Last week when President Bush thought that Arafat was dead he replied, “God bless his soul!” But Mr. Bush surely knows that a man like Arafat–liar, thief, mass killer, terrorist, bisexual and general all around low-life–did not know God nor have his soul blessed (after death) by God! If Bush believes that then he and I are not reading the same Bible. Maybe he was just being politically correct.
Seldom have I been pleased when a person reaches room temperature but at times such an event is beneficial to mankind (as with Hitler, Stalin, Mao) and in the case of Yassir Arafat. When he stopped breathing, he finally did mankind a favor. It is too bad that it took so long! I really don’t care where he is buried although a funeral in Jerusalem seems to be an obscenity.
In 1948, he killed a “Palestinian” with his own hands whom he incorrectly thought guilty of treason. Since that time, he perfected his ability to maneuver, manipulate, and murder. After all, he was well-trained for his terrorist activities.
Arafat was not just another Muslim with a pretty face. He was not a freedom fighter, but a terrorist trained by the KGB in Moscow. In fact, Arafat was “trained, armed and bankrolled” by the Soviet Union for decades, according to the Wall Street Journal. He received hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash every month from Communist countries during the 1970s.
Many people with short memories might be horrified to know that Arafat was a cold-blooded mass killer. His Black September group massacred eleven Israeli athletes during the Munich Olympics in 1972. Or had you forgotten? Have you also forgotten that the Olympics continued since, after all, “the show must go on.” I have always wondered why it must!
Remember when Arafat’s order to kill U.S. Ambassador Cleo Noel and George Moore in Sudan was intercepted by U.S. intelligence agents? After the diplomats’ murders, Arafat boasted about the killings during a dinner meeting with Romanian dictator Ceausescu who was later “sent to his reward” by his own oppressed citizens.
Arafat built his PLO upon the backs of the “Palestinian people,” a designation that is a misnomer. Refugees came from Jordan, Egypt, and Syria 60 years ago and no Arab leader would help them, but now the pitch is that these poor “Palestinians” were chased out of “Palestine” having had their homes stolen from them by the Jews. Inept politicians who promote that myth have lost their ability to blush and they should be suspect even when quoting the multiplication table. But the myth provides a shaky foundation for a “Palestinian state.” That’s what we need: another terrorist state!
Arafat also financed terrorist activities using money supplied by western nations! It is also a fact that he siphoned off millions of dollars of aid to the “Palestinians” and stuffed it in his secret Swiss bank account. So he was not only a terrorist and a killer but a thief as well. He purchased explosives to carry out suicide attacks, and paid money to the “martyrs’” families. He abhorred terror in English in front of American television cameras then applauded terror in Arabic to his followers. So add to his résumé that he was also a hypocrite and a very big liar. The source of terror in the Middle East goes to the door of Arafat.
This co-winner of the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize (!) ordered the murder of thousands of civilians while waging war against the Jews. He often spoke of peace while he promoted and paid for terror. He demanded a “Palestinian” state with Jerusalem as its capitol and was determined to drive Israel into the sea.
On September 9, 1993, Arafat promised the Prime Minister of Israel that he would renounce terror, prosecute all “Palestinians” who perpetrated violence, and recognize the state of Israel. He lied. Surprise, surprise, surprise. Of course, Mohammed was an early example of making treaties while one is weak and breaking those treaties when one has become strong. After all “Promises are like pie crust, made to be broken,” so said one of his heroes -- Lenin -- whom Arafat has just joined this week.
With such a bloody past, it is inconceivable that politicians have been willing, even eager, to sit down in the same room with Arafat, shake his hand and treat him like a gentlemen. Just as astounding is that the Nobel Peace Committee in Oslo would even consider him for a Nobel Peace Prize! Of course, that only proves what we have been saying for 30 years: the Nobel Peace Prize is the Left conferring celebrity status upon itself. One does not have to be a Socialist, Communist, or terrorist to receive the Prize but it does seem to help hurry along the process. Well, from here, I am thrilled to say of Arafat’s death, “good riddance.”

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
