Several weeks ago Americans all across this fair land were jolted by the news that Wal-Mart was going to contribute handsomely to Gay-Lesbian causes. People from all walks of life, but especially Christians, were dumbfounded. How could the "family friendly" Wal-Mart chain suddenly change direction so completely? I sat under a pastor once who really believed the original Sam Walton was Christian believer. Knowing Mr. Walton's predatory business practices from the time he was alive, I really and truly doubted that he was genuinely Born Again. However, many Christians believe that Mr. Walton was one of them.
Therefore, this news of Wal-Mart's support of Gay-Lesbian causes really caused a great stir. The commotion within Conservative and/or Christian ranks was powerful enough to cause Donald Wildmon of the American Family Association to call for a boycott of Wal-Mart in the few days after Thanksgiving. National news picked up news of this boycott so that many people knew the Christians were kicking up a fuss.
Let us pick up our story from this point.
NEWS BRIEF: "Group cancels Thanksgiving boycott of Wal-Mart over gay support", By Robert Marus, Associated Baptist Press, Nov 24, 2006
"BENTONVILLE, Ark. - A group that had threatened a Thanksgiving-weekend boycott over gay-rights issues at the world's largest retailer has called it off. The American Family Association's web site reported Nov. 22 that the group had canceled a boycott of Wal-Mart planned for the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. The period is traditionally the busiest time of the year for retailers and marks the traditional beginning of the Christmas shopping season."
At this point, I feel the need to point out that this last sentence is not quite true. From my many years as a major retail toy buyer and a manufacturer's representative, I can tell you that the few days after Thanksgiving is traditionally the busiest time of the year for Department Stores, Specialty Stores, and mall stores in general. However, a discount chain like Wal-Mart experiences a far different pattern. The busiest day of the year is December 24, Christmas Eve. The busiest 10 days of the year are from December 15 - 24, with each day after the 15th getting bigger and bigger until the climactic day on the 24th.
Now, let us get back to our featured story.
"AFA Chairman Donald Wildmon had called for the boycott because of Wal-Mart's recent contributions to gay-rights groups. The Mississippi-based AFA claims more than 3 million members nationwide. Late on the evening of Nov. 21, the Arkansas-based discount chain released a statement saying it would not make donations to controversial groups."
'Wal-Mart will not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues unless they directly relate to our ability to serve our customers', the statement said. 'Wal-Mart does not have a position on same-sex marriage, and we do not give preference to gay or lesbian suppliers'."
While this statement sounds good, the discerning person should take note of this very next sentence:
"Wal-Mart does have a strong commitment to diversity among our associates and against discrimination everywhere."
The key words here are "diversity" and "discrimination", for they are important buzzwords used by homosexual activists groups everywhere. However, this statement was good enough for the AFA, as it released a statement calling off the short period of boycott. Listen:
"The AFA, in its web site statement, declared that it 'is pleased with this announcement' and that the group believes 'that Wal-Mart will remain neutral in cultural battles'."
How naive and foolish the American Family Association is regarding this false assurance from Wal-Mart! Let us return to this article from the Associated Baptist Press to see strong indications that Wal-Mart is most definitely not going to be "neutral in cultural battles". After we list the warning signs in this article, we shall report other articles which present even a far darker picture. Warning Signs:
1) "Earlier this year Wal-Mart joined the Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, announced it would add sexual orientation to its non-discrimination policy, and began offering benefits to the same-sex domestic partners of its employees.":
2) "The Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay-rights group, ranks large corporations for their gay-friendly policies toward employees. While many other Fortune 500 companies have scores of 100 on a scale from 0 to 100, Wal-Mart's score in the most recent ranking is 65. That's an increase from a score of 14 in the 2002 rankings."
This means that Wal-Mart is "improving" their sensitivity to Gay - Lesbian causes in the mindset of the people running the Human Rights Campaign!
At least one prominent Christian group was not deceived:
"A scrolling announcement on the web site of Operation Rescue/Operation Save America Nov. 22 said the group would boycott Wal-Mart: 'Don't buy the hype! Wal-Mart is still in bed with homosexuality!' "
Now, let us examine another article to see just how right Operation Rescue is on this issue! You will be appalled!

"Wal-Mart is now into the promotion of teen lesbian sex. That's right, available on-line is a book that Wal-Mart sells entitled "The Little Black Book for Girlz: A Book on Healthy Sexuality". This filthy publication instructs (in a Planned Parenthood sort of way - perverted and obscene) young girls how to engage in homosexual acts with one another ... We looked up this book at walmart.com to see if it was available for sale, and yes it was, as were a host of other perverted homosexual publications. It seems that the once family-friendly Wal-Mart is not so "friendly" anymore toward the biblical God-ordained family."
"Not only is Wal-Mart selling lesbian sex manuals geared toward teenage girls, but upon further investigation, we have found that they are also selling the books 'The Joy of Gay Sex', and 'The Ins and Outs of Gay Sex', manuals on homosexual sodomy ... Wal-Mart is also selling 'gay erotica' ... The list goes on and on. Our research has found that Wal-Mart is selling more than 1000 homosexual publications on-line."
Actually, if you click on "Books" on 'walmart.com', and then type in "gay" in the Search Box, you will get exactly 1,100 entries. From Page One onward, you can realize the kind of perverted filth Wal-Mart is peddling on its website!
Can you imagine this outrage? The Wal-Mart online store is selling over 1,000 homosexual publications on-line! That is a far cry from her statement that "Wal-Mart will not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues".
Additionally, this shocking fact proves the naive notion from AFA that "Wal-Mart will remain neutral in cultural battles'."
This next article from the Save WalMart.com site, quoted above, zeroes in on one particularly objectionable teen lesbian book offered for sale on the Wal-Mart online bookstore.
NEWS BRIEF: "Wal-Mart Hits Teens with Gay Porn How-To Manual", By Gudrun Schultz, Save WalMart.com, 11/17/2006
"MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, November 15, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A graphic sex-ed manual promoting lesbianism to teenage girls is now offered for sale by Wal-Mart in the United States. Called 'irresponsible and obscene' and by the Institute for Canadian Values, the material contains explicit directions for engaging in oral/anal sexual acts. The book encourages same-sex experimentation, telling girls that only 10 percent of the population is actually heterosexual, while 80 percent is 'mixed' or bi-sexual."
"Produced by St. Stephens' Community House in Toronto, the book titled "The Little Black Book for Girlz: A Book on Healthy Sexuality" caused a storm of controversy earlier this fall when parents and pro-family groups first became aware of the books' content ... The manual was further condemned for using obscene and derogatory language. Examples include ..." (NOTE: The examples are too graphic to print out here, even with certain letters replaced by "x")
"The manual contains misleading and dangerous information on 'safe' sex devises, assuring teenagers that condom use is 100 percent effective in preventing the transmission of disease. That statement contradicts the World Health Organization's recent admission that condom use fails to protect against HIV/AIDS transmission up to 20 percent of the time, crucial information missing from the manual. Another section on 'safe' lesbian sex acts, entitled 'How to use a dental dam', encourages girls to engage in such dangerous behaviour as sewing latex squares used in dentistry into the crotch of their underwear 'for added fun'."
What does Wal-Mart think of this book, especially in light of Wal-Mart's assurance -- noted above -- that "Wal-Mart will not make corporate contributions to support or oppose highly controversial issues"?
Listen and weep.
"Wal-Mart says the book, sold for $8.50, is 'a great mix of real-life examples and life-saving info' ... Advertising the manual as 'not just a book about sex, but a look at girl culture by teenagers', the book is praised as 'No stuffy school textbook', with 'No nosy adults' involved. 'It's all stuff that youth need to know…The Little Black Book for Girlz is an important, take--anywhere empowerment guide. Girls shouldn't leave their teen years without it'."
One would expect this kind of praise for such a filthy, deviant book only from a hardcore gay online bookstore, not from "family-friendly" Wal-Mart! The truth is now out on Wal-Mart! While Wal-Mart officials falsely assure Christian groups like AFA that they are not supporting "controversial issues" like Gay-Lesbianism, they are selling 1,100 gay-oriented book on their online website!
Christians the world over need to decide not to buy from Wal-Mart permanently, based on this new and extremely powerful information, not just a three-day period.
Will a threat of such a boycott scare Wal-Mart? One journalist does not think so. Notice the complete derision in which this journalist holds Christians.
NEWS BRIEF: "Pastor's outrage no match for low prices", By Bud Kennedy, Star-Telegram Staff Write
"A showboating North Carolina pastor called for Christians to protest Wal-Mart on Friday. From a look at the parking lot, I'm guessing that didn't quite pan out ... at the giant Wal-Mart in the Riverside neighborhood of Fort Worth, any protesters would have been knocked flat by the crowds racing for a PlayStation 3 or a flat-screen TV. And heaven help anyone who tried to picket the front door when Wal-Mart opened, at 5 a.m. Only a higher power could hold back Wal-Mart shoppers."
After such derision, Kennedy gets to his bottom line reason that no Christian boycott would work against Wal-Mart. We need only to go back to the headline of this article:

Is this your bottom line? Now that you know the truth, are you going to continue shopping at Wal-Mart, whose pro-gay policies are now crystal clear? Or, will you be prepared to pay a little more someplace else in order to send a really strong message to this formerly "family values" retailer?
The extreme increase in wickedness foretold at the End of the Age is really becoming apparent now. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
