The premise of The Cutting Edge Ministry is that we can see the approach of the Kingdom of Antichrist, also known in the Bible as the 7-year Tribulation Period, and known popularly in our culture as the New World Order, in your Daily News. After the latest school carnage, I decided to review the last two weeks of newspapers for any and all articles that might indicate the swing of our society from Godly to Ungodly, which we call moral decline. I found much more than I thought possible! Since we will be reviewing many articles, I will not report much on each article.
BIBLICAL PROPHECY BEING FULFILLED!
Before we get started reviewing news articles, let us examine a most pertinent Biblical prophecy, from Revelation 18:4-7, "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously ..."
I believe that the Economic Babylon of Revelation 18 is the United States of America. When you examine the economic details given for this giant economy of this End of the Age country, only one nation on earth fits this description -- the United States of America. If America is this Economic Babylon, then the key phrase I want to impart to you is " For her sins have reached unto heaven". The idea here is that the sins of this nation have stacked like cork wood, layer upon layer, until the stack has reached all the way to Heaven's doors! This is a lot of sin, but I challenge you to keep this idea in mind as you read these news stories, chosen from the time period May 14-25, 1998. When I was preparing this article, I was amazed at how different events appear when I review the stories as a one-week unit rather than just daily. When I read the news daily, I find it easy to so compartmentalize my thinking that I don't realize the accumulative effect of all the crime, and all the carnage that is occurring! Only when I stepped back and looked at a specific period of time do I fully understand the great amount of anti-Christian activities occurring in our society today.
SINS REACHING UP TO HEAVEN'S DOORS
NEWS REPORT: "Springer Ends May Sweeps With Bestiality!", The Drudge Report, May 14, 1998. "The Jerry Springer show hopes to end the important May sweeps on a high by offering up a show dealing with people and their love for pets, a.k.a. bestiality. The shock episode from the #1 syndicated talkshow in America is set to air Friday, May 22 ... 'There is a sense that the show is running out of outrage ... now they've turned to man-beast relationships', said an executive at Universal. 'I'm personally looking forward to the day that I'll feel clean again'. " Springer was to interview a woman who has had sexual relations with a horse, and who says she has "married" the horse.
"But Springer keeps pulling them in. And isn't that what it's all about? May, '98, has been Springer's best month yet, according to sweeps numbers coming out of A.C. Nielsen. In the nation's top market, New York City, Springer pulled the hair and slapped the faces to an 118% increase in viewers from a year ago ... Nice is out in New York."
Nice is apparently out all over America! Throughout history, few sins have been considered more heinous than Bestiality -- a human having sex with an animal. God condemned this sin most vociferously, because He knew the Pagan nations around His nation, Israel, had consistently practiced this sin. Therefore, as America rapidly proceeds to the point where we become Pagan, we should not be surprised that Bestiality is also being reported and promoted. NEWS REPORT: "Abortion Clinic Ad Draws Joe Camel Comparison", The Sun Chronicle, May 14, 1998, page 4. "Radio station WKMN-FM in Waltham, Massachusetts, has been running ads by "Repro Associates", a privately owned, for-profit abortion clinic in Brookline, Massachusetts. These ads advertise a special operation that will end pregnancies two weeks earlier than other abortions." Killing unborn babies is thus given new impetus and a new respectability, now that it can be advertised on the same basis as ads for innocuous things, like toothpaste.
NEWS REPORT: "Police Seek Witnesses In Cape Cod Slaying", The Sun Chronicle, May 14, 1998, page 4. Two New York City men were accosted in a motel in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, leaving one man dead and one severely wounded."
NEWS REPORT: "Trial Opens In Killing Of Pregnant High School Junior", The Sun Chronicle, May 14, 1998, page 5. "Jonathan Tretton fatally beat and stabbed pregnant teen-ager Jennifer Bailey in exchange for the promise of a better future for himself, with $1,000, a car, and a job promised to him for the killing ... Tretton and his roommate, John Pacheco, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Bailey ... She was four months pregnant. Pacheco thought he was the father of Bailey's child and asked 22-year-old Tretton to kill her ..."
We have reached a new low when human life, and unborn human life, is worth so little!
NEWS REPORT: "Mother Accused Of Selling Child", The Sun Chronicle, May 14, 1998, page 6. "JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- (AP) A mother is accused on selling her daughter for $10.
I guess the value of a human being has already been set by our national attitude that babies within the womb are somewhere between worthless and dangerous to the mother and society, but honestly, I have never conceived of a baby being worth only $10, either to the mother or to the buyer. American society has reached a new low. We need to remember that God forbade the selling of people, and He commanded that such perpetrator be put to death [Deuteronomy 24:7] for the express purpose of removing that person and the evil they have committed, from society.
NEWS REPORT: "Star's Office, Secret Service Lawyers Take Dispute Before Judge", the Sun Chronicle, May 14, 1998, page 7. Since this article, we have learned that the Federal Judge backed Independent Prosecutor Starr in his effort to get Secret Service agents to testify about what they might have seen or heard between President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. What is a week like, these days, without such stories that remind us of the immoral and corrupt President we currently have in the White House?
NEWS REPORT: "Horoscope", Friday, May 15, 1998, printed in The Sun Chronicle, Thursday, May 14, 1998, page 12. This section is in every daily newspaper, but I will only print it out only this one time. Truly, Americans are violating God's prohibition daily against going to a soothsayer, a medium, or a diviner, for glimpses of the future. The very fact that Horoscopes are so very popular demonstrates how far down the path to occultism our nation has gone. Of course, this love of the occult is absolutely essential if Americans are to embrace Antichrist! We are getting very close to having a nation so saturated with occultism on a daily basis that we will be ready to support Antichrist. We will truly be "proper receptors" to Antichrist [See NEWS1052]
NEWS REPORT: "Two Banks Robbed; One For Second Time In Week", The Providence Journal Bulletin, Friday, May 15, 1998, page B-1. Armed robbery continues to be a major problem in this country, and it underscores our moral decline. For those who will respond that major crime is in a period of decline, I would like to point out that the number of adults from 25-40 is at an low right now, because of the low birth rate in the 1970's. When today's current bumper crop of youngsters gets to this age group, we are likely to see a crime wave of staggering proportions, involving youngsters who have absolutely no conscience. The current wave of shootings in schools is merely a glimpse of crime horror to come.
NEWS REPORT: "Powerball Expected To Reach $110 million", The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 15, 1998, page B-1. Americans in record numbers are gambling these days, to the point where mental health experts are warning that we are creating a huge new class of gambling addicts. Gambling today also demonstrates that Church and State, two institutions that always have acted historically to limit gambling, are now promoting it heavily. Such a hunger for "get rich quick" schemes merely shows the spiritual emptiness of so many of our citizens.
NEWS REPORT: "Stabbing Suspect Caught In New York", The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 15, 1998, page B-4. "James Scowcroft may face arraignment in Providence today on a charge he attempted to murder his girlfriend, Eileen Coppola, of Johnston, R.I."
NEWS REPORT: "[Domestic] Batterers Win Another Round", Opinion Column by Eileen McNamara, Boston, The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 15, 1998, page B-6. A lower court ruling found that a woman who had nearly been beaten to death, and nearly killed with a gun, had no recourse against the Grafton, Mass., police department for negligence. "While professing sympathy for a young woman left a quadriplegic by her ex-husband and acknowledging that the negligence of the Grafton police could reasonably be inferred from the evidence, the court nonetheless ruled that the town is not liable for the results. The long-delayed decision is a bitter pill for all battered women, especially Cathy Ford, who was 26 when her ex-husband re-scripted her future with three bullets to her head, and the words, 'Bitch, you're going to die'. "
The Bible is extremely clear that husbands are to take care of their wives as if their wives were their own flesh [Ephesians 5:28]. Furthermore, husbands are to love their wives with the same kind of pure live and devotion as Jesus Christ showed toward His Church [Ephesians 5:25]. Therefore, this national epidemic of husbands beating, killing and generally mistreating their wives shows how very far we have fallen from the Biblical standard. But, this is precisely the kind of attitude men of Pagan cultures have always demonstrated toward their wives. Since the Kingdom of Antichrist is going to be the greatest Pagan kingdom in world history, we would expect that this type of attitude toward women must come into existence.
NEWS REPORT: "Former RISDIC Executives Sentenced To 2 Years' Probation", The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 15, 1998, page B-8. "Two former executives of the Rhode Island Share and Deposit Indemnity Corp., pleaded 'no contest' yesterday to illegally taking tens of thousands of dollars in unauthorized bonuses before the credit union collapse in December, 1990."
Again, we have the spectacle of public officials embezzling money which depositors had placed in their institution, with simple faith that their money would be handled properly. This type of thievery is becoming very commonplace these days.
NEWS REPORT: "Lawyers: Death Penalty 'Unusual Punishment', " The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 17, 1998, page E-12. "CONCORD [N.H.] -- Attorneys for Gordon Perry claim the state's death penalty constitutes unusual punishment. And that may be enough to save their client's life. The New Hampshire constitution prohibits punishments deemed cruel or unusual. Perry's attorney's argue that, since the state hasn't put anyone to death in nearly 60 years, the death penalty is a disproportionate punishment because it is so rarely used. Perry, 22, of Manchester, is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Epsom Police Officer Jeremy Charron."
Once again, America is far down the road where we are disregarding God's commandment that the death verdict must be meted out to a convicted murderer. Once any society consistently disobeys God's commands on any subject, that society begins to deteriorate in so many different areas. Soon, whenever the officials of a nation consistently refuse to carry out God's commands in an area where God has decreed the death penalty, God begins to initiate the death penalty on the entire society. America is at this point today. God's emphasis when He declared the Death Penalty for certain sins was not rehabilitation, but the removal of the offender from society [See Deuteronomy 13:3-5; 17:7b; 19:19b; 19:20; 22:21b; 22:22b; 22:24b; 24:7]
NEWS REPORT: "School Officials Cancel Classes After Bomb Scare", The Providence Journal Bulletin, May 17, 1998, page E-12. "BURLINGTON [V.T.] -- A suspicious box with a note attached saying it contained a bomb prompted school officials at Burlington High School to cancel classes ...." This incident again demonstrates that too many American citizens, from sea to shining sea, are callous, full of hatred, and very capable of this kind of criminal act.
NEWS REPORT: "Nine Arrested, Two Injured, In Wild Seekonk Brawl", The Sun Chronicle, May 16, 1998, page 1. "SEEKONK -- Nine teenagers from Rehoboth and Seekonk were arrested Friday afternoon following a wild brawl involving bats and clubs that left two Seekonk youths injured and nine vehicles heavily damaged." Just as crime experts have been warning for several years now, today's youngsters, 10-18, represent a far different kind of criminal than Law Enforcement has ever before seen -- the young criminal with no conscience. Just notice your daily news how many times youngsters are involved in serious crimes.
NEWS REPORT: "White House Backs More Funds For Bulletproof Vests For Police", The Sun Chronicle, May 16, 1998, page 24. " 'We must protect those who protect us', Vice President Gore said at a memorial service for fallen police officers at the Capitol. State and local governments would get new grants to buy bulletproof vests, and criminals who wear them while committing federal crimes would face longer sentences..."
The crime scene facing officers on the street today is so bad that police officers are demanding, and getting, more bulletproof vests. This unheard of situation is unique in American history.
NEWS REPORT: "An 'M' For Murder On Her Report Card", Opinion Column by Kenneth R. Mahan, The Providence Sunday Journal, May 17, 1998, page B-7. "Jessica Gonazlez, 15, has been sentenced to 45 years for the murder of Maria Rivera, 23. The murder, committed at 13 out of jealousy .... is pitifully pointless and tragic."
Once again, we are treated to the spectacle of very young teens committing the most heinous type of crimes. And, once again, we have to point out that this situation is wholly unique in American history. I find it more than interesting that girls are the criminals and murderers all too often today. In fact, I have sensed that many girls are just as hardened as the boys are.
NEWS REPORT: "California Foster Children Being Drugged, Experts Say", The Providence Sunday Journal, May 17, 1998, page A-6. "Children under state protection in California group and foster homes are being drugged with potent, dangerous psychiatric medications, at times just to keep them obedient and docile for their overburdened caretakers."
Once again, we see a situation where a government institution is deliberately causing physical and mental hurt to the very people they are sworn to serve. This is eerily reminiscent of the tactics used by Nazi doctors in the early stages of the Holocaust. We encourage you to read Lifton's monumental book, "The Nazi Doctors", for a thorough background education on the various methods used to silently kill their victims. Nazi doctors also prescribed medication to keep their victims silent and obedient. While I am not accusing these California institutions of genocide, I am saying we must be vigilant. Dr. Wolf Wolfensberger, writing in his unpublished book, "The American Genocide of Handicapped And Other Devalued Persons", urges that no loved one leave an elderly, or handicapped patient, alone in the hospital. Dr. Wolfensberger urges that the family of such an individual maintain a 24-hour watch over the bedside of their loved one, and pay attention to the treatment the hospital is giving. Failure to do so, Sr. Wolfensberger maintains, could result in the death of their beloved family member.
Remember that the coming New World Order is Nazism personified, and the Antichrist will be a clone of Adolf Hitler. One of our major themes has been the many ways in which America is now following the same path that Germany trod in the decades before Hitler arrived. Sadly, this story parallels similar developments in Germany also.
NEWS REPORT: "No End Seen To Politicians Finding Loopholes In Campaign Financing", The Providence Sunday Journal, May 17, 1998, page A-8. "WASHINGTON -- The stench raised by campaign finance abuses in the 1996 presidential race caused many people to guess that political operatives would restrain themselves in the 1998 midterm elections. It appears they should guess again. 'If you didn't like 1996, you'll despise 1998', said Anthony Corrado, a Colby College campaign finance specialist, pointing to widespread efforts to exploit legal loopholes and carve out new openings in the rickety federal legal structure designed to regulate political spending."
The great historian, Gibbons, in his volumes entitled, "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire", noted that one of the causes of Rome's fall as a world empire was the deep seated and perennial corruption of her government officials. We certainly are witnessing the same kinds of such corruption in America. But, more to the point, New Age author, Bill Cooper, points out in his book, "Behold A Pale Horse", that such corruption is planned, in order to thoroughly disgust Americans toward their government. Once Americans have come to hate their officials, they will soon feel that something is wrong with their system of government and be receptive to plans to change the entire system. Of course, Antichrist will have a persuasive plan!
NEWS REPORT: "Chung Admission Raises Many Questions: Evidence of Chinese Election Fund Link May Open Deeper Criminal Investigation", by Jonathan D. Salant, (AP), page 8, The Sun Chronicle, May 17, 1998. "WASHINGTON -- "Californian businessman Johnny Chung already caused a stir when he compared his six-figure donations during the 1996 elections to subway tokens designed to gain him and his Chinese business associates access to the White House. But after striking a deal this spring to cooperate with prosecutors, Chung made a stunning revelation that is likely to give new focus and energy to the Justice Department's 1 1/2 year-old criminal investigation into fund-raising. Chung claims he received $300,000 from a Chinese aerospace official, Liu Chao-ying, who is also a lieutenant colonel in the People's Liberation Army ... Until then, prosecutors only had hints of such an effort backed by the Chinese government..."
Now, we learn that President Clinton has compromised American security and her very existence by allowing American companies to sell military secret technology to the Communist Chinese. Some people have even been so bold as to apply the correct term to this type of behavior -- treason. Yet, we must reiterate that Communism has always been a willing and loyal ally in this quest for the New World Order. [See details in our Seminar 2, "America Determines The Flow of History] Therefore, Clinton simply sees the Chinese as allies in this openly secret plan to achieve the New World Order for its Christ.
NEWS REPORT: "On-screen Vomiting Now Quite Common", Los Angeles Times, reported in The Sun Chronicle, May 17, 1998, page 48. "HOLLYWOOD -- Vomiting. It's everywhere in cinema these days, from the big studio pictures to the scrappy independents. In goofy comedies and serious dramas, off camera and on, actors are succumbing to nausea at a revolting rate. If it keeps up, queasiness threatens to become as commonplace in the movies as happy endings and heart-to-heart conversations held at urinals. Most often, hurling is played for shock value ..."
Once again, we see that the types of behavior restraint, which has always been part of our Christian values dominated culture, is giving way to the kind of revolting behavior seen regularly in Pagan countries. In NEWS1148, "Gross TV and Toys -- Sure Sign of End of the Age, Part 1 of 2, and in NEWS1152, Part 2 of 2, we show you more examples of this type of phenomena. However, these articles deal with the terrible fact that gross behavior is being marketed to our young children! One of our Founding Fathers remarked that the Republic form of government they had just established could not exist unless the majority of citizens were subject to Christian commands and standards. Christianity, he noted, is the only religion that imposes self-limitations on behavior. He is right, of course. Therefore, when we see a definite societal trend toward indulgence in this kind of disgusting behavior that had always been frowned upon by Christian standards, we can know we are looking at the end of our country as we know it.
NEWS REPORT: "Man With Record of Sex Offenses Is Arrested Again", The Sun Chronicle, May 18, 1998, page 2. "AMESBURY, [MASS.] -- A man charged with 19 sex offenses in the last 11 months has been accused of raping a 6-year-old boy in the men's room of a fast-food restaurant. Police said Brian J. Nagle, 32, of Stoneham faces charges of rape of a child by force and indecent assault and battery on a child. He was arrested Thursday and accused of assaulting the boy in the men's room at Burger King ... The boy had gone to the restaurant with another child and a sitter and went to the men's room about 12:30 p.m., police said. 'This was a brazen attack. This happened in a popular restaurant with people around at lunch time', said Police Sgt. Mark Gagnon, who administers the sex offender program in Amesbury."
Once again, we think of the End of the Age prophecy that states that people would be "without natural affection" and "lovers of pleasure" [2 Timothy 3:1-4]. Never in American history, at least, has our nation been so afflicted by sexual crime. How many times has this man immersed himself in pornography? Furthermore, how can we let a man convicted of 19 sexual crimes in 11 months walk the street? God's command is to execute such a criminal [Leviticus 18:22, 29], for the express purpose of removing that evil from society! [See passages in Deuteronomy, above]. Remember our thesis in Seminar 1; when a nation's leaders fail consistently to carry out God's commands for specific sins, God will ultimately carry out that very Judgment against the entire nation!
UPDATE TO THIS STORY: On May 19, The Sun Chronicle reported that this sex crime was causing a renewed call for stiffer penalties for repeat sex offenders. Now, listen to this incredible statement. "He [Brian Nagle] is being held without bail on charges of rape of a child by force and indecent assault and battery on a child. Prosecutors will try to prove Wednesday in Newburyport District Court that he is a danger to society." I have never heard of anything more ridiculous in my entire life! Of course, this man is a "danger to society", as his 19 convictions for sexual assault in only 11 months proves beyond doubt. The only question worthy of asking is why this man has not been executed. The answer is that America has gotten very, very far away from God's commands, and the innocents of our society are paying a fearful price!
NEWS REPORT: "Funding For Gay Students Advocated", The Sun Chronicle, May 18, 1998, page 4. "BOSTON (AP) -- Gay and lesbian advocates are appealing to state legislators to give more money to programs for gay high school students. In his proposed February budget, acting Governor Paul Celluci called for the 'Safe Schools' project, which provides money for student support groups and education programs. That was a 25 percent increase over last year ... Massachusetts is the only state with funding for gay students..."
Once again, we see America going straight down the road to God's Judgment. God clearly forbids homosexual practices, and commands such participants be put to death. [Leviticus 18:22, 29; See Radio Program, CE1027, "Churches and Homosexuality -- Sure Sign of the End", for full treatment of this subject]. Here, we see the spectacle of a state government putting the full force of its office and its prestige behind promoting homosexuality in our public schools!
NEWS REPORT: "Day-old Boy Found Alive In California Grave", The Sun Chronicle, May 18, 1998, page 5. "PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- A woman jogging with her dogs found a day-old boy along the path, partially buried with his umbilical cord still attached. The baby was undergoing treatment Sunday for severe hypothermia at Huntington Memorial Hospital. He was in serious condition ... Azita Milanin found the infant Saturday night partially buried, [wrapped] in a blue towel. 'He opened his eyes, and he grabbed my wrist from the ground and he would not let go', Milanian said."
"Authorities were seeking information that would help them identify the mother. 'The baby was full-term and the delivery appears to have occurred just before the child was discovered in a shallow grave', said Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy, Michael Irving."
Once again, we are confronted with the horror that too many Americans today have no natural affection, and are willing to commit murder rather than take responsibility for their own actions. This little boy could have been carried to full term and then adopted out, at state expense! Yet, the mother was so very callous that she decided to murder him. This kind of incident is not rare any more these days. In fact, such crime is getting monotonously common. Too many young mothers are too willing to murder their own flesh.
We are going to pause here, for the sake of brevity. We encourage you to read on, to Part 2 of this series of reviewing pertinent news of just one week in May, 1998, to show us how full of sin and crime this nation has become. Truly, the attitudes and values of too many of our citizens have swung dramatically away from Godly virtues to Ungodly attitudes and virtues. Too many of our citizens are showing forth the kinds of attitudes that will make them "proper receptors" to the Antichrist.
America is on a parallel path to pre-Nazi Germany; Hitler could not have taken power, and he could not have committed the crimes he did, unless he inherited a nation that contained enough German citizens who were "proper receptors" to him. We encourage you to read more about this unprecedented phenomenon in a book entitled, "The Occult Roots of Nazism", by Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, which succinctly researches the attitudinal change that occurred in enough German people to allow Hitler to arise. Remember that the actual Antichrist will be Hitler personified and revived. Additionally, we have repeatedly demonstrated that the current New Age Movement of today is pure Nazism revived, albeit under a different mask [See NEWS1003, NEWS1004, NEWS1005, and NEWS1008 for full details of this unbelievable repeating of history!].
We are at the End of the Age. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.
If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home.
