The Bible clearly teaches that no every era of time is exactly like the previous ones; in fact, the era in which a person lives, raises a family, and go through the experiences of life might just be very, very different in God's plan for the ages than the era of the father or the grandfather.

Theologians call this biblical truth "Dispensationalism". Let us review the key passage that teaches this critical truth.

"To everything there is a season and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what was planted. A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down and a time to build up, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance … a time to get and a time to lose, a time to keep and a time to cast away, a time to rend and a time to sew, a time to keep silence and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace." [Eccelesiastes 3:1-8; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Then, just to ensure that we got the message, the Preacher stated, in verse 11: He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds, a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy …" [Ibid]

Not only can this be true in a person's life, as they go through the various seasons, it is also true in God's Plan for the ages. Ancient Jewish scholars from the time of Moses taught that God had four time periods, or dispensations, planned for mankind, and that the 7-Day Creation Period was the type.

These scholars postulated that God's plan was to have 2,000 years before the Law, 2,000 years under the Law, 2,000 years under Messiah, and then 1,000 years of Rest. History has demonstrated the truth of this scholarly position, as we have had the three periods of 2,000 years each, and all the signs point to the beginning of the Tribulation Period, which will then be followed by the 1,000-Year Reign of Jesus Christ, the prophesied period of Rest.

Let us now focus on that period of time commonly called the End of the Age. In Matthew 24, Jesus foretold the "birth sorrows" of both the nation, Israel, and Antichrist. He said these birth sorrows would be wars, rumors of wars, nation rising up against nation, kingdom against kingdom, earthquakes in many places. [Verses 6-7]

Then, Jesus told us when the End of the Age began; it would begin when the first baby, Israel, was born! In verse 32-33, Jesus told us: "From the fig tree learn this lesson: as soon as its young shoots become soft and it puts out its leaves, you know of a surety that summer is near. So also when you see these signs, all taken together, coming to pass, you may know of a surety that He is near, at the very doors."

Based on these verses, Bible scholars have taught that, when Israel came back to her land, then all the prophecies pertaining to the End of the Age would begin to be fulfilled, in a cohesive package! Since Israel has come back to her land in 1948, all prophecies have either been fulfilled or the stage has been set for their systematic fulfillment. This is the essence of Cutting Edge Ministries; we demonstrate how the many prophecies are being fulfilled or are about to be fulfilled, in your Daily News.

Jesus also taught other matters pertaining to the End of the Age.

First, Jesus said that the Hallmark characteristic of the End of the Age was unparalleled spiritual deception. In verses 4, 11, and 24, Jesus warned of this deception; He said, in verse 24: "For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect [God's chosen ones]."

Secondly, Jesus taught that the End of the Age would be characterized by an extremely small number of true believers. In Luke 21:8, "…when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? In other words, the number of believers whom Jesus counts as His own will be very, very tiny at the End of the Age. To further this point, Jesus said, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." [Matthew 24:37] While Jesus then continued, giving examples of everyday life that the people were carrying on just before the rains began to engulf the earth, one must also realize that Noah preached repentance to this people for 120 years without even one convert! In God's reckoning, only 8 people - all of Noah's family - were righteous and deserving of escaping the judgment to come.

Thirdly, the Apostle Peter, writing through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, told us exactly what kind of attitude people were going to have at the End of the Age. "… scoffers (mockers) will come in the last days with scoffing, [people who] walk after their own fleshly lusts, and say, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the forefathers fell asleep, all things have continued exactly as they did from the beginning of creation." [2 Peter 3:3-4]

Finally, the Holy Spirit revealed to the Apostle Paul that the Christian Church at the End of the Age would drift so very far from the Fundamentals of the Faith that they would literally open the door to Antichrist! In other words, Antichrist can only arise if Christian leaders of the day open the door to him by abandoning firmly held fundamentals of the faith! Listen:

"Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and then the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition)." [2 Thess 2:3]

Steadily since World War II, the Christian Church has gone into deep apostasy. Today, such organizations as the World and National Council of Churches have led tens of thousands of congregations into Liberalism, even to the point of denying the Deity of Jesus Christ and other key doctrines of the faith. Today, many of the leaders admired by millions are in, reality, apostates of the faith.

But, you know, it was the same in the days of Ezekiel the prophet. God called him to begin prophesying six full years before the fall of Jerusalem. Chapters 1-24 contain dire predictions prior to the destruction of Jerusalem.

These were trying times to be a prophet of God and to deliver stern warnings to the people that they had better repent or God was going to deliver devastating judgments upon their heads. Neither the people nor the leaders of Israel wanted to hear Ezekiel's message. Not only were they completely in rebellion against God's Word, but the economy was so very, very good that they were completely caught up in the love of things material.

Let us review some of the conditions of Israel at that time:

God said the people were so hardhearted and so spiritually blind they would not listen to Ezekiel, even though his words were directly from God: "But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to the people, 'Thus saith the Lord God', he who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses to hear, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house." [Ezekiel 3:27; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary].

In 2:6-7, God told Ezekiel, "… son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words; though briers and thorns are all around you, and you dwell and sit among scorpions, be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house. And you shall speak My words to them, whether they will hear or refuse to hear; for they are most rebellious." [Ibid.]

The opposition to Ezekiel and his warnings of doom to Israel was so great that Ezekiel felt like he was sitting with briers and thorns all around, and that he was being stung with scorpions! This is bitter opposition to the man to whom God was actually speaking, and to whom God had charged to faithfully deliver His warnings.

Then, God became really specific with His charges against Israel. The leaders and the inhabitants of Jerusalem actually thought they could change God's commandments, for they smugly believed they lived in a "more advanced" aged. God thundered through Ezekiel: "Thus says the Lord God: 'This is Jerusalem … and she has changed and rebelled against My ordinances more wickedly than the heathen nations … for Israel has rejected My ordinances, and as for My statutes, they have not walked in them … I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments in the midst of you in the sight of the nations. And because of your abominations, I will do in you that which I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again … and all who are left of you, I will scatter to all the winds … I will scatter a third part to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. Thus shall My anger be spent and I will cause My wrath toward them to rest, and I will be eased and comforted. And they shall know, understand, and realize that, I , the Lord have spoken in My zeal, when I have accomplished My wrath upon them." [Ezekiel 5:5-13]

In that day, Israel had zealously gone after the gods of the heathens, just as Americans today have done. As good pagans, the Israelites believed in a God that was only good, who was all-loving. They had totally forgotten the concept that God is multi-faceted in His personality and will execute judgment so severely that no mortal man, and no nation, can stand before His wrath. That understanding is terribly lacking today, and today, American Liberal Churches teach the same "God is all love" doctrine.

Since Israel was enjoying the highest level of economic prosperity in her history, people had come to rely upon their material possessions and upon their personal wealth for security, thinking that bad times could never touch them. False religious leaders also spoke from the pulpits throughout the land, pointing to the economic prosperity and saying, "Don't listen to the bad tidings from Ezekiel, for if God were truly as angry with us as Ezekiel says He is, then we would not have this prosperity".

God removed all doubt:

"… their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord; they shall not satisfy their animal cravings, nor fill their stomachs with them, for wealth has been the stumbling-block of their iniquity." [Ezekiel 7:19; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Americans today are thinking along the same false, foolish, and spiritually blind manner! Too many Americans generally, and American Christians specifically, believe they are safe from any bad times and from any judgments of God because they have their investments, their retirement accounts, and their diversified portfolios. They do not realize that, in the days of wrath and judgment about to fall, these things will not satisfy, and they will not protect.

The people of Israel had convinced themselves that the prophecies of God concerning judgment would never happen! They even created a "proverb" to that effect. Listen: "Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel saying, 'The days drag on, and every vision comes to nothing and is not fulfilled?' Tell them, therefore, Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb and they shall use it no more as a proverb in Israel. But say to them, the days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision." [Ezekiel 12:22-23]

Today, Liberal Christians everywhere are saying the same thing, and Satan has provided the grist for the mill. He has ensured that repeated false visions and prophecies have been uttered by his own people, so that true prophecies will go unnoticed and totally ignored. Today, too many so-called Christians are ignoring true prophecy with their minds, while their hearts hope these good economic times will just continue to roll!

In fact, the people of today are exhibiting exactly the same attitude towards End Time prophecies as Peter said they would:

"... scoffers (mockers) will come in the last days with scoffing [people who] walk after their own fleshly desires and say, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the forefathers fell asleep, all things have continued exactly as they did from the beginning of creation". [2 Peter 3:3-4]

In response to this mocking attitude, God thunders down the corridors of time, "I will put an end to this proverb and they shall use it no more as a proverb ... . But say to them, the days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision."

An unidentified pastor predicted in the late 1800's that people would not recognize when prophecy is being fulfilled in their midst. Listen to his words carefully, for they are very insightful:

"The greatest events that have been spoken of by all the Holy Prophets will come along so naturally as the consequences of certain causes, that unless our eyes are enlightened by the Spirit of God, and the spirit of revelation rests upon us, we will fail to see that these are the events predicted by the Holy Prophets."

Isn't this the condition of people's hearts and minds toward today's events? The Illuminati has moved so gradually that the events unfold as if they were the natural consequence of other events. Further, every U.S. citizen today has been educated in a public school system carefully created and controlled by the Illuminati. History has been rewritten; true academics has not been taught; reading and writing have drastically declined so that people will not read, they will not think critically, and they will not recognize the gradual noose tightening around their neck! We encourage you to re-read NEWS1558, "Learning To Think Outside The Mental Box" for full understanding of this most important subject].

Now, let us return to our study of Ezekiel:

The major difficulty Ezekiel had in getting his message across to the common folk was the clergy! They looked so pious and religious on the outside, and commanded the respect of the Jewish multitude, but they had hearts of deceit and idolatry on the inside! Listen to God describe them:

"Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts; and put the stumbling block of their iniquity and guilt before their faces … 'Thus says the Lord God: Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols [of self-will and unsubmissiveness] into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face … they are all estranged from Me through their idols … and I will set My face against that [false worshipper] … and I will cut him off [kill him] from the midst of My people ... Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job were in [the land] they would save but their own lives by their righteousness …" [Ezekiel 14:3-14; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Spiritual matters had gotten so bad that God would not preserve the nation even if three of His greatest saints were living at the same time - Noah, Daniel, Job! The churches were totally given over to building attendance, building wealth, and pacifying their parishioner. Because the clergy had been given greater spiritual knowledge, they would be held to a more severe standard; additionally, God's judgments would start with the church, as we shall see in a few moments.

God then gave even more detail as to His anger with Israel. He compared her sins to that of Sodom; when you read this, you will recognize the United States of America, and virtually all the Western nations today. Most people think equate the "sin of Sodom" to homosexuality, but God says that that was not the only sin for which He brought the city into physical judgment.

"Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister, Sodom; pride, over-abundance of food, prosperous ease and idleness was hers, and her daughters'; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty …" [Ezekiel 16:49-50]

Churches today are like the churches in Israel during the time of Ezekiel, They, too, are full of pride, and are pursuing wealth and increasing offering plates. They, also, lounge in "prosperous ease" and in "idleness". The only matter in which the churches of today seem to excel is in "straightening the hand of the poor and needy" and yet this activity is the result of the humanist Social Gospel than a pure heart before God.

God pleads through Ezekiel to the Jew caught up in this type of sin. God pleaded, "I will judge you, O house of Israel … Repent and turn from all your transgressions lest iniquity be your ruin …" [Ezekiel 18:30]

God today is calling to men and women everywhere, pleading with them to repent before His great and terrible judgments fall. Today, false Christians and outright sinners are living during times in which the sands of the hourglass are falling; Jesus said that, when Israel came back to her land, the people living at that time would not all pass away before all prophesied events are fulfilled. The sands of the hourglass are falling through rapidly, and yet people who are Christians in their own eyes are refusing to heed God's Word and the proclamation of it, to repent before the events of the End of the Age roar through the world like a mighty tsunami.

God lamented through the prophet Isaiah the exact attitude the people. Listen: "For this is a rebellious people, faithless, and lying sons, children who will not hear the law and instruction of the Lord; who virtually say to the seers [by their conduct] 'See not'; and to the prophets, 'Prophesy not to us what is right; speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceitful illusions. Get out of the true way, turn aside out of the path, cease holding up before us the Holy One of Israel." [Isaiah 30:9]

This mindset is exactly what is present today. So many people over the past years have told me, "Don't be so negative all the time. Lighten up, tell us some good things for a change". I hear it all the time. My answer is always the same: when God has called you to document the spiritual downfall of a nation, and to warn its inhabitants of God's approaching judgment, how can you be "positive"?

Ezekiel faced this dilemma in his ministry, and God knew it right well. The type of man of God that Ezekiel was is described very well in the New Analytical King James Study Bible, written in 1964. It says this about Ezekiel:

"He was stern and inflexible, condemning relentlessly the sins of his people, and as rigid and unyielding in his zeal for righteousness and his declaration of the truth. His fidelity in the discharge of his office is one of the conspicuous facts of this book. He was divinely commissioned as a watchman, and how faithfully he discharged his duty. As the servant of Jehovah, he performed the task committed to him to the letter." [Ezekiel, Outstanding Facts, p. 986-7]

Ezekiel did not gloss over the sins of his people; he did not choose to focus on the "good" found within that society. He did not present "good feeling" messages, but he did continue warning his countrymen with all his heart, because that is what God specifically told him to do.

Then, God did a very interesting thing; He wrote all His impending physical judgments down on a scroll and then told Ezekiel to eat the scroll! Let us pick up this story: 3:1+

"… Son of man, eat what you find [in this book]; eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat the scroll. And He said to me, 'Son of man, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it." [3:1-3a]

What was this scroll described here? God had taken all His physical judgments that He was about to bring upon Israel, and had written them down on this scroll. Then, God commanded that Ezekiel eat the scroll - take into his being these terrible judgments. As a fervent Jewish citizen, Ezekiel had to have been as dismayed by these revelations as Daniel was when given End of the Age prophecies concerning Israel. The contents of that scroll had to be as bitter as any herb on earth.

Yet, we read that Ezekiel experienced the opposite sensation! "Then I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth." Now, how could this be? Ezekiel was just given as bitter a message as any man in history, a message that would make anyone want to retch. Yet, Ezekiel found the record of God's judgments sweet in his mouth! How can this be?

You see, Ezekiel was a man living in the center of God's Will, and daily living in sweet communion with Him. His spiritual nature rejoiced that God was finally going to act in judgment to spiritually clean Israel. As a righteous man, Ezekiel had to be sick and tired of all the constant sin in Israel. Let us review quickly the kind of sin of which Israel was guilty:

· Israel had forsaken the One True God and had substituted a false god of their own making, even pagan gods. America has done the same thing! We are following gods of humanism, New Age, neo-paganism, and "positive-thinking" techniques.
· Israel was guilty of greed, coveting, and stealing. Jeremiah 6:13
· Israel was guilty of violence and bloodshed so prevalent God said it covered the entire land - Ezekiel 7:23 "Prepare the chain of imprisonment, for the land is full of bloodguiltiness and the city is full of violence."
· Israel was guilty of the sin of adultery (Jeremiah 5:8)
· The real problem was spiritual, but the false shepherds did not remedy the situation with God's answers; rather, they told the people positive things, the things that are pleasant to the ear of a people.
· God declared that He would begin His execution of the nation of Israel by striking first at His own synagogues! Rather than church attendance and participation delivering a person from God, these false shepherds leading equally false people, were to be singled out for the first of God's judgments. Turn with me to Ezekiel 9, the prophetic picture of how God was going to destroy Israel, a prophecy literally fulfilled by King Nebuchadnezzar a few years later:

"The Spirit cried in my ears [in the vision] with a loud voice, saying, 'Cause those to draw near who have charge over the city [as executioners], every man with his destroying weapon in his hand'. And, behold, six men came from the direction of the upper gate … every man with his battle-ax in his hand; and one man among them was clothed in linen, with a writer's ink bottle at his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar. And the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherubim upon which it had rested to stand above the threshold of the Lord's house/ And the Lord called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer's ink bottle at his side. And the Lord said to him, 'Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in the midst of it. And to the others He said … "Follow the man with the ink bottle through the city, and smite; let not your eye spare, neither have any pity. Slay outright the elderly, the young man, and the virgin, the infant and the woman; but do not touch or go near any one on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary." [Ezekiel 9:1-6; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

"Begin at my sanctuary".

God started the slaughter of His physical judgment at the door to His temple, so sick and tired He was of the false spiritual shepherds and the equally false followers that had inhabited His holy place for so long. America is guilty of these sins for which God destroyed Israel, and more grievous sins beside. We are leading the world into the New World Order, the Kingdom of Antichrist. And yet, the false Christian Churches are entertaining their people, they are telling them what they want to hear, they are telling them that God is all-loving. Clergy throughout our land are making excuses for such blatant sins as homosexuality. Some churches are beginning to "ordain" homosexual pastors!

Has God written "Ichabod" -- "The glory is departed" -- over the doors to the churches in America?

Ezekiel, the man of God, to whom God personally spoke, was so hated for his true testimony, was so hated by his people to whom he ministered. Rather than appreciate his work, they demanded "smooth illusions" from their pastors. Is this you today?
We implore you to search your own heart to see if you are inflexible and unbending in telling the truth about the nation of America, or are you one who wants to be told "smooth things", pleasant things, especially on a Sunday morning as you are getting ready to go to church? The answer just might tell you a lot about the true nature of your soul before God.

"Come out from her [evil system], My people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in her plagues." [Revelation 18:4; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]

Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? This is the reason for this ministry, to enable you to first understand the peril facing you, and then help you develop strategies to warn and protect your loved ones. Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there.
