounts with Him because we might have to stand in His presence very soon. We would also lose the joy of anticipation. (2) If the date were well within our expected life span, some if not most, immature Christians would be tempted to "live it up" with the idea that they could get their act together in time for the rapture. God knows our frame and that we are but dust (Ps.103:14). Because of His infinite knowledge of what we are and what we will do without supervision, He lovingly manages us and leads us in the way that we should go. Praise the Lord!
Just keep on searching the Scriptures and trying to learn as much as you can. Supplement that with pertinent secular information and filter it wisely. Stay vigilant and alert to your surroundings and join with us in praying that the Lord will come soon. I would be less than candid with you if I failed to warn that suffering and persecution are probably just around the corner for God. s people. All of the warning signs are flashing and the plans are definitely in place for this to be an implemented policy of our government through presidential directives. When the time is right, a state of emergency will be declared and Christian leaders will be rounded up. many to be executed. I keep seeing source after source on the internet talking about the "red list and the blue list," which ties in with the Justice Department's now infamous data on all of us purported trouble-makers. I suspect that many of us are prone to dismiss this as being merely rumors, but unfortunately it all makes sense when you understand the details of the overall master plan. We had best be on our knees, preparing ourselves spiritually to meet a very uncertain future.
Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
