Since the American-led invasion of March 20, 2003, President Bush's strategy for winning that war has utterly failed; however, Iran's plan to counter the American attack on Iraq has largely succeeded (Read NEWS1910). Now that the final chapter appears to be playing out against the American war, is Iran about to launch her "many wars" strategy designed to finally defeat the Americans and bring Israel to her knees?
Listen as this strategy is enunciated:
" 'Iraq is a swamp', Khamenei said in his address to the guards. 'The Great Satan will get caught in that swamp; and that will speed up its inevitable collapse'. In a recent article Velayati spelled out a strategy aimed at 'confronting the Great Satan in a number of fronts.' "
Today, as we speak, the Middle East is rumbling with the sounds of a mighty war. Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Hamas are all actively preparing for war, with Iran and Syria on a war footing. Remember, all this activity is occurring just prior to the 40th anniversary of Israel's recapture of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount during the Six Day War of 6-6-1967!
Iran is preparing for war:
NEWS BRIEF: "Iran responds to American military build-up by placing its air defense units on War Footing", DEBKAfile Intelligence, March 10, 2007
"Over the weekend, DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal American air contingents from the United States and Europe continued to land at US Persian Gulf air bases. Iran responded by placing its air defense units on a war footing and deploying Revolutionary Guards special forces units around its nuclear installations ... Tuesday, March 6, Tehran announced a nationwide air defense drill. This was camouflage for the mobilization of the air defense brigades’ reserve units and their deployment around Tehran and other main towns and national strategic installations, including nuclear and oil facilities. This step placed all of Iran’s air defenses on full war footing."
"The Revolutionary Guards additionally encircled all nuclear facilities with the commando units they had formed as protection against possible raids by American or Israeli special forces."
Russian President Putin has been very active lately warning America and Israel that they had better not attack Iran. Remember, Putin on April 12, 2003, warned America not to attempt any more "Regime Changes" in the Middle East, because Russia, Germany, and France would not permit it. At the time, Americans were cheering their "easy victory", Putin stepped to the podium with Germany's Chancellor Schroeder and France's President Chirac sitting behind him, to warn America not to try to overthrow any more regimes.
American forces were threatening Iran and American politicians were taunting Iran, "you're next"!
Since that warning, President Bush has not overthrown any other regime in the Middle East.
But, now the threatening has gotten a whole lot worse! Gas prices at the pump are rising rapidly in response to this increasingly precarious situation, with rumors of war swirling all around.
One interesting tidbit of information has come to our attention regarding Russia and Iran. Since April 12, 2003, Russia's Putin has reiterated on several occasions that Russia has become the protector of Arab states. In this regard, Russia has supplied Iran and Syria with extremely advanced weaponry, Russian experts are working at the nuclear power plants which would be attacked, and Putin is said to have dispatched elite Russian Spetsnaz forces to protect Iranian vital targets, beginning with the nuclear power plants.
However, even as the American and Israeli military pressure is building, we suddenly hear of a rift between Russia and Iran!
NEWS BRIEF: "Iran Wants Russia to Complete Bushehr NPP on Time", MOSNEWS.com, March 9, 2007
"Iran urged Russia on Friday to meet its contractual obligations on building and fueling a nuclear power station at Bushehr, as the two sides tried to resolve financial disagreements in Moscow ... The deputy chairman of Iran’s nuclear energy agency, Mohammad Saidi, said that Russian nuclear contractor Atomstroiexport and nuclear agency Rosatom should stick to deadlines covered by their contract for completing the controversial Bushehr facility ... Talks began Wednesday over delays in the project blamed by Russia on late payments by Iran."
What strikes me as ridiculous about this story is that Iran is reportedly late on making payments to Russia for the nuclear plant! Because of the huge explosion of the cost of crude oil over the past four years, oil-exporting countries like Iran are awash in money. Russia is certainly awash in cash. Therefore, it makes no sense to me to think that Iran would be unable to meet a scheduled payment on this power plant.
But, if Russian/Iranian leadership wanted to plant a false impression in the minds of American leaders about the potential effectiveness of the Russian/Iranian alliance, a story like this one makes a lot of sense. When preparing for war, sowing seeds of doubt in the minds of your attacker is always a preferred action to undertake.
Syria is preparing for war.
NEWS BRIEF: "Syria deploys rockets along Israel border", Daily News For A New Pakistan, Saturday, March 10, 2007
"JERUSALEM/BRUSSELS: Israel said on Friday that Syria had positioned along its border with the Jewish state thousands of medium- and long-range rockets capable of striking major town across the north of the country ... Israeli military and government sources said that the Jewish state viewed the Syrian deployment, coupled with other recent reports of troop mobilisation, as an indication that Damascus might be preparing for future 'low intensity warfare' against Israel."
While this conclusion might be reasonable, historical reality is that, normally, whenever an Islamic country has attempted "low intensity" warfare against the Jewish State, it has lost. Israel seems Divinely prepared to withstand long periods of conflict without breaking. The only exception is the Palestinian Intifada low-intensity wars, but the only reason Israel is losing this war is because she intends to maneuver the Palestinians (the ancient "House of Esau") into position so that she can annihilate the entire nation in fulfillment of Obadiah 15-18 and Ezekiel 34 (Read NEWS2095 for full details).
With war preparations in Iran and elsewhere on a high level and with Syria and Iran cooperating with each other for the past two years -- under Russian supervision -- this build-up makes more sense that Iran is ratcheting up the pressure all around Iraq and Israel.
Now, let us return to our featured article:
" 'We have noticed that in recent months Syria has deployed hundreds, possibly thousands, of medium- and long-range rockets along the border (with Israel)', one military source said. 'Many of the rockets are hidden in underground chambers and in camouflaged silos, which make them very difficult to locate', the source added. The sources, three of whom were from the military and two from the government, said that Syria had built a system of fortified underground tunnels along its border with Israel, which they said posed 'a real strategic threat' to the Jewish state."
With Israel being such a tiny state, she will always be potentially vulnerable to a quick strike of overwhelming numbers of missiles, mortar and artillery barrages. Before Israel could counterattack to destroy the enemy locations, Israel could suffer major damage. At least, that is the military strategy being employed here. However, such a strategy of close-in firepower and of building fortified bunkers could also be used to pour forth large numbers of ground troops. That strategy makes sense if Syria is planning a drive to Tel Aviv.
Remember, Syria was the Arab nation which came the closest to defeating Israel. In the 1973 Yom Kippur War, Syria took the Golan Heights before Israel could muster her reserves -- an action which takes 72 hours. For over 24 hours, the road to Tel Aviv from the Golan Heights was wide open. Syrian units could have taken Tel Aviv and could possibly have inflicted a mortal wound on the Jewish nation. However, the Syrian commanding general was seized with the unreasonable fear that he was facing a trap, so he delayed ordering his troops down the road to Israel's capital. Once this general had been relieved of command, Israel's reserves had taken position and the Syrian advance was blunted and turned back. The only explanation for this unusual fear to take hold of a seasoned combat general was God's intervention! (This Syrian general was later executed).
"One government source described the move as evidence of Syria 'investing in fields where it can have an edge', given that Israel’s advanced air force and 'smart weapons' afforded the Jewish state 'absolute superiority in several fields in warfare'." The source went on to explain that Syria 'has invested in recent years in anti-aircraft weapons, rockets, missiles and bunkers', adding that last year’s Israeli war on Lebanon, in which the Jewish state found itself unable to overpower Hezbollah, 'proved to the Syrians that they were right to do so'. Government sources said that this explained why Syria was concluding a deal with Russia to procure thousands of advanced anti-tank missiles, of the sort that Hezbollah used against the Israeli army during last summer’s conflict. "
This segment demonstrates that this Syrian build-up is the result of a longer-range plan than the IDF is prepared to admit at this point. The Iranian plan to "light up" Israel was enunciated in later March, 2003. It is possible that this military preparation is the result of this 4-year-old Iranian plan (Read NEWS1910).
Some Israeli military experts believe these signs point to an imminent attack, not one of "low intensity".
"These concerns over a possible imminent Syrian attack on Israel have also been echoed by Israeli experts ... Begin-Saadat Centre for Strategic Studies Director Ephraim Inbar said: “Syrian President Bashar al-Assad realised after the Lebanon war (last year) that Israel was not as strong as it seems and that it could be threatened by simple means rather than an advanced army.”
We have stated on many occasions that the foolishly fought Israeli 33-day war against Lebanon likely has given all Arabs the idea that the vaunted Israeli Defense Force is not as fearsome as she once was, while the Arabs now have more modern Russian-supplied weapons that can take the Israelis down. When you add this new feeling of confidence to the Shi'ite belief that the Islamic Messiah, "Imam Mahdi" is about to appear to lead all Islamic forces to victory against the Western Infidels, you have all the ingredients to all-our Middle East war!
This next news story provides more detail as to the threat these missiles pose to Israel.
NEWS BRIEF: "Israeli military and government sources report Syria has positioned thousands of rockets on its border with Israel", DEBKAfile Intelligence, March 9, 2007
"In its detailed report, AFP discloses that most of the Syrian rockets positioned on Israel’s border are 220 mm with a range of 70 km and 302 mm rockets with a reach of 100 km, AFP reports. The latter could reach Israel’s third largest port city of Haifa and its industries, as well as Tiberias and Kiryat Shemona. Many are hidden in underground chambers and camouflaged silos. The Israeli sources said Syria had built a system of fortified underground tunnels along its border with Israel. They also believed Syria had deployed several FROG rocket launchers with a 550-kilogram warhead and 70-km range in areas between the border and the capital Damascus, 40 km away. Syria concentrates most of its long-range surface missiles in the north. Its decision to bring them so close to the border may indicate that Damascus is seriously thinking of attacking Israel."
Obviously, if Israel chooses not to deploy her Scalar Electromagnetic weaponry, she could suffer considerable damage. Syria and Egypt have long been stockpiling tens of thousands of rockets and missiles with varying lengths of range. These rockets could damage Israel tremendously.
Hezbollah and Hamas are preparing for another war:
NEWS BRIEF: "Israeli Official: 'Syria, Hezbollah Will Attack if Iran is Hit' ", Aruz-7 News, 2/27/2007
"(IsraelNN.com) Israeli security officials said if any war breaks out involving Iran, they expect Syria, Hezbollah and terrorist groups in Judea, Samaria and Gaza to join the fray and attack Israel. This assumption is echoed by terrorist leaders from several groups. the greatest threat Syria poses to the Jewish state are the country's missiles. They noted that Syria recently test-fired two Scud-D surface-to-surface missiles, which have a range of about 400 km., covering most Israeli territory. The officials said the Syrian missile test was coordinated with Iran and is believed to have been successful. It is not known with what type of warhead the missiles were armed, but Syria is known to possess weapons of mass destruction."
"Terrorist leaders are saying openly that an attack on Iran will lead to a coordinated counterattack on Israel and US interests. A senior leader of the Islamic Jihad group says that during any attack on Iran, his organization has been directed by Iran to 'wreak havoc' on Israel with suicide bombings, rocket attacks and 'special surprises'. He said rocket attacks would be launched from both the Gaza Strip and from Judea and Samaria."
This next segment carries great importance:
"Tehran is expecting its nuclear installations to be attacked ... Islamic Jihad's leader Ramadan Shallah has been coordinating war plans with Iran, Syria and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah Lebanese militia. Shallah resides in Damascus and travels frequently to Tehran ... Abu Ahmed, who heads the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Samaria (said) Our strategy is not to leave the Islamic alliance [Iran] alone against the enemy," he said. 'All Palestinian organizations will work together in shooting rockets, suicide bomb attacks and other steps and actions decided closely'."
"Syria and Iran signed a military agreement in which either will respond if the other is attacked."
Since Iran is expecting America or Israel to attack her nuclear facilities, she has carefully laid plans to attack American interests throughout the world. In fact, this planning has been going on for years. Remember Iran's conclusions after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans? Let us quickly review them, for they have great bearing upon this subject.
NEWS2074 -- "NEWS BRIEF: "Iran military says Katrina showed U.S. could be turned into 'war zone' ", Iran Focus, 11 September 2005
""Tehran, Iran, Sep. 11 – Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have been following closely the way the United States government has been handling Hurricane Katrina, and drawing strategic conclusions from it ... a top official of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said the devastating hurricane had exposed America’s vulnerabilities."
"" 'The mismanagement and the mishandling of the acute psychological problems brought about by Hurricane Katrina clearly showed that others can, at any given time, create a devastated war-zone in any part of the U.S.', Brigadier General Masoud Jazayeri, the official spokesman of the IRGC, said ... 'How could the White House, which is impotent in the face of a storm and a natural disaster, enter a military conflict with the powerful Islamic Republic of Iran..."
""Jazayeri said the hurricane havoc showed that 'contrary to public perception, the strength of America’s leadership is like a balloon, which can easily burst ... Precise information from inside America shows a lack of coordination among military, security, and political agencies in that country and brings to light the fact that others can cause many times the amount of damage compared to the blows they may receive'."
Make no mistake about the fact that the war drums are beating more loudly than ever in the Middle East. God's prophecies in the Middle East are coming true right now, right in front of our eyes! Read Joel 3 carefully, for this is the main prophecy about to be fulfilled.
What is the bottom line?
"Prepare war! Stir up the mighty men! Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong, a warrior!"
