Halloween has proven to be a great bonanza to hard-pressed retailers.

"Sales of popular Halloween costumes 2011 seem to be helping boost business as kids and adults prepare for October 31st. Recent reports indicate that the Halloween spending for this year may improve for many retailers over last year. This is definitely reassuring news for retailers all over with holiday shopping coming up for many consumers as well. A recent Chicago Tribune report notes that holiday spending for Halloween is expected to reach $6.86 billion this year. This will make for the highest spending in 10 years now. The average person will spend about $72 on costumes, decorations, cards and candy."

Can you imagine Americans spending almost $7 billion in Halloween stuff? How many Christian missionaries could have been supported for that kind of money? When people stand before Jesus on the White Throne Judgment Day, one of the areas on which Jesus will focus is how each person spent his/her money. Money Management is most definitely a very large lesson the Bible teaches.

This next news segment tells us that Halloween is so beloved that it has proven recession-proof.

"With these stats in mind, many local and online retailers know that despite the bad economy, Halloween is one holiday people won't worry about spending for. A local Bellevue, Washington thrift store CEO commented to the Tribune that 'Halloween has grown tremendously in the past five years, so we have made it a bigger part of our selection'."

What costumes are the most popular? The list may surprise you.

This list of most popular adult costumes is revealing as to the spiritual condition of Americans. God warned mankind 3,000 years ago:

"... all who hate me love and court death." (Proverbs 8:36)

Therefore, we should not be too surprised to learn that the single most important symbol to a Satanist is a symbol of DEATH!

As you might expect, each of these TV / Movie titles "love and court death".

In 1993, while researching Satanism and how a country could slip into a love of, and service to, Lord Satan, a former Satanist told me that anyone could tell when a nation was slipping into a practice of Satanism. Multiple body piercing's, occult tattoos, and a spate of occult-based TV and movies, all scream loudly that this nation has slipped into Satan's orbit.

This popularity of Halloween in America today is disheartening to the Born Again Christian, because it represents the antithesis of everything for which we stand. Jesus Christ emphasized life here on earth, saying, "I have come that ye may have life, and have it more abundantly". (John 10:10)

But, Halloween is the celebration of the Dead, and of the Living Dead. When the Rock band, "The Grateful Dead" became popular, and stayed enormously popular, I knew America was turning toward Satan down deep in her soul. Because you see, while we Christians think it very normal, and desirable, to yearn to start spending eternity with Jesus Christ, so the Satanist yearns to walk through that doorway called Death, to begin spending time with Lord Satan. Now, at this point, I will get email from people saying that, just because they like Jerry Garcia and his Grateful Dead does not mean they are worshipping Satan, or that they are Satanists. Such people will be half-right in that assertion. I grant you that they do not overtly worship Satan. But, Satan is not called "The Great Deceiver" for nothing. Ponder carefully the Words of Jesus Christ,

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other." (Matthew 6:24) "He that is not with me is against me;" (Matthew 12:30). If you are not serving the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart, mind, and soul and are Born Again as He requires, you are serving Satan.

The most telling aspect of the Rock scene that identifies it as from Satan is its emphasis on Death symbols and imagery. God foretold, "But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." (Proverbs 8:36) All those people who walk far from God will begin to love and to court death. The farther they walk from God, the more they gravitate toward death. Therefore, you can place great spiritual significance in the death imagery of the Rock industry. And, you can sit up to take notice at the great popularity of Halloween at this point in American history. After all, this phenomenon is not occurring in a vacuum; America is preparing to move into the Kingdom of Antichrist, the New World Order, so its people have to be prepared to accept his Satanic values. No, they have to go further than just "accept" his values, they have to be conditioned to "love" Satan's values. Halloween popularity is proof positive that this value shift has occurred.

Let us return, for the moment, to the discussion about how Halloween is the antithesis of Biblical Christianity. Halloween is also the worship of Nature. Please consider this article, "Pagan Halloween Organizers Claim No Need To Worry", The Sun Chronicle, 10/30 P. 5.

"Celebrants will form a circle and invoke the dead, but there will be nothing sinister about the pagan celebration of the 'Samhain' holiday on Halloween, organizers say. 'We'll be remembering our ancestors and loved ones who have passed on to the other world,' Lynn Dube said ... The City Council, with a 5-3 vote last month, allowed the celebration at Plug Pond this Thursday after organizers sought to convince councilors and residents that they would not be worshipping the devil or sacrificing animals ... Dube and her husband, Ed, are practitioners of the Wiccan religion and owners of the business Magick 'n' Mail, which sells items used in pagan rituals. They said they were asked by other practitioners to organize a public celebration of the Wiccan new year. Plug Pond was chosen because the religion is nature-based and outdoor ceremonies are preferred."

Wicca is nature based, a worship of nature, primarily the four sacred elements Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. Therefore, Wiccans and all other occult groups, worship the Created World, rather than the Creator, in violation of Romans 1:21-25, "when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. .. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." The Wiccans may say they are worshipping God through Nature, but not Nature. That is simply not true. They worship Nature as God, in fact, believing in many gods, mankind being one of them.

Halloween is one of the eight (8) sacred Sabbats, or Sabbaths, in the Pagan calendar. Just for your edification, I have listed these eight Sabbaths for you, below.

1) February 2 Imbolg, or Candlemas also known as Ground Hog Day. The Earth Mother, or goddess, seasonally dead, feels within her womb the first festal stirring of spring.

2) March 21 Ostara, also known as Spring Equinox. Light and dark are in perfect balance, as the Sun crosses the equator and day and night are the same length. Pagans believe that the light, symbolic of the goddess, is now gaining strength and will eventually overcome the horned god.

3) May 1 Beltaine, also called Walpurgisnacht or Roodmass. This is why the Communists have always celebrated May 1, which they call May Day. Communism was never actually Atheistic; it has always been Satanic to its core. Remember, Karl Marx was a practicing Satanist.1 [For a more complete analysis of this most interesting subject, read NEWS1007, "Thesis x Antithesis = Synthesis"] Beltaine is celebrated as a symbol of fertility, the reincarnation of the goddess. The high priestess of a coven will reign for the next 6 months as the goddess. A crown is placed on her head, a ceremony known as "Drawing Down The Moon".

4) June 22 Litha, or Summer Solstice. The Sun god is at his strongest, highest, brightest, and longest enabling him to conquer the evil power of darkness, allowing fertility to come to the land. Remember, the Satanist reveres the land greatly, even over individual humans, because humans owe their life to the sacred land.

5) August 1 Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas. Witches will bring offerings to the gods to celebrate the harvest they are receiving, and to appease the gods to continually sustain the fertility of the earth.

6) September 21 Mabon, also known as Autumn Equinox. The strength of the horned god is increasing and the light, symbolized as the goddess, is decreasing. This is the other day when perfect balance between day and night is achieved.

7) October 31 Samhain, also known as Halloween, the most holy and powerful of the Sabbaths. The high priest of the coven begins his reign for the next six months. During the ceremony, the high priest will wear a crown in a ceremony known as "Drawing Down The Sun. The horned god will physically indwell him [demonic possession]. During this time, Satanists believe that the barriers which separate this world from the spirit world are at their 'thinnest', so this is the most opportune time to contact someone from beyond this world. This is one of the best days to utilize the powers of the occult. The great horned god is a symbol of Satan himself. Halloween is simply and only the glorification of Satan.

8) December 22 Yule, also known as Winter Solstice2

"Sabbaths are meetings in which a witch's coven or covens will join to perform magic rites and ceremonies ... All the meanings of the Sabbath revolve around the central figures in the occult -- the goddess and the horned god, their reincarnation back into life, their reign while in the world, and their death are encompassed in the Sabbaths."3

God established the Sabbath as a time in which He is to be uniquely worshipped, so it is both a counterfeit and an insult to worship Satan on these Sabbats. but, Halloween is the ultimate worship of Satan. How, then, can a nation which has traditionally glorified God through the New Testament principles of Jesus Christ, come so far as to wallow in the slop of glorifying Satan, on his most holy and powerful day, Halloween?

The answer will both shock you and enlighten you!! Please ponder carefully what we are about to share with you, for you will finally understand why America is in the deep spiritual trouble which we see all around us, and why we can lead the nations of the world into the worship of Antichrist.

America has removed its formerly Christian Values Foundation, replacing it with a Satanic Values Foundation. Did you know that a person who wants to be initiated into Satanism will be required to pass through three (3) distinct steps of Initiation, steps which will take place over a period of weeks or months, before that person can be formally initiated into the Satanic coven.

The three Stages Of Satanism are:

1a. SELECTION EVALUATION --- Select people who possess the following personal characteristics:

Devoid of a moral conscience.

Considered themselves to `be with it' Smug, arrogant

Vaguely dissatisfied with their experiences.

Dissatisfied with their environment.

Possessed a peculiar kind of instability which makes them ripe for drugs, witchcraft, crimes.

Must have some fear about something.

Have to have a certain amount of guts, courage, yet also a moral weakness.

1b. SELECTION INVITATION- Invite the people who were selected according to the above criteria to a wild, uninhibited party. At this party, alcohol and drugs will flow freely, and sex is so wild and uninhibited that most people are completely caught up in the thrill and uniqueness of it. If there are both male and female initiates present, the coven will require that both male and female coven members will be present. The sex at these parties, orgies actually, is planned to be so terrific that the uninitiated are completely consumed by the thrill of it, and can only think of when they can do it again. Several of these parties are planned, so that all the moral inhibitions that the uninitiated may have possessed are thoroughly broken down and destroyed. Sex, drugs, and alcohol all work their 'magic' to destroy these inhibitions. But, drugs work a special magic, in that they "open a person's 'Third Eye' to expand their spiritual consciousness" so they can accept the doctrines which will be shortly presented to them. Drugs are absolutely essential to properly expanding an individual's consciousness, to move them away from the old values, beliefs, and spiritual understandings, and to move them solidly into the Satanic understandings they will be taught. Without drug use, usually a lot of drug use, there can be no Satanism. Without drug use, people simply cannot achieve the 'consciousness expansion' so necessary to whatever brand of the occult in which a person may be involved, including the New Age.

2a. INTRODUCTION TO WITCHCRAFT EVALUATION -- Those potential members who were properly eager in their participation in Stage One were then invited to participate in Stage Two.

2b. MILD INTRODUCTION TO WITCHCRAFT -- "...the meetings were pretty mild.." Simple doctrines are taught. A lot of blasphemy against Jesus Christ is proclaimed by the coven members who then watch carefully to see if the uninitiated are properly enthusiastic about blaspheming also.

3a. INITIATION EVALUATION -- People who take the second stage seriously are then invited into the Third Stage. At each stage, a full evaluation of each of the uninitiated by mature members of the coven is performed, to ensure that only people who truly have no affection for Jesus Christ and no inhibitions left, will proceed to the stage of actually being initiated into the coven.

3b. ACTUAL INITIATION as a full-fledged member of the coven. The initiation ceremony is complete with all the elements associated with witchcraft.

Correct formulas are pronounced.

Member is forced to sign his/her name in the official coven member's book with his own blood.

The new member was then assigned to a `mature' member for in-depth discipleship.

This country, as a collective group, has undergone these exact steps, in recent history!! For those of you who grew up in the 1960's and early 1970's, hold on to your hat, for you are going to understand something about America you have never understood before. Now, all those crazy events from 1965-1975 are going to make some sense.

Consider how these steps into Satanism precisely correlate to America's recent history.

In 1965, many people seemed:

1). Devoid of a moral conscience.

2). Dissatisfied with their lives in particular and with America in general.

3). The general attitude of those who were protesting during this period was one of smugness and self-admiration. They "knew the score". And, they despised those who disagreed with them!

4). The entire scene seemed to possess instability, which made its participants ripe for "drugs, witchcraft, and crimes that went along with it". The signature crime which identified this era seemed to be the murder of eight nurses in Chicago on July 14, 1966, by Richard Speck. This case was so unusual, that Bill Martin, chief prosecutor for the Cook County state attorney's office, asserted, "This case, in a sense, defined an era... It ended the sense of security, even naivete, of the American public about the presence of evil and what evil was capable of."
Evil began its explosion here.

5). Fear of nuclear war grew steadily.

6). War protesters during this era demonstrated courage in the face of the American legal system; yet, they also exhibited personal moral weakness. Usage of alcohol and drugs exploded among the young, and sex moved out into the open.

We should, if our premise is true, then expect America to participate in a series of orgy-type parties, as she moved into, and through, Step One of the standard Three-Step Initiation Process.

Consider the setting in the mid-1960's: drugs and alcohol were consumed in a seemingly endless stream; sex became very open and uninhibited, both in private parties and in public pornography. Many Americans seemed completely caught up in the uniqueness and the thrill of these activities.

Many, many of these parties were carried out during this ten year period, 1965-1975!

If a significant segment of America was, indeed, going through Step One, then we should expect to see that preparation for Step Two would begin immediately. After all, some people would be ready to move into Step Two before others. Therefore, we should look for mild Satanic doctrines to be taught, to a very large, national audience. What national medium could possibly work to inculcate mild Satanic doctrines to such a large audience, located literally from 'Sea to Shining Sea'?

How were these doctrines being taught? Rock music changed its direction in 1964, with the advent of the Beatles, followed later by Heavy Metal bands. Rock music proved to be the perfect medium by which Satan could instill his doctrines because it reached millions of teens and young adults. The Beatles led the charge to glorify drug usage, and soon many other groups joined in the fun. Drug usage exploded during this era.

We also should not be surprised that Satan would want a formal Church. On April 30, 1966, Anton LaVey founded the World-Wide Church of Satan. This date is critically important, as April 30 - May 1 is the two day celebration of Beltaine, the second-most important Sabbat on the Pagan calendar, surpassed in importance only by Halloween.

LaVey systematized all valid doctrines and practices which had always constituted Satanism in the past, creating a church similar in structure to any other church in the Western World. He also published his "Satanic Bible" which quickly became a best-selling, especially on college campuses coast-to-coast.

Satan now was ready to attempt a takeover of America.

Thus, America thoroughly moved through all points of Stage One of Initiation into Satanism.

This stage lasted until 1975, at which time America began to move into Stage Two. Now, remember, in Stage Two, spiritual doctrines are taught. We noted, above the role that Rock Music played in inculcating such doctrines to its young, spiritually immature adherents. But, there were other signs that the nation was going through Stage Two.

The New Age movement went public in 1975. Tens of millions were attracted to the uniqueness of the New Age, that were not so moved by hard rock. But, the Satanic principles were so very similar.
In 1976, Americans elected President Carter, who appointed the New Age leader, Mr. Zbignew Brzezinski as his National Security Advisor. At the top level of American Government, New Age principles became the guiding light formulating domestic policy.
New Age ideas started to penetrate American businesses via seminars, from 1975-1985. Prestigious companies were involved. Many of America's elite business leaders were unwittingly exposed to many occult ideas through these seminars. I personally experienced this activity, as low to high level executives were required to attend "Personal Growth" seminars given by Lou Tice of Pacific Institute. We were taught many occult principles, including how to succeed through occult visualization. Of course, neither I nor anyone else attending knew that we were being exposed to occult principles, but we were being conditioned to accept it in our lives, nevertheless.
Courses in `New Age Thinking' abounded -- in TV, magazines, and mail-order channels.
People were further dissatisfied with their environment. Tremendous emphasis was placed on environment, and protection of the atmosphere and oceans. It was at this time that Extreme Environmentalism was born. We were warned of Global cooling, which was then changed to Global Warming a few years later. Other global environmental disasters were touted. We were warned that, if the world did not change its direction, it was headed for unbelievable disaster.
Apostate churches and writers began to really drift away from the truth and began to present many of the New Age doctrines that were reworded in Christian-sounding words. Remember, Paul declared, through the power of the Holy Spirit, that even though the Antichrist wanted to appear, he could not because he was restrained by the power of the Holy Spirit. .
Many of our leaders in the Federal Government began to openly espouse New Age objectives.
Prominent personalities began to publicly preach New Age doctrine winning millions of converts. Shirley McClaine is the most conspicuous, but there were many. And, they popularized the occult in the lives of many Americans.
Rock groups began to act and perform in ever more bizarre and evil ways. Many began to really use Satanic regalia in their stage and video productions. Their lyrics became so overtly Satanic that it was no longer necessary to hide them in back-masking anymore.
MTV began its successful run during this time period, acting as a Pied Piper for tens of millions of teens, spreading Satanic concepts and doctrines thoroughly.
This country then slipped into Stage Three in 1989, and is now pursuing the course of discipleship. I select this date because "...the Age of Aquarius officially began March 11, 1989."
1989 is the year the USA has shifted into the third stage of Satanism. The cover of Newsweek (December 25, 1989) proclaimed this fact most succinctly:
"1989 -- 2011 -- Changing The Course Of History".
America, as a nation, is now a mature Satanist, now into Stage Three.
If America has really passed into the third stage of Satanism, this means that her foundation has changed from Christian to Satanism. This is devastatingly powerful for two critical reasons.

1. No Pagan nation has ever escaped God's physical judgment.
2. Since attitudes and values stream forth from a nation's religious foundation, we should expect fundamental changes occurring, most of which are visible to the alert observer. Every society has several types of citizens.

(1). Those who are on fire for their religion.
(2). Those who are serious about observing their religious practices.
(3). Those who are mildly serious about coming to church, but who solidly believe in the moral precepts taught by their religion.
(4). Those who aren't serious at all about the predominate religion of their culture, but who feel constrained to live according to those moral values which are most important to others in the culture.
(5). Those who could not care less about the moral teachings of society's religion, not even caring about pretense.

If America is in the third stage of Satanism, we should be able to see individuals 1-4 subscribing to its values. Note that individuals 3-5 may not be actual Satanists, but still possess many of its values.
What are the predominate values of Satanism?
Satanism urges indulgence in each of the following areas:

Personal selfishness, i.e., greed and pride.

Lust

Anger

Envy

Gluttony

Sloth, i.e., laziness.

The elevation of these Satanic values to the level of encouraging its members to deliberately indulge in them has produced tremendous societal effects.

Desire for sex, power, and money.

Life is cheapened both at birth and at death. Life loses its God-given sanctity, and becomes valuable only in relation to what it worth it can provide to society. If our theory is true, we should expect to see increased demand for both Abortion and Euthanasia. After all, Satanism teaches that man is simply an animal that has evolved higher up the Evolutionary ladder.

Obsession with violence and murder. Society should be expected to become a much more dangerous society. Darwinian philosophy of "Survival of the Fittest" and the Strongest, will prevail. If you don't believe me, read Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible. This philosophy permeates this book.

Lack of compassion or empathy

Obsession with death, including demands for human sacrifice. Abortion plays a great role in this human sacrifice. Remember, I asked a former Satanist, now a Born Again Christian, how a Satanist looks as at Abortion. His reply was that Satanists regard Abortion as the highest level of human sacrifice to Lord Satan.

America, as a nation, has now entered into the Third Stage of Satanism, and is now going through the discipleship process, the final step in maturation. And, it all fits in with God's timetable.

Dramatic change is in the air; it feels like electricity. Born-again Christians can feel it; New Agers are being told by their `guiding spirits' that change is coming; and secular authors who just have their antennae up can feel the change that is imminent.

In summary, Fundamental Christian pastors have been preaching for years against the dangers of celebrating Halloween, believing that such celebration would make it easier for young people to accept the premises of more hard-core Satanism later on. Many people, including other Christians, accused such pastors of "over-reacting", insisting that all the Satanic costumes and other parts of the traditional Halloween celebration, was just simple, "innocent" fun. How many times have you heard them say, "Halloween is for the kids"?

Well, now the verdict is in, and sadly, it vindicates the pastors. The old adage is true, that "What one generation tolerates, the next generation embraces". The situation we have just described, above, is a perfect example of this adage. The parents of my generation tolerated "innocent" celebrations of Halloween. Now, their children and grandchildren are embracing hard-core Satanic values and attitudes.

While we are lamenting the sudden increase in Satanic based TV shows, movies, and videos, plus games like Dungeons and Dragons, remember that it would not have been possible had the parents after World War II held a rigid, no compromising attitude against the celebration of Halloween.

This is probably the single most successful, and long-running example, of the Six-Step Attitudinal Change Plan in the world today. Are you spiritually ready? Is your family? Are you adequately protecting your loved ones? Once you have been thoroughly trained, you can also use your knowledge as a means to open the door of discussion with an unsaved person. I have been able to use it many times, and have seen people come to Jesus Christ as a result. These perilous times are also a time when we can reach many souls for Jesus Christ, making an eternal difference.

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but have been very lukewarm in your spiritual walk with Him, you need to immediately ask Him for forgiveness and for renewal. He will instantly forgive you, and fill your heart with the joy of the Holy Spirit. Then, you need to begin a daily walk of prayer and personal Bible Study.

If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, but have come to realize His reality and the approaching End of the Age, and want to accept His FREE Gift of Eternal Life, you can also do so now, in the privacy of your home. Once you accept Him as Savior, you are spiritually Born Again, and are as assured of Heaven as if you were already there. Then, you can rest assured that the Kingdom of Antichrist will not touch you spiritually.
